Main Responsibilities

 

In support of the CFO of COLAS Middle East, you are in charge of :

- Implementation of cross audit and review of processes

- Improved budget control

- Administrative support

- Improved monthly closings

develops and executes strategies and standards related to accounting policy, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems and controls.​

Develops, builds and controls the budget monitoring: defines and ensures compliance with budget creation procedures, analyses results and performance in relation to the budget, produces summary documents, defines the main control guidelines and indicators, designs activity dashboards, carries out reporting, etc.​

Ensures the interface with the field: explains the figures, retrieves the explanations, readjusts the forecasts, etc. ​

Participates in performance improvement: anticipates deviations, monitors risks and opportunities, checks the effectiveness of corrective actions, defines drivers for optimisation, etc.​

Ensures the interface with accounting: performs reconciliations between statements, controls inventory operations, provides non-accounting elements, etc.​

Profile

Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 4-5 years of experience​

In-depth knowledge of cost control, accounting and finance

Professional spoken and written English (minimum B2 level)

Process Technician (Trainee), Alpha Plastic Middle East Industries LLC, Dubai, UAE

WHAT YOU WILL ENJOY DOING

Should be able to maintain the machine while running and perform all necessary mechanical adjustments.

Proper starting and stopping of machine

Performs parison controls

Should able to control the material situation in production (regrind level, weight distribution, parison length, flash length etc.)

Clean and make necessary adjustments and minor repairs to equipment

Follows the production schedule to determine the quality and quantity of materials to be produced

Controls material consumption, waste reduction, efficiency and quality of products of machines under his responsibility

Should be able to troubleshoot in case of mechanical or process issues and do all necessary mechanical adjustments.

Ensures all assigned machines are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines

Ensures quality product is being produced at all times and quality checks throughout the shift are done

Supports the changeover team if required

Report any issue that impacts overall performance to his superior

Proper reporting of all requested reports (downtimes, efficiency)

Following SOPs at any point of time

Perform all jobs of Machine setter

Ensures safe working practices are being followed and accidents, hazards and property damage are reported in the required time

Monitors process condition during the running production according to local check sheets and quality requirements

Inspect and examine Products and immediately report any defects

WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT

Mechatronic Certificate is preferred.

Knowledge of Toolmaking, mechanic or electric/electronic systems in the plastics industry

Basic Knowledge of plastics blow moulding or injection moulding equipment, processes and control systems.

Knowledge of setups, troubleshooting and process improvement. 

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Operation System

Basic Toolmaking, Mechanical or Electric/Electronic knowledge

Ability to work in Day & Night Shifts

Must be able to express ideas by means of the spoken word

Must be able to communicate with others in English language

Deputy Country Manager - UAE & Oman, Surbana Jurong, UAE/Oman

The Deputy Country Manager will provide support to the Country Director in the implementation of all activities relating to the development and procurement of business in the UAE and Oman.

Manage and develop SJ’s consulting operations within UAE and Oman in line with the organization’s strategic directions and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Country Director, identify and establish new markets within the country for SJ’s services in line with the organization’s strategic directions.

Identify key clients and build sustainable relationships with these clients.

Work closely with the management of SJ’s Middle East region. Identify other local consultants as may be required to build strategic alliances with them to facilitate the winning and implementation of projects.

Provide guidance and support to SJ’s project managers in the implementation of projects and achievement of financial targets, including the control of project debtors.

Aid and support in marketing of SJ’s services and the preparation of proposals.  Manage and maintain Client Relationship.

Follow-up of proposal evaluation by the client and Liaison with the Government and Private Clients.

Assist Regional Director – Infrastructure to achieve annual KPI for UAE.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience   

A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.

Experience in business development, identifying new opportunities and growing the business in the Middle East region.

Strong relationship-building and client management skills, with the ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and manage team members.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Deep working knowledge of the engineering consulting industry in GCC. Across trends and other market developments.
