POSITION SUMMARY
The Water Online Instrumentation Specialist is accountable for providing technical support and product development activities within the assigned area. This position will be responsible for driving HACH online instrumentation business growth initiative by conducting market research and analyzing market trends to implement new strategies. This position plays a key role in new product launches, sales/technical training and sharing knowledge across the community of channel partner’s sales engineers, end-customer E&I engineer, as well as internal stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility for overall results of assigned product lines or business portfolio, principally revenue growth and margin expansion targets, pricing, new product development and launches, product phase-out, enhancement and optimization, so as to increase sales and market share
Achieve assigned KPI’s through resolving promptly end customers demand related to online water monitoring and analysis by identifying the need and advising/implementing the best solutions.
Supports distribution channel partners, field sales team, with online instrumentation product features and product application knowledge
Visiting HACH key customers across the assigned area regularly, making sure they are highly satisfied with HACH products they are using.
Delivers training to external (customers, distributors, etc) and internal (sales, marketing etc) stakeholders on assigned product lines
Identify projects and work them through, to expand with new customer
Submits and implements detailed plan for distribution channels identifying objectives, opportunities, major customers.
Participates in different activities including customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade shows, exhibitions and seminars, as well as product demonstrations and product application trainings.
Use CRM system, preference to SFDC, for customer contacts, activities, funnel management, and project management
Collects and reports information on all competitive activity within the assigned territory, elaborate and amend value selling
Develops clear and structured analysis based on understanding of market trends, customer insights, competitive dynamics and regulations, supporting longer-term strategic plans and product innovation roadmap; this analysis must also be translatable to impactful actions
Collaborates with global BUs in championing the market requirements.
Performs other duties as and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from reputable university in Instrumentation, analytic Chemistry, Environmental Science or technical field.
3+ years’ work experience in fields Instruments or similar experience in other industries with focus on online measurements devices.
Experienced with Middle East region and CGC markets / Experience with Africa region will be a plus
Strong operational background.
Water treatment or Water Quality industry, application, product, and technology experience would be an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills with effective personal time management and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Water Treatment industry, application, product and technology experience is nice to have
Languages: Fluent English, Arabic and/or French would be an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
