Design Director, Parsons, Riyadh, KSA

Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides management and direction for one of the large Engineering disciplines, or may have a special assignment such as Manager of the Quality Program, or Operations Manager for the department, or Manager over all engineering disciplines on a large job, typically exceeding $250 million in total installed cost.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews and approves discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each project. Reviews and approves staff forecasting reports.

Monitors the quality and progress of the discipline on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied. Works closely with Project Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance or productivity.

Establishes standards and procedures manuals for the discipline. Recommends improvements to department procedures.

Supervises the preparation of the discipline's annual salary plan and controls salary actions within the approved plan.

Responsible for overall managerial and technical direction of the discipline. Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees. Hires, offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels, takes corrective action, as required and approves terminations. Ensures that new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures.

Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant.

Ensures performance within overhead budgets assigned to the discipline.

Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Program. Heads a committee within the discipline, striving to motivate and educate the assigned personnel.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Supervision Received - Engineering Department Manager; Project Director; Division

Manager

Supervision Given - Engineers; Designers; CAD Drafter/Designers; support personnel

Internal Contacts - All employees on project; all engineering disciplines; other depts.

External Contacts - Suppliers; Clients; Government Agencies

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 20+ years of related work experience, including significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel. Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society may be required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical personnel and directing work involving complex technical situations, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.

Procurement Assistant, Parsons, Riyadh, KSA

Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Participates in a variety of procurement functions to ensure quality, efficiency, and timeliness of services provided to clients and project personnel. May provide services for a specialized area of Procurement (e.g., Traffic Specialist, etc.) on medium to large projects. Specific assignments depend upon project requirements. The incumbent at this level is expected to be technically proficient in a particular area of specialty.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contacts suppliers to ensure equipment and materials are delivered to job sites in support of construction schedules. Follows up on assigned purchase orders to ensure adherence to terms and conditions. Initiates action, as required, to resolve any supplier problems which might adversely affect project requirements and construction schedules.

Collaborates with Buyers in the pre-award solicitation process. Prepares bidders lists, issues Request for Quotations, receives and analyzes bids, prepares bid analysis summaries, and may make recommendations for purchase order awards. May prepare Purchase Orders and revisions as required.

Assists in post-award activities such as obtaining final vendor data and invoices from suppliers, inputting data into DMCS for supplier performance evaluations, and preparing for closeout and storage of all records.

Serves as primary contact for the distribution of procurement documents, reports, and correspondence to project management, engineering, and other non-procurement disciplines.

May analyze draft material requisitions, including reviewing for completeness and accuracy, suggesting possible revisions, and forwarding to project engineering for further processing. Ensures appropriate logging of action taken.

Monitors bid requests, bid analyses, and the preparation of purchase orders to ensure timely action. Maintains purchase order records, including history of follow up contacts with suppliers.

Oversees the timely maintenance of purchase orders on DMCS to ensure current status, as well as the coordination, publication, and distribution of project material/equipment status reports.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Economics (or related field) and typically 4+ years of related work experience is required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Procurement experience with a major engineering and construction firm or industrial supplier, good written and oral communication skills, and a proficiency in utilizing DMCS is preferred. In addition, a working knowledge of vendor data control, expediting, and other purchasing activities is required.

Position summary

As a Boutique Manager, you will drive excellent results in all areas including team building, key performance indicators and boutique operations.

A day in the life

As a Boutique Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Sales and Customer Service:

Achieve with team the daily, weekly, monthly sales and service level targets set for the boutique.

Maximize guest frequency, sales and acquisition of new club members in the boutique.

Maximize capsule, accessories and machines sales in the boutique.

Maintain current and up to date knowledge on coffee and the NESPRESSO product.

Continuously evaluate the quality of service and give individual feedback to the Boutique Specialists.

Leadership/Team Management:

Drive the implementation of company programs by motivating and instructing the team to meet operational and organizational objectives.

Motivate and coach team to provide exceptional customer service in keeping with our brand image.

Plan, identify, communicate and delegate appropriate responsibilities to team to ensure a smooth operation.

Provide coaching and direction to the team in an effort to achieve operational goals. Consistently review KPI’s to identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvements. Create action plan to achieve goals.

Operations:

Monitor and manage staffing levels to ensure boutique operations and customer service goals are met.

Recruit, hire and train the team.

Establish annual sales forecasts and capacity planning with regional boutique manager

Utilize tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address inventory and sales trends.

Use all operational tools to plan for and achieve excellence in staffing, scheduling, monthly reports, cash management and inventory management.

Implement SOP’s and guidelines for the boutique ensuring team compliance.

Run monthly and quarterly physical stock inventories, place orders and check deliveries to ensure adequate stock levels.

Deliver all requested weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner.

In partnership with IT, ensure that IT systems function correctly.
