The General Manager East Europe, Middle East &North Africa & will take P&L responsibility, for building an effective sales pipeline which will result in achieving strategic & financial goal in his or her region.  This position plays a key role in managing the sales and marketing, market access, and supply chain activities plus working closely with Regulatory, Medical and finance through combination of direct and distribution organizations in its respective region. He or she has the duty to assist in identifying and developing the sales and marketing opportunities for existing and new Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx)– Infectious Disease, ID products (ARDx - ID) to eventually grow entire ARDx – ID business by implementing Abbott S&M strategy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading both strategic & all operational commercial activities in the EEMENA region as below:

Develop/shape/Customize/implement/drive the local country/region commercial / marketing strategy to be aligned with ARDx Global & Regional Commercial / Marketing Strategy

Contribute to the strategic direction and business development of the EEMENA business and future ARDx-ID EEMENA business, by providing extensive market intelligence relevant to maximizing the ARDx-ID product portfolio market opportunities in its territory.

Meet established financial goals (Top line & bottom line) and objective while maintaining territory budget.

Track sales results vs projected budget and outcomes objectives.

Develop go to market strategies through direct sales efforts and business partners to accelerate ARDx – ID products and services with business partner in assigned territory

Develop commercial launch plans for NPI

Support distribution partners in the sale of products, including training, sales meeting, technical expertise and marketing support of the ARDx – ID product portfolio.

Rigorous management of ARDx – IDEM distribution partners including goal and target setting, operational and strategy business reviews, and performance management

Identify customer issues and resolves sales related difficulties.

Act as a resource for contract negotiation, pricing, proposal, bid preparation and all customers follow up.

Timely follow up and management of all leads that are distributed in territory

Coordinate and facilitate of each market regulatory requirement & procedures.

Ensure all business activities are conducted professionally, aligned with regulatory and industry guidelines and are conducted in a manner consistent with Abbott’s Code of Conduct guidelines, and Abbott’s Anti-Corruption Policy

Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and procedures.

Maintain key NGO account and key opinion leaders in responsible market

Maintain complete customer master list

RESPONSIBILITY- CONDUCT

Ensure all activities carried out by self are in accordance with legislative employment policies and safety requirements and corporate policy

Promote a standard of excellence for quality and customer focus at Abbott

Comply with Abbott’s policies and procedures

Abide by Abbott Culture & Performance policies.

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENTIAL BACKGROUND

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in medical, Pharma, Biology, Chemistry, Laboratory science or equivalent.

+ 10 years of Sales & Marketing experience in IVD industry (exposed to lateral flow/instrument business desirable)

Proven excellence in both written and oral communication in English and Arabic language for its respective country- French is plus

Post-Graduate qualifications in Marketing or Business required.

Previous experience in EEMENA or part of it is a must.

Solid understanding of the IVD (preferably POC) market in the region.

Our preferences will fall into his or her in-depth work experiences & knowledge skills in Infectious Disease related IVD business which well fit in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Core Business Area.

In country experience managing sales and distribution infrastructure for healthcare products

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Strategic / Technical / Operational

Capable of developing short/medium/long term sales and marketing strategies across diverse customer markets, implement and drive those strategies to success.

Ability to comprehend and conversant with and able to impart highly detailed medical / scientific terminologies and patient outcome concepts.

Capable of monitoring market, customer and competitor trends and advising management on methods to improve company competitiveness in respective markets.

Be able to train and develop distribution channel to establish and maintain the ability to effectively represent ARDx products in the marketplace.

Ability to develop project plans, timelines, and priorities critical programs and elements necessary to achieve the Sales & Marketing objectives by working together with distribution partners in its territories.

Proven ability to work with stakeholders.

People management

Ability to recruit and manage sales, marketing and functional team 

Internal systems and processes

Ability to identify and qualify new commercial portfolio in respective market in aligned with corporate’s overall direction

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, with a variety of internal departments with business partners.

Customers and external stakeholders

Customer service oriented and organized.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, with a variety of internal departments with business partners.

Appreciation and understanding of a culturally diverse organization particularly in relation to building relationships, and establishing a supportive environment

Financial

Ability to analyze and report on the status and success of the given budget

Communication

Strong communication and presentation skills and knowledge various international cultures.

JOB PURPOSE

To work with the English business team and other teams regarding ELT.

ELL Products and Service Knowledge and Development –

To have a general knowledge of all ELL products and services.

To be able to keep everyone in the region up to date on changes and new information for relevant products and services.

To ensure that local strategy on products is aligned with global strategy

To be involved in the development and creation of local product and service options

ELL Products and Service GTM and Launch –

To support GTM strategy for new products and services within their allocated segments.

In line with the GTM strategy, work with sales and marketing to prepare and launch product or service into the market.

Product/Teacher Training and Consultancy –

To keep abreast of methodological/ pedagogical developments in the ELL sector.

To write and provide workshops, papers, seminars and trainings on behalf of Pearson.

To heighten profile of oneself as an educational provider in the ELL sector, either through written or presented products and services, both face to face and digital.

To keep clients up to date with development in methodological / pedagogical practice in the ELL sector.

To provide consultancy services to key accounts.

Supporting Sales on Key account adoption and retention –

To keep fully informed of all products and services that we provide in the ELL sector.

To keep the sales team informed of the above and providing support and training to the rest of Pearson as and when necessary.

To share the Pearson Product/ service knowledge with clients and customers.

To visit clients, identifying their needs and advising relevant Pearson team members of the best products/ services to provide

To provide support in the correct placement of products and services to the sales team

Marketing and Local Customisation support –

To liaise with marketing both local and global with all campaigns related to own segment or which have been assigned

Administrative Duties –

To share all documents and presentations related to the job on one drive and shared with the whole team. To keep said documents and presentations up to date where needs be.

To keep line manager and teams informed (via cc generally) on all major issues and global communication.

Skills and Competencies

Willing to always learn and improve.

Organized and disciplined.

Able to work both as a part of a team and individually,

Strong in interpersonal skills.

Ambitious.

Morally and ethically sound.

Equally comfortable working in both a face to face and digital environment.

General Professional Skills

Excellent English communication skills.

Have a tertiary or above qualification related to English teaching or, at least, related to English and education.

A teaching degree from a university or an internationally recognized English certification is a must.

Must have minimum of 3 years' ELT experience

Able to travel extensively in the region.

Should have a valid UAE driving license

Able to prepare and give consultancy and training in ELT.

Able to manage own time effectively and professionally.

Be Conversant in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Be open to developing further technological expertise.

Fluency in either Turkish or Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

This position will offer you the opportunity to manage project(s) consisting of engineers, designers, controls and scheduling professionals involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing nuclear power plant modifications. The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of project execution. 

 

Responsible for project execution, coordination of resources from each discipline as required.

Take ownership for all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience through entire project lifecycle.

Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability.  Mentor and coach team members.

Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client task engineers and stakeholders.

Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.

Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget and other dashboard items.

Identify and control construction risk.

Recognize, identify, track and control change.

Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors.

Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and Sargent & Lundy formats.

Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.

Qualifications

 Essential skills and experience:

 

BS from an ABET-accredited engineering program

Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams

3 or more years of experience in a technical field (engineering, construction, planning, etc.)

Experience with serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role

Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities is critical to success

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a collaborative team setting

Schedule development and management

Budget management

Valued but not required skills and experience:

Construction management or a management/business degree

Engineering design experience a plus

PMP Certification is a plus.

MBA is a plus

Experience writing proposals is a plus
