Front Office - Team Leader

A Front Office - Team Leader supervises the Front Office Team to ensure that Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver our Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out.

What will I be doing?

As Front Office - Team Leader, you will oversee the Front Office Team which is the main connection between the Guest, the hotel, and the various hotel departments. A Front Office Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

Oversee the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards
Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement
Ensure regular and VIP Guests are recognised and that the Front Office department operates with a sales attitude and promotes the hotel brand's loyalty scheme
Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
Set departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures
Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork
Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to learn and understand policies and practices
Maintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departments
Monitor staffing levels to meet cover business demands
Conduct monthly communication meetings and produce minutes
Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
Recruit, manage, train and develop the Front Office team
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems
Assist with other departments, as necessary

What are we looking for?

Front Office - Team Leaders serving Hilton brands are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years of Front Office supervisory experience in the hotel, leisure, and/or retail sector
High level of IT proficiency
High level of commercial awareness and sales capabilities
Experience of managing people and developing people
Previous experience of managing a department and Profit and Loss account
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
Accountable and resilient
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent grooming standards
Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Familiar with Property Management Systems
A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Management Leader to join our team for a major 5-year consulting program with a public sector organization focused on the operation and maintenance of roads and drainage assets. The Operations Leader will report directly to the Program Director and will be responsible for leading consulting and client teams in the execution of operational transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of consultants and client personnel dedicated to operational excellence.

Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team.

Project Development & Execution

Design and implement operational strategies that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery related to roads and drainage assets.

Oversee the execution of transformational projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards.

Monitor project progress, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with client stakeholders to identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

Provide regular updates and reports to the Program Director and client executives on project status, challenges, and outcomes.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in operations management.

Facilitate training and workshops to enhance the operational capabilities of the client team.

Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum of 25 years of experience in a relevant area, with at least 15 years in a leading role, preferably within the roads or drainage sectors.

Qualified professional who has reached the Senior Management level; capable of providing planning,

leadership, direction, and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multi-discipline projects.

Both regional and international experience is required. A minimum of 8 years of experience shall be gained working in North America, W. Europe, Australia, or equivalent.

Demonstrated success in leading transformational projects and managing diverse teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the USA, Canada, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Required relevant Chartered status and Professional License(s)

Skills

Strong leadership and team development skills.

Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in operations management principles and methodologies.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Language Skills

Arabic language skills are preferred but not essential.

About the job

- Develop, and manage account activity plans to meet budgeted volumes and margin objectives, in alignment with the overall sales strategy.
- Lead and manage the implementation of the commercial strategy with key account customers.
- Lead the annual agreement negotiation process with key retailer.
- Produce excellent conceptual selling decks and establish Arla Foods as the category leader with key customers.
- Deliver annual sales and P&L targets by developing and executing the customer business plans
- Prepare and evaluate/track sales budgets ensuring that agreement counter performance (from customer) is executed.
- Build effective annual promotion plans based on sound sales development and profitability analysis.
- Develop customer strategy and annual business plan in line with overall sales strategy
- Effective management of allocated promotional budgets.
- Analyze available data sources to manage the portfolio and drive growth opportunities for Arla brands with each customer.
- Continuously analyze customer development, define and maximize business development opportunities
- Ensure that the company is at the forefront of customer relationship management.
- Continually search to understand customer needs better and respond with customized program (in line with the brand equity) that are mutually beneficial for Arla and the customer.
- Build strong intercompany networks and establish close cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders on the customer side.
- Jointly develop winning customer category strategies and conceptual sells.

Who are you?

FMCG sales experience of minimum 5 years including 2 years of account management.
Experience of managing business development agreements
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills – internal and external.
An expert in understanding sales and category trends
Strong analytical skills
Willingness to take calculated risk.
Excellent use of office applications, Microsoft Office
