Planning Engineer, Gauri Travels, Qatar

Job Responsibilities:

Developing detailed project schedules with cost loading and ensure consistency with contract documents (Conditions of Contract, Specifications, Bill of Quantities, Drawings, ...)

Identifying the major milestones, critical approvals and long lead procurement items

Analysing gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concerns which required action of the associate task member.

Coordinating with the concerned departments to ensure all the outlined deadlines for project phases (Engineering, Procurement, Production and Installation) will be met as per the project plan.

Support the decision-making process by providing all necessary information required to highlight any potential problem in advance to start an immediate corrective action.

Analysing the overall project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) and Key Performance Indexes (KPI's) by investigating the schedule. Also forecast possible shortcomings and identify key lessons learned.

Consolidating all project reports and preparing executive progress reports for management

Assist the management during the contract changes/claims process by providing the impact evaluation on Schedule Extension of Time (EOT) and cost implications.

 

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering

 

Skill Required:

Excellent English communication Skills & interpersonal skills

Advanced Skills on MS-Office & report writing skills and Primavera

Strong analytical & problem solving skills

Attention to details

Knowledge of Project Management and planning tools such as MS excel, MS

 

Project, Primavera

Strong organization skills and an ability to work within a team environment

Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations

Job Description

About The Role:

Job purpose:

Support Engineer / senior engineers

Electrical Design for Onshore/ offshore oil and gas facilities.

Performing Design Calculations.

Developing study reports.

Reviewing vendor documents.

Profile:

Must have:

- Electrical Engineering Degree 1 year of experience in Design and execution of the projects

-ETAP power system study 

- Gathering design inputs based on field surveys before proceeding with engineering.

Main Accountabilities:

Electrical Design experience in Oil & Gas industries

Design for cable tray / earthing / lighting systems.

Design and knowledge of ESP Surface Equipment like VDS / Output Transformers / MVD / MV or LV Switchboards / UPS system, etc.

Communication / coordination with Engineers 

Ensures timely internal and external reporting on engineering.

The team you’ll be part of

 

The Customer Experience organization provides a common interface to customers including account and relationship management, acting as the voice of the customer internally and creating demand across our business groups. While bringing deep understanding of local markets for our customer, the CX organization ensures strong alignment between sales and delivery teams.

 

The Account manager is expected to be Sales Professional with technical and business understanding of telecoms solutions, responsible for generating orders and revenues by selling Nokia’s solutions to customers. 

 

What you will learn and contribute to

 

As part of our team, you will:

Acts as a main contact point for Ooredoo Qatar.

Understands customers' strategic direction and associated business plans

Implements Nokia's account strategy.

Identifies, develops & wins new sales opportunities for Nokia

Sales and marketing support with wide technical system level expertise and deep business understanding.

Expert in selling/marketing and system solutions knowledge. Contributing to relationship management.

Creating long-term business development plans and positioning of technology strategy, solutions and products to match with customer needs.

Develops understanding of customers' key business drivers and uses this knowledge for creating profitable business opportunities and growth in market share for Nokia

Fulfills Nokia's process for presales offer lifecycle management and quarterly forecast

Proactively identifies, develops & wins Nokia business in line with Nokia growth and profitability targets; and grow market share.

 

 

Your skills and experience

 

You have:

Around 10 years relevant experience with a proven track record on sales/presales within the Telecommunication & related services industry

Excellent grasp of the current conditions and business dynamics of the local market/industry including but not limited to competitor trends, with specific knowledge of RAN, Optics and Fixed Access Networks solutions

Strong technical background and understanding of Nokia’s complete portfolio on IP, Optics and Fixed Access Networks solutions

Proven ability to identify, qualify and close deals

Solid performance history of achieving and/or exceeding targets (order intake, revenues, etc.)

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

 

It would be nice if you also had:

Fluency in Arabic and English

Relevant experience in working with people within a matrix organization

Customers (CxO, Technology, Marketing, Procurement)

CBT/CT Head

BG (Head of Sales, Pre-sales, Pricing, F&C, Delivery)

Legal and other Corporate Functions
