We are looking for a Client Manager within Gas Services Middle East Distributed, encompassing Gas Turbines and Compressors services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, growth and maintenance of Siemens Energy Order Entry for selected customer install base within Libya

How You’ll Make an Impact

Position Siemens Energy as the best service provider in the Distributed Generation and Oil & Gas market

Be the front face for Siemens Energy and develop strong relationships with clients, identify business opportunities, enhance market transparency, and increase customer satisfaction

Establish, maintain, and improve on customer contacts, gather, and communicate market intelligence through effective customer relations at all levels of the customers’ organization.

Develop and implement winning sales strategies, have a self-motivated drive to enhance customer satisfaction and to achieve defined sales targets.

Analysing scope of supply and customer contract agreements, carrying out risk analyses, introducing recommendations to prepare for negotiations with Customers and to implement appropriate measures.

Manage sales activities between customers, various Siemens Energy factories (Product Competence Centres), regional hub and local project management, logistics and supply chain teams.

Full responsibility for forecast sales opportunities and revenues accurately using CRM tools (Salesforce.com)

Support digital solutions applicable to rotating equipment.

Co-ordinate internally to support mobilizing field service engineers to Customer sites on ad-hoc or emergency basis and for small minor work scopes as and when required.

Work in line with the Company’s compliance and business conduct guidelines

Identify and implement plans to develop in-country personnel.

What You Bring

Preferable to have relevant sales experience in servicing rotating equipment (gas turbines and compressors), preferably in the oil and gas market.

Degree in Engineering (electrical or mechanical) or equivalent technical studies from an accredited university.

Strong in both written and oral English language to communicate effectively within Siemens Energy organization. Arabic speaking would be an advantage. German speaking would be a plus but not essential.

Demonstrate excellent commercial understanding, possess excellent communications skills, and planning skills and have a confident and flexible approach to their work.

Be open to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and have demonstrated ability to work as a team player.

Prior direct customer interaction experience is required.

Ability to communicate effectively both to external customers and driving sales strategies internally.

JOB TITLE: Preservation Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Preservation Manager is the Petrofac representative at head office who will detail and implement preservation requirements for Project equipment and materials by interfacing with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, Quality & Commissioning teams as well as with Company and Vendors (as required) throughout all phases of the Project.  

During Proposal phase, estimate the preservation manpower, equipment, tools, consumables requirement on site and submit preservation documentation as per ITT requirement.

At pre-ward stage, ensure that Subcontractors are fully aware about preservation scope and requirements so that resources are allocated during execution.

Review the Subcontract responsibility matrix, and ensure it reflects the preservation scope of work related to the Subcontractor.

Develop a detailed Preservation Execution Plan / Procedure for implementation in the Project(s) in line with the Contract and Vendor documentation.

Oversee the implementation of approved Preservation Plan throughout project lifecycle.

Prepare the Preservation team (Preservation Engineers & Technicians) mobilization plan for Project sites.

Oversee that the preservation requirement is adequately covered in all material requisitions, purchase requisitions and purchase orders, and ensure that all suppliers are submitting their recommended packing, preservation and shipping procedures. Review of MR, PR and PO for preservation requirements.

Review and Approve preservation & storage procedures submitted by vendors to ensure all requirements are detailed clearly (such as specific preservation instructions and vendor recommended special preservation consumables, interim storage requirements).

Oversee that critical equipment / packages are packed for seaworthy shipment as per project specifications and “Packing and Marking procedure.

Communicate to the Project Team the specific preservation requirements for site set up (e.g. temperature-controlled warehouse / weatherproof storage area size).

Liaise with Site Managers during execution phase to get full support.

Lead and manage the Preservation team to ensure the Project equipment and material are stored, protected and preserved during warehousing, fabrication, installation & commissioning phase as per approved Preservation Plan.

Ensure all preservation activities are planned, scheduled and recorded in the Preservation database (such as PetroPCS) starting from initial preservation at vendor’s shop floor till handover to Company.

