What We’re Looking For

    Previous experience as a Rooms Controller is advantageous.
    Computer literacy, with a mastery of Word, Excel, and Outlook, while possessing an exceptional knowledge of Hotel PMS, specifically Opera.
    A hands-on attitude, fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.
    Exceptional skills in Improving Customer Satisfaction, showcasing a commitment to Industry-Leading Standards.
    'FIVE-Styled’ Visionary thinking by finding creative solutions, while taking Ownership for all duties and tasks assigned.
    Sensational Teamwork and Collaboration skills to work effectively within a group and across departments with Fellow ‘FIVERs.’
    Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English (Additional languages are a Plus).
    Strong understanding of Industry Regulations is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

    Extends a Warm Welcome to all guests in true ‘FIVE-Style.’
    Anticipates and addresses Guests’ needs proactively, assisting individuals with disabilities with sensitivity.
    Assigns rooms according to Guest Preferences and Requests, offering a bespoke, tailored Guest Experience.
    Pre-registers Designated Guests and prepares personalised Key Packets.
    Organises and orchestrates seamless check-in and pre-registration procedures for Arriving Groups.
    Reviews, tracks, and accommodates requests for Room Changes or Check-Out Adjustments, communicating status updates to the appropriate staff. Confirms Reservations and manages Cancellations efficiently.
    Reviews out-of-order rooms daily to help maintain FIVE’s industry-leading reputation.
    Ensures rates align with Market Codes and carefully documents exceptions.
    Verifies and adjusts Billing for Guests, and meticulously Files Guest Paperwork or Documentation.
    Sets up and processes all Guest check-ins and check-outs, activating Room Keys and ensuring Secure Payments.
    Identifies and resolves any over-commitments, conducting thorough Duplicate Reservation Checks and blocking rooms for a hassle-free guest experience.
    Runs Daily Reports to maintain a Boundary-Breaking level of service.
    Follows up with Guests to ensure their Requests or Concerns have been met to their complete satisfaction, demonstrating a commitment to a ‘FIVE-Star’ Guest Experience.
    Receives, records, and relays messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
    Adheres strictly to all company Policies and Procedures, maintaining a clean and professional ‘FIVE-Styled’ Uniform and Appearance.
    Upholds the highest level of confidentiality for Proprietary Information and safeguards Company Assets.
    Communicates using Clear and Professional Language, preparing and reviewing Written Documents with accuracy and completeness.
    Answers telephones with First-in-Class Industry Etiquette.

Background

Emirates Nature is a UAE environmental non-governmental charity, established in 2001 under the Honorary Founder and President H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed’s vision for the United Arab Emirates. HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the Ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of Environmental Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) Board of Directors.

We operate with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah and are governed by a local board of directors. Emirates Nature works in association with WWF, one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations. Emirates Nature-WWF has been active in the UAE for two decades and is renowned for its commitment to biodiversity conservation, habitat protection, sustainable development, and community engagement.

Some of our flagship projects include marine conservation initiatives to protect coral reefs and marine species, wildlife conservation programs focusing on endangered species such as Arabian oryx and sea turtles, habitat restoration projects in critical ecosystems, and sustainable development initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change impacts and promoting eco-friendly practices across various sectors.

It is our organizational objective to ensure a high performing workforce within our offices with highly efficient, skilled members all of whom will be unilaterally focused on supporting and delivering conservation activities to our stakeholders within the UAE.
Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Compliance Officer who also holds responsibilities as an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Finance Terrorism (CFT) Specialist. The ideal candidate must bring a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the INGO sector, with particular expertise in AML and CFT regulations. You will play a critical role in ensuring our organization’s activities adhere to both local regulations and international standards, protecting the organization from potential (financial) crime risks and ensuring robust governance and compliance frameworks.
Major Duties and Key Responsibilities

AML Compliance Duties:

    Perform Vendor Due Diligence (VDD)/ Know Your Client (KYC) assessments, Risk Assessments, Monitoring, and Reporting to ensure full compliance with AML and CFT regulations, in line with the current legislation in force in the UAE, and any amendments thereof.
    Implement and maintain automated systems to streamline compliance processes and improve vendor and donor selection.
    Conduct screening for PEPs, Sanctions, and Adverse Media using industry-standard sources, ensuring suspicious transactions are escalated to the relevant competent authorities of the UAE.
    Screen potential donors for suspected green-washing activities, escalating concerns to the relevant department(s).
    Implement and create a robust anti-corruption policy to meet international best practices (this should include a section on gifts and anti-bribery) along with their standard operating procedures.
    Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure effective compliance processes and risk mitigation strategies are in place.

