JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview:
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in all facets of Quality Management (Business Planning, Budgeting, Quality Improvement Initiatives, Performance Quality and continuous improvement).
Demonstrate knowledge & experience in the Quality techniques for improvement that addresses prevention, problem solving, root cause analysis (RCA), quality training, performance metrics, objectives & targets, goal setting.
Directly responsible for verifying product quality and performance quality at all stages of the project for pipeline projects in PPG facility and offshore (PPG).
Liaise with PPG NDT Manager, Project Manager / Director, PMT Functional Managers, Operations Managers (Fab/Marine), Lead Engineers, QAQC Functional leads, Certification Supervisor, Certifying Authority, Subcontractors, Client and supervise Senior Quality Inspectors, Quality Inspectors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Review/ Support of Tender Documents and coordinating with Quality Bid Manager to submit both technical and commercial inputs for PPG.
Reviews contract scope of work, specification, Project Execution Plan, accepted clarifications / qualifications, Past projects Lessons Learned and identify unique requirements or special processes on the project which requires effective control.
Initiate and liaise with Project Quality Manager on Quality Planning for the project to assure compliance to all contractual requirements through proactive and preventive measures for pipelines.
Responsible for QA/QC Quality Team setup and ensure that adequate, competent resources are available to meet project requirements during pipeline project execution.
Conduct internal quality kick off meeting(s)and quality awareness to ensure project quality requirements are effectively communicated across all disciplines in the PMT and Operations groups.
Attend weekly Project meetings (internal & external), coordination with client on all Quality matters and resolving Quality issues on project related to pipelines.
Actively contribute to the continual improvement process based on trends emerging from audits, Performance Quality data and Root Cause Analysis findings.
Directly participates in the pipeline qualifications & welder qualifications of the Project to assure product quality.
Initiate and issue procedures / Inspection and Test plans for pipelines necessary to achieve the product quality.
Ensure implementation of the Project Quality Plan and procedures during pipeline qualification / Installation phase.
Liaise with the TPI / Certifying Authority on Construction / Installation related documents to seek verification, assessment, and appraisal.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely resources are allocated towards seamless operations.
Analyze the quality non-compliance occurred and ensure implementation of corrective actions to avoid occurrence or recurrence throughout the project
Upload Quality related 'lessons-learned' in Intelex LL module throughout the Qualification / Installation stages of the project.
Conduct Readiness Review meetings with Projects and Operations personnel.
Investigating root causes of quality issues and propose solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor/ Diploma in Engineering
Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgical, NDT, Quality or equivalent.
15+ years in Offshore & Marine Construction, Project Management, QA/QC experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
Lead Assessor and Project Management
Quality Management certifications
Project / Area / Regional Specifics:
Global PPG support as QA/QC Manager.