Conduct regular functional assessments/audits on Project(s) to verify the implementation of approved procedures.

Implement previous project learnings and capture lessons learned.

The above is an outline of key duties and accountabilities, rather than an exclusive or exhaustive list of responsibilities. The post holder is expected to undertake any tasks which may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.

The postholder is expected to adhere to the Golden Rules of Safety (transitioning to ‘The 9 Lifesaving Rules in 2020) and the Petrofac Values.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

12+ years of experience in direct hire construction with an international E&C company including at least 5+ years site experience in the oil & gas industry handling preservation.

Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Experience in management of preservation of project equipment and materials.

Excellent leadership and communications skills.

Has knowledge and experience to independently perform, solve complex issues and provide guidance.

JOB TITLE: SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Lead a team of engineers and designers in carrying out electrical detailed engineering works and provide necessary technical information for procurement in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules.

·         Review the ITB (Invitation To Bid) documents submitted in the proposals stage, issue inquiry requisitions, review techno-commercial vendor offers, prepare equipment, material and man-hour estimates.

·         Review contract requirements for project execution, organize the preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR), identify requirements and scope of work; review specifications and Data Sheets, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Plot plans, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Review Philosophies, Area Classification Drawings and other relevant documents. Establish contract review criteria, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal through the instigation of technical queries to projects/client.

·         Verify scope of work, budgeted man hours, budgeted quantities, total of deliverables, format of delivery, time schedules and other specifications for execution of the work. Monitor man-hour costs and team schedules. Recommend cost effective measures to reduce the overall package costs.

·         Apportion work among engineering staff according to specialized training, supervise the preparation of equipment and cable layouts, lighting layouts, earthing and lightning protection layouts, cable schedules, bill of quantities, work estimations etc.

·         Organize the preparation of equipment and material specifications and data sheets, administer the development of detailed engineering calculations and drawings including the preparation of Load List/schedule Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Cable Schedules and Cable Drum Schedules, Interconnection Schedules, Hazardous Area Classification, Equipment Lay-outs, Cable Routing and Lay-out Drawings, Cable Trench/Tray Lay-out Drawings, Lighting System Lay-out and Details, Earthing/Lighting System Lay-out and Details, Heat Tracing Lay-out and Details, Installation Standard Drawings, Relay Coordination Drawings and other required documents.

·         Supervise the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.

·         Direct and provide guidance in the preparation and evaluation of plot plans, organize the issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC’s) coordinate with other engineering discipline in the integration of technical data inputs.

·         Coordinate the preparation of Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials. Ensure materials are obtained within scheduled timeframes and budgeted costs.

·         Direct and monitor Material Take Off (MTO) activities, identify irregularities and shortfalls, take corrective action as required.

·         Interface and regularly meet with client and vendor representatives, conduct internal staff meetings, ensure the progress of project in accordance to schedule, allotted man hours and budgeted costs. Coordinate with projects and planning departments on schedule related issues. Update TDR progress reports through the use of PETROCEPT software.

·         Participate in HAZOP meetings with the client and representatives of the other engineering disciplines.

·         Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues, strictly ensure compliance with Company’s ISO Quality procedures. Coordinate Internal and Client audit requests, facilitate audit procedures of engineering systems within the department.

·         Assumes the responsibilities of the Principal Engineer during absence.

·         Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.

·         Acts as the main interface in converting the project from concept to detailed engineering. Works within Project Budget requirements. Oversee/Prepare the Technical evaluations and verification with contract specifications; act as a tie-in between the various disciplines for engineering inputs for the department.

·         Coordinates and assigns work as per project specifications and cost of equipment which are outside budget cost. Work is normally reviewed by the supervisor.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of related petrochemical experience preferable from a background in working for consultancy organizations in the EPC. Minimum 5 years of experience shall be Oil and Gas Industry.
