You as a HSE Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai, UAE. Reporting to the Operating Unit Manager - UAE, you will be leading and directing the occupational health and safety advisory team to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing Health & Safety strategies and internal policies after approval of the Region Manager.
  • Consulting with and assisting Operating Units in the development of their Health & Safety policies.
  • Ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered and policies and practices are adopted.
  • Anticipating, identifying and evaluating hazard conditions and practices.
  • Developing hazard controls, methods, procedures and processes to eliminate or reduce health and safety incidents.
  • Implementing, administrating, and advising on hazard control programs.
  • Managing and evaluating effectiveness of hazard control programs.
  • Leading in-house training with senior managers about health and safety issues and risks.
  • Regular on-site inspections to audit policies and procedures.
  • Keeping abreast of new legislation regarding Health & Safety and implement any required changes.
  • Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or related field.
  • 10 years of experience.
  • Knowledge in Health and Safety background with fundamental background in physics, chemicals, mathematics. Background in Business with Finance knowledge.
  • Proven negotiating, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with company executives.
  • Knowledge of fire protection, hazardous substances, ergonomics.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, the Senior Auditor is primarily responsible for the delivery of audit assignments throughout the Group’s various business activities both in Kuwait and overseas. This includes, inter alia, the administration of the audit assignment from beginning to end, including report preparation and finalization, in accordance with departmental procedures.  The post holder should always represent the department in a professional manner , abide by professional standards as laid down by the IIA, and seek every opportunity follow the principles articulated in the department’s vision and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Independently manage audit fieldwork and supervise team of junior staff for assurance related engagements.
  • The preparation of working papers in accordance with departmental procedures and best practice.
  • Liaison with Audit Managers/Senior Audit Manager on a periodic basis regarding the status of audits in progress
  • Guiding auditors or interns effectively and efficiently and ensuring that they feel well supported throughout the process.
  • Preparing the draft audit reports for Manager’s/Senior Manager’s review.
  • Agreeing all findings, factual content, context and agreed actions to be taken.
  • Supporting special investigations as required including those related to theft or suspected fraud.
  • Participating in companywide risk assessments used to prepare the annual plan.
  • Influencing the strengthening of business process and controls through the sharing of best practice.

Candidate Requirements

Preferred Education & Experience:
•    Graduate in Accounting, Finance, Psychology, Sociology or Criminology or a qualified accountant such as CPA, CA, CMA or ACCA
•    Certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CFE will be an added advantage 
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3 years of accounting, finance, external or internal audit experience
•    Some line responsibility or project management experience
•    Knowledge of Arabic is preferable

Technical Knowledge

•    Proficient with recognized standards such as International Professional Practices and Competency Framework for Internal Audit Activity, COSO, COBIT, etc.
•    Internal Control theory and practice
•    Risk assessment methodologies and mitigation techniques
•    COBIT and other Computer Audit methodologies

Purpose and Scope of the Job

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Analyst will plan, coordinate, prepare and assist in the execution of those processes or financial projects for the hospitals that relate to the development and execution of the operating and capital budgets, month end reporting, yearend reporting, and costing and pricing of services in the hospital. The Financial Analyst will prepare financial analysis utilizing spreadsheets and database management concepts.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Prepare budgetary documents, reports, and recommendations.
Support the budget and forecast process, reports and analysis.
Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
Compares actual costs to estimates and analyzes variances.
Analyzes actual costs and prepares periodic reports comparing budget costs to actual.
Prepare the costing of the packages & services.
Maintain the codes & prices of the services in the system.
Compare prices with the actual costs & suggest the improvements.
Co-ordinate with the doctors for pricing the services.
Prepare the profitability of departments in the hospital.
Determining the validity of business cases by analyzing and validating all financial components, with respect to such things as free cash flow, risk analysis and net present value.
Providing accessible, accurate, reliable, relevant data and benchmarking information.
Assisting in the development of new decision support systems for internal management reporting and control purposes, budgeting and strategic planning.
Preparing financial analysis utilizing financial tools, budgets, forecasts, spreadsheets and database management concepts.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed (occupational and patient safety).
Provides and promotes people centered care.
Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
 

Qualifications, Competences and Skills

Education: Preferably with Master Degree in Cost Accounting in addition to Bachelor’s degree in related to Accounts/Commerce.

Experience: At least 5 yrs. of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

Licensure: Not Applicable

Language: Well versed in Arabic and English languages – to read and to write; Computer literacy – highly skilled in the use of spreadsheets and word processing packages.

Computer Proficiency: Good Computer skills

 

Performance Competencies

Proficiency in a Microsoft environment (specifically spreadsheet, word processing applications and database applications) is required.
Analytical, organizational and time-management skills in order to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and superior interpersonal skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, patients, physicians and/or external agencies.

Responsibilities
The Vertical Apps Release and Support Manager is part of Software Management Services group responsible for the centralized execution of Desktop platform and software upgrades for Citi’s 500,000 end points. Vertical apps release management and support functions include the management of upgrade tasks for software applications used by line of businesses and their rollout in the production environment such as physical desktops, cloud, cloud plus and RDSH servers.  Release management means keeping the Desktop environment safe and sound and ensure that applications, software and operating systems are kept current at all time. Because of the size of the Citi desktop environment, the diverse hardware types and the large number of software applications in use across the firm, Development and Release Management both require careful planning across multiple line of business as well as countries around the world.  

The functions in scope are: 1) Release planning which is performed by release managers 2) Investigation and Remediation of anomalies 3) Level 2 SCCM/Intune and Desktop Support.  These functions all report into the Vertical Release Management Head.  Combined, the team provide the automation, execution, monitoring and troubleshooting of any type of Vertical release. The role of the Team manager is to provide technical leadership and to own the release plans and execute their implementation in a silent and timely manner.

A successful candidate will

Manage a virtual and global team made up of approx.  35 staff including 3rd party engineers
Balance risk, whilst driving the Release and Support team to meet expected saturation and penetration metrics
Identify and leverage opportunities for continuous process and performance improvement through workflow changes, automation, and resource allocation
Work closely with internal and third-party partners to ensure that upgrades and migrations are completed on time and that the necessary tools and infrastructure required to automate migration are available.
Address client escalations and/or proactively address potential client concerns
Work closely with senior management to align Global Software Management Services with tactical and strategic objectives
Lead and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and direct instruction
Skillset Requirements

10 years’ experience in an Enterprise environment
10 years’ experience with Level 2/3 support of a large (100K+) Microsoft Windows environment
5 years’ experience working with Microsoft SCCM
Thorough understanding of ITIL best practices in relation to incident, change and deployment management.
Working knowledge of scripting, SQL Server, web technologies
Intune/Azure experience
Ability to manage and coordinate tasks in multiple regions and across time zones
Excellent written and verbal communications
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in IT / Computer management  
10 years multi-disciplinary IT experience
10 years managerial experience
ITIL Certification
Experience managing multiple staff across various functional roles and locations
Experience hiring, developing, and retaining highly skilled teams
