 An AC/Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and installations in good working condition by carrying out necessary repairs and preventive maintenance

 


What will I be doing?

 

 

 

As an AC/Refrigeration Technician, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: - Reports to the A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman regarding daily work progress and trouble report completion.

 

 

  • Attains all refrigeration and A/C trouble reports on daily basis. Guest room trouble is given priority
  • Works closely with A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance program
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructions
  • Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Able to read Building, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical drawings
  • Able to fault find and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration and building control systems. Good electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge of BMS systems. - Experience of reciprocating Chillers and Air handling plant and cold rooms
  • Familiar with planned Preventive Maintenance and Safety programmes
  • Flexible and team player – able to work on own initiative
  • Good understanding of water treatment techniques and able to handle chemicals
  • Makes periodic inspection tours to check all refrigeration equipment functioning properly
  • Carries out guest room maintenance according to schedule programme
  • Works closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when required, including functions and parties
  • Daily refrigeration log sheet to be filled and temperature to be recorded
  • Works closely with peers to assist in their job when requested by supervisor
  • Keeps all necessary tools in good working condition, keep their working place neat and clean
  • Attains all departmental meetings and training classes

  • Minimum 5 years air-conditioning or refrigeration installation or maintenance experience in Industrial/Commercial Projects
  • Good all round practical trade skills inclusive fabrication, installation and maintenance
  • Preferable apprentice time service candidate

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Hotels-Hospitals experience

Function

The purpose of the Electrical Engineer is to guarantee the compliance from the Contractor within the following subjects:

  • The Scope of Work
  • The Aramco and International applicable standards
  • The Quality of the Engineering Design
  • Optimization of Electrical Project Design to optimize the Operational cost & Maintenance cost
  • The Appropriate equipment manufacturing
  • The Project Engineering and Purchasing Schedule
  • Review design packages for electrical systems and equipment (i.e. Power & Distribution Transformers, motors, generators, High voltage/low voltage switchgear/Motor Control Center (MCC), distribution network, control equipment, power outlets etc.)including drawings, datasheets, detail scope of work, calculations, Bill of Material / Quantity and preliminary cost estimates, Hazardous Area Classification and System Study.
  • Prepare the Project Design Basis Document as per the project scope.
  • Prepare the entire project load lists based on the project scope.
  • Produce technical reports for the scope of work, and technical specifications for specific electrical equipment which are not mentioned in Saudi Aramco Engineering Standard (SAES) and Saudi Aramco Material Specification (SAMSS).
  • Manage the electrical activities of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors during the Front End Engineering Development (FEED) and design phase.
  • Coordinate with Project managers to finalize the Electrical Engineering scope for the entire project / package.
  • Carry out analysis of major equipment selected in the design package.
  • Review and respond to technical and site queries.
  • Support and attend the equipment “Factory Acceptance Tests” (FAT).
  • Experience in project execution in accordance with Saudi Aramco and World Wide industrial standards.
  • Monitor and review in coordination with Saudi Aramco PMT the performance and work quality of the contractor.
  • Ensure that the design work by contractor is in accordance with Aramco design standards (SAES, SAMSS), applicable codes/regulations, and acceptable work practice.
  • Assist the Project Managers and Project Engineers in evaluating Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and Award Recommendation (AR) provided by Contractor and able to perform Procurement support.
  • Review and evaluate Change Orders to ensure full compliance with standards and that costs are in line with project budget.
  • Work closely with Engineering Teams during the project to ensure facility integrity in terms of HSE.
  • Provide technical assurance for electrical discipline deliverables for projects.
  • Prepare approvals of the electrical engineering packages prior to being issued for construction.
  • Lead and recommend new improvement solutions for installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standards.

Requirements

  • 10 -15 years of experience in design, engineering and construction (Aramco experience is preferable)
  • Bachelor’s degree within the Electrical Engineering field or a BA in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering
  • Certified Engineer desirable
  • Engineer must be familiar with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC and other International electrical standards, best practices and value practices
  • Be fully familiar with analogue and Digital Control Systems including Power System Automation (PSA), DCS, PLC and SCADA controls
  • Thorough knowledge of the English language is required to perform the necessary analysis and studies in depth, make professional presentations and keep up with technical advancements
  • Have experience with Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) or similar software and all Microsoft office.

Key accountabilities

The Environmental Manager will primarily be responsible for establishing, monitoring and reporting against the project’s Environmental Execution Plan in accordance with Policies, Governance Framework, Environmental and Sustainability procedures and other requirements. Develop mitigation and crisis management plans to be implemented in the event of an environmental incident, and successfully work with other departments and sectors to develop effective environmental strategies that reduce risk of pollutants and contamination. Review and propose amendments to existing environmental Policies, Plans, Standards and requirements in line with global trends and standards as well as Project Department drivers in accordance with the project’s vision. Conduct regular inspections of delivery performance against established KPI’s. Lead strategic environmental audits to monitor emissions, contamination and pollutants in areas of development and construction and thereby propose regulations and policies to manage the control of pollution and integrate waste treatment and recycling measures.

1. DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

  • Under direct supervision, assist with management of support vessel, movements of offshore personnel, loadouts of equipment/line pipes, mobilisation/demobilization of vessel, liase with subcontractors for specific tasks/activities, etc..
  • Must be open to work offshore on installation/construction vessel to learn on the job.
  • Available for short to medium missions to varios fabrication sites in KSA and in ME/India as required by relevant projects.
  • Make effort to become aware of all relevant safety procedures and legal requirements for working on a Subsea 7 project
  • Participate in meetings with Clients, subcontractors, 3rd parties, etc. in a junior capacity as and when required.
  • Be familiar and implement recommendations and best practices as per S7 QHSE plans and procedures

  • Ability to function within a operations team.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or cost.
  • Can work within time/budget constraints
