Overview of the role:

The Optometrist diagnoses and treats visual system diseases and disorders by assessing patient's condition, establishing diagnoses, developing treatment plans, treating patients, and maintaining records

 

What you will do:

    Assesses patient's condition by examining the internal and external structure of the eyes and eye health, testing patient's visual acuity, depth and color perception, and ability to focus and coordinate the eye.
    Treats patients by explaining condition and treatment to patient, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, providing vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation.

    Maintains patient confidence by keeping information confidential.
    Maintains safe, septic, and healthy working environment by complying with procedure, rules and regulation, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
    Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacture instructions, troubleshooting malfunction, calling for repairs.
    Develops staff by providing information, developing and conducting in-service training programs
    Maintains professional knowledge by participating in education opportunities, reading professional publication, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organization.

    Adheres to privacy and confidentiality of proprietary company policies and procedures.
    Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Required skills to be succesful:

    Must have a complete knowledge of the eye and its complementary parts and the function of each part with an ability to do eyes and vision examinations, fix lenses.

What qualifies your for the role:

 

    Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Optometry or graduate in related field

    Holding a valid DHA/MOH/DOH License and/or eligibility as Optometrist

    Minimum 3 years experience as Optometrist or in a similar role.
    Valid Basic Life Support Certification
    Previous experience working with international accreditation i.e. JCIA

Position Overview:
 
This role primarily focuses on managing treasury functions, including fund management, bank administration, and treasury reporting, while also handling essential payroll processing tasks. The position requires maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures and adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Effective collaboration across various departments is essential to address treasury and payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies, contributing to the efficient operation of the financial functions within the organization.
 
Key Responsibilities:

1. Treasury Management:

    Oversee daily fund management, including cash positioning, investments, and liquidity management to optimize financial resources.
    Conduct bank administration tasks such as managing bank account operations, including opening, updating, and closing of accounts.
    Monitor and reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    Prepare and deliver detailed treasury reports, including daily cash flow forecasts and long-term financial projections.

2. Financial Strategies and Compliance:

    Develop strategies to optimize financial operations and enhance profitability.
    Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements related to treasury operations.

3. Payroll Processing:

    Execute accurate processing of payroll for salaries, bonuses, and other compensation components.
    Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
    Address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues in a timely manner.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

    Collaborate with HR, accounting, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial operations and reporting.
    Respond promptly to inquiries from management and external partners related to treasury and payroll matters.

5. Process Improvement:

    Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, particularly in treasury operations, to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    Adopt technological advancements and best practices in financial management.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    Strong experience in treasury and financial management, with knowledge of fund management and bank reconciliation.
    Familiarity with payroll processing and regulatory compliance.
    Proficient in financial software, particularly Oracle Fusion, and other treasury management systems.
    Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Logistics & Fulfilment technologist to join a renowned retail group in the Middle East, working as part of the Group Technology function. The successful candidate will work with the Retail and Supply chain leadership teams to drive digital transformation across our Fulfilment capabilities.

This Business Analyst reports to our Logistics & Fulfilment Technology Leader and is expected to:

    Fully understand Logistics & Fulfilment strategies, expected outcome, deliverables and value that needs to be generated from technology
    Work with the Logistics & Fulfilment Technology Lead (line manager) to shape the future technology and solution roadmap for Logistics & Fulfilment, identifying future potential enhancements to products/platforms that will drive business value
    Support the business to translate business requirements into technology requirements and recommended new capabilities/enhancements to be added to the backlog
    Ensures that Logistics solution requirements are defined, groomed and planned effectively for DevSecOps delivery management
    Actively manages the operational activity of external vendors and delivery partners supporting solution design/build activity
    Manages the on-budget delivery of solution delivery efforts through close tracking of budget and forecast spend, pro-actively recommending opportunities to maximise the ROI of project budgets
    Pro-actively manages and mitigates delivery risks, ensuring prompt escalation and resolution
    Ensures the successful management of the service transition process from project to business-as-usual
    Work in close partnership with services colleagues to ensure that product issues are within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), running costs are within plan, and work collaboratively to continually enhance the product quality and avoid 'technical debt' (outdated technical components)

What You’ll Need To Succeed  

    Degree Educated, with 8-10 years post graduate work experience working with Supply Chain and Logistics related solutions, preferably in a business facing IT/Digital role
    Deep understanding of how Regional and Global Logistics networks operate both for B2B and D2C eCommerce and how technology can support optimization and improvement
    Demonstrated experience in implementing systems such as Transport Visibility, Carrier Management, Transport Management, eCommerce fulfilment solutions
    Experience and appreciation for the Middle East would be preferable but not essential
    Experience delivering and managing complex solutions (multi-platform, multi-technology, 3rd parties) end-to-end (e.g., solution integration, data management and effective cutover and release strategies)
    Experience working with modern integration technologies is preferable (e.g., a good understanding of API design patterns and frameworks, micro services, API gateways, API security etc.)
    Awareness and understanding of Lean-Agile project management and solution development methodologies and frameworks e.g., Dev Ops and SAFe.
    Experience in large regional/global organisations using in-sourced and out-sourced IT service providers
