Information Security GRC Specialist

Core Purpose of the Job:
Join Almarai as an Information Security GRC Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role as a subject matter expert in identifying information security risks and exploring risk management options. You will drive our information security programs, initiatives, and projects, while assisting in the establishment, management, and operation of our Information Security Policy, Risk Management, and Governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

    Contribute to the identification and assessment of information security risks.
    Provide operational support and subject matter expertise in information security governance.
    Drive the implementation of security initiatives and projects across the organization.

Academic / Professional Qualifications:

    Qualified or Certified CISSP / CISM; Security+ Certification.
    Undergraduate degree in IT, Cyber Security, or Information Security.
    Certified ISO27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor.

Candidates without the following will not be considered

    Minimum of 4.5 years in an Information Security GRC role.
    At least 2 years in a mid-level leadership, advisory, or senior analyst position.
    2.5 years managing an ISO27001-based Information Security Program (ISO27001 LA/LI certification preferred).
    2 years of experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) or other governance frameworks such as NCA ECC.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our Kuwait office, with a strong focus on tender and bidding support. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing procurement activities, optimizing vendor relationships, and supporting the organization in tender participation. If you have expertise in procurement management, a keen understanding of tendering processes, and a proactive approach to vendor management, we’d like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management: Execute procurement activities in line with company policies and industry standards, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
Tendering: Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and assist in the tendering process, ensuring comprehensive and competitive bids.
Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors. Evaluate vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contracts and high service levels.
Supplier Development: Identify and develop new supply sources. Collaborate with technical teams to assess and qualify potential suppliers, ensuring they meet our business requirements and strategic goals.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement processes adhere to legal and internal compliance standards, reducing risks and optimizing procurement performance.
Contract Management: Support contract drafting, review, and management. Ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations by vendors and address any issues that arise.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, vendor performance, and procurement metrics to inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in procurement and vendor management, preferably in the GCC region.
Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to secure cost savings.
In-depth understanding of procurement processes, compliance requirements, and market trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Qatar import documentation requirements
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project Access and Visio.

Primary objective

To implement KOC PMC Safety policies, HSE Management System and Project specific HSE Management Plans as they apply to the project. Ensure that the site complies with the relevant HSE Legislation and KOC HSE requirements.
Implement the project HSE MS.
Maintain Statistical data for the Project.
Prepare reports as required for the Worley KOC PMC HSEQ Manager.

Specific Accountabilities

Provide advice and assistance to EPC HSE managers so they comply in a consistent way to reduce the risk to the project employees and the environment.
Provide advice and guidance to the EPC contractor management team on HSE issues through the interpretation of KOC policies and statutory requirements.
Ensure EPC contractors establish and maintain statistical data concerning all matters of health and safety, training programs with which to provide a basis for development of further health and safety activities, to highlight trends for future action.
Review EPC contractor Safety Management System and advise of required changes
Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies and EPC contractor to foster the professional image of Worley.
Visit the project site on a regular basis to ensure interest and awareness of HSE is maintained, conduct regular safety talks and safety training sessions relative to the nature of activities being undertaken.

Other key activities shall include but not be limited to the following:

Pro-actively visit site and with the EPC contractor implement safety measures-promote/ensure safe work practices
Ensure quality safety observation program is implemented and maintained on each site/project and ensure follow up on findings
Assist EPC contractor construction management personnel in identifying hazards and in planning and organising the work such that a safe working environment is maintained.
Assist EPC sub contractor Safety advisors and site management in the development and revision of specific site safety programmes.
Maintain a HS&E audit and assessment program for the location.
Carry out regular inspections of the work areas with the respective EPC contractor line manager and or HSE representative and prepare reports.
Disseminate safety information throughout the workplace via bulletin boards, posters, newsletters etc.
Assist EPC contractor line management and or construction supervisors in accident investigation process and report accordingly.
Develop and implement safety initiatives to continually improve, achieve and maintain stated safety performance and objectives.
Ensure HSE safety inductions are undertaken in accordance with the EPC contractor SMS requirements for all new employees of the company and its subcontractors
Monitor the availability and use of safety apparel and equipment.
Provide advice to the EPC subcontractor supervision on the development of project specific procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) training,
Advise subcontractor supervisory staff and employees in the implementation of strategies to identify and control potential hazards and in the use of the hierarchy of controls
Ensure all lines of communication on HSE-matters remain open and effective between all parties particularly KOC, Worley, EPC contractors and their sub contractors.
Accountable for identification and control of HSE issues on construction sites -Practical experience in identification and control of HSE issues on construction sites within Oil & Gas or similar industries.
Experience in HSE reporting procedures and familiar with the safety hazards with common construction activities.
Must have successfully completed one or more certified HSE courses in any category of training in General Industrial Safety, Construction safety, Environmental Management, ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent.

Mandatory Requirements:

Diploma in Engineering or HSE related Diploma
Minimum years in post qualification experience
Minimum relevant years of experience in Oil & Gas post qualification experience
Minimum relevant years of experience in a Safety supervisor role
Practical experience in identification and control of HSE issues on construction sites within Oil & Gas or similar industries
Experience in HSE reporting procedures and familiar with the safety hazards with common construction activities
