About the role
Far and Beyond are looking for a Finance & Office Coordinator to join its dynamic and vibrant team in Dubai. We are a growing event producing business who work with event owners internationally and nationally. In recent years the company has specialised in working in the Middle East specifically Dubai and Saudi Arabia - a territory we are now expanding into, opening a brand new office in Dubai.
This position is a great opportunity for someone who is financially astute with a good knowledge of GCC finance practices and laws, who is comfortable with processes and budgeting and able to work independently and be the first point of contact for Far and Beyond in the Dubai office.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Processing payments, invoices, income & receipts and entering data into accounting software.
Managing accounts payable and receivables for Dubai and UK entities.
Managing project spend & cost manager and reconciling recharges & month spend.
Group bank reconciliation.
Cash float management and reconciliation.
Delivering on client statement of accounts & credit control reporting.
Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Head of Finance of errors.
Assisting Managing Director and Head of Finance in event costings and working with Finance Assistant to reconcile client recharges.
Maintaining company contracts including Staff Contracts and Event Service Agreements.
Recording any inconsistencies to help reconcile inaccuracies.
Delivering on month end closes, including reconciling accounts and post correcting journals.
Delivering reports to board members on a monthly basis.
Liaising with external accountants to deliver year end and tax reporting.
Preparing employee wages (payroll) and processing expense claims.
Liaising with the Head of Finance with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts and ensuring the company statutory correspondence is compliant.
Tax processing and reports including Corporation Tax and VAT returns.
Liaising with insurance brokers on all business insurance including, Employers Public and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Administering pension scheme/ WPS and medical insurance for employees.
HR administration, including staff onboarding, visa and relocation support.
Management of Dubai office, including being the main liaison for all office suppliers and contractors.
About you
ESSENTIAL
International accounting qualifications and/ or previous experience in an in-house finance role.
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in all areas of finance management.
Strong administrative skills and an aptitude for using IT software.
Commercial awareness.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisation and time management.
The ability to take initiative.
A flexible and practical approach to work.
Discretion and diplomacy.
DESIRABLE
Knowledge of current GCC finance laws, and regulations, in particular VAT returns.
SALARY
Circa, AED 11,000 a month. Depending on experience.
CONTRACT TYPE
Full time, one year fixed term contract (with the possibility to extend)
START DATE:
1st September 2023.
LOCATION:
Dubai Office.
INCLUDED IN THE ROLE
Holiday allowance: 22 days, in line with Local UAE Labour Laws (public holidays not included)
All flights that are project related will be covered by Far and Beyond
Sponsored residency visa (whilst in employment with Far and Beyond)
Health insurance for employee whilst residing in Dubai
Days in lieu are given for National Holidays worked where the employee is not offered an alternative midweek day off
£15/ 65 AED contribution towards phone bill each month (when working abroad, foreign sim card will be provided, costs covered by company)
Far and Beyond to arrange all working visas as required
All equipment provided as required
Company bonus (based on company performance)