General Compliance Responsibilities:

    Develop, implement, and review high-level compliance policies and procedures across the organization, ensuring alignment with both international best practice and current applicable local legislations and regulations, including those related to financial transparency.
    Monitor compliance with applicable UAE laws, regulations, and internal policies, advising the Management Team on necessary updates and modifications to compliance frameworks.
    Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and ensure the organization’s risk management of international best practices meets regulatory standards.
    Coordinate compliance training programs for staff to promote awareness of regulatory requirements and organizational compliance policies.
    Act as the organization’s point of contact for regulatory bodies, managing relationships with relevant authorities and ensuring timely submissions of compliance reports.
    Assist with the development of corrective action plans when compliance issues are identified and ensure their timely implementation across the organization.
    Provide guidance to the Management Team and other internal stakeholders on regulatory and compliance matters, including those related to potential green-washing, and the interpretation of regulations that impact the organization.

Required Qualifications

Education:

    Minimum Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, finance, or a related field. Master’s degree in law (LL.M.), business administration (MBA), or a specialized compliance-related qualification is a plus.

Certification:

    Certification in at least two of the following professional accreditations:
        International Compliance Association (ICA)
        Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
        Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
        Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
        ISO 19600 certification

Experience:

    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk management, or audit functions within a non-profit organization.
    Fluency in Arabic and English.
    Demonstrated experience with client due diligence, risk assessments, and the preparation of compliance reports.
    Proven knowledge and/or experience in the non-profit sector, preferably within environmental non-profit organizations.

Skills Required

    Strong analytical skills to assess risk and regulatory changes.
    Attention to detail when assessing compliance requirements and internal audits.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Strong oral and written communication for reporting and policy explanation.
    Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.
    Strong communication skills.
    Good knowledge of MS Office.
    Able to take initiative and prioritize among competing demands.
    High level of cultural sensitivity and awareness with the ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.

Aircraft Scheduling Officer - Engineering Planning, Emirates Group, Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose:

To supervise and administer the functional processes within the Aircraft Scheduling department to ensure effective and efficient Planning of aircraft to meet operational schedule and ensure optimum utilisation of aircraft and available resources in the application of schedule and unscheduled maintenance allocation.

Job Outline:

    Attend daily morning Engineering briefing meeting with Line and Base Maintenance, Quality Assurance, MCC, Development, Materials and Vendor Engineers/ managers/ representatives to assist with the availability of maintenance opportunities within the aircraft allocation schedule. In the case of critical operational eventualities (e.g. urgent/ time limited maintenance requirements, AOG) provide assistance and suggestions in conjunction with the Scheduling Controller on duty.
    Assist within Engineering Planning for communication with internal and external parties such as Maintenance Sections, flight Operation, Crew Training, Corporate Communications, DNATA, Lessors, vendor representatives, third party maintenance agencies for allocation and coordination of necessary activities/ maintenance requirements/ aircraft ground time.
    Provide feedback to Commercial Planning to accommodate Engineering requirements within the Operating Plan.
    Review Daily Aircraft Allocation and Quarterly Maintenance Plan prepared by the Scheduling Controlers to ensure optimum utilisation of maintenance check frequencies, compliance with legal limitations, proper staggering of maintenance inputs, inclusion of all relative aircraft registrations and accurate and error free information prior to dissemination within the Emirates network.
    Liaise with Commercial Departments for inclusion of additional flight requirements into the operating plan to facilitate revenue optimisation without compromising maintenance ground time availability for multiple fleet aircraft types / sub types and operational conflicts.
    Assist in the preparation of medium (2 years) and long term (5 years) Heavy Maintenance Plans and Special Project Plans (e.g. major modifications, Landing Gear overall, aircraft painting) in conjunction with and as advised by Scheduling Manager, Planning Engineer, Manager Operational Planning to ensure long term maintenance requirements are catered for and established, check intervals are optimised and check limitations are met.
    Prepare and distribute reports to various sections within Engineering on Fleet Operational details in terms checks forecasted, average Aircraft Daily Utilisation for Flight Hour, Cycles and Ratios required to support their long term forecasting and planning activities including preparation of Aircraft Weighing plans and status report.
    Supervise and train other scheduling staff to facilitate knowledge dissemination and skill improvements and provide ongoing update to subordinate personnel based on fleet and destination developments ensuring elimination of inefficient methods and implementation of departmental improvements and system changes.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications:

    12 Years schooling or equivalent.

Experience:

    Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering Planning.
    Experience in Manpower planning, project management or resource planning 5+ Years.
    Experience in a Planning or Project Management environment would be advantageous.

Knowledge/skills:

    A basic understanding of aircraft documentation including AMM, IPC, Work Packages and Maintenance Schedules would be useful but not essential.
    Sound knowledge of Computer Applications (e.g. MS Office).
    Knowledge of Ultramain, AMES or Movement Control Systems (e.g. CORE) is an advantage.
