Accountant, RAK Real Estate, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE

The primary role of the accountant is to support the functional activities in accounting and reporting. Activities include receivables & payable accounting, reconciliations, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, cash and banking accounting.

Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables and accounts payable data

Verify Invoices with LPO/work order/site reports and preparing and issuing payments to suppliers

Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments

Perform bank accounts reconciliation, vendor reconciliations and customer accounts reconciliations regularly.

Review bank statements

Review payroll on a monthly basis, prepare payment and distribution of staff salaries, review calculation of end of service, leave salary, airline tickets

Manage the company’s petty cash operations effectively through proper inspection and payments of bills, receipts and cash count.

Prepare and review VAT input and output calculation

Support monthly / yearly closing, internal and external audits

Verify leasing contracts and work orders to ensuring all details such as billing names and all financial information are accurate and reflected properly in the billing system.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Attestation of Educational Certificate required if issued outside the UAE

Minimum 4 years of accounting experience

Proficient in English and Arabic – Verbal & Written

Experience in real estate / leasing / Contracting sectors is a plus

We are looking for a People Experience “PX” Unit Lead will be responsible for ensuring proper HR practices are in place and that they’re constantly up to date, which includes upholding efficient company policies and procedures, talent scoping and recruitment practices, performance evaluation mechanisms, career training and development requirements. The PX Unit Lead will be working in a tech-oriented and data driven environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain company policies and procedures periodically.

Partake in planning and executing HR strategies and initiatives.

Track and further enable the staff’s career development objectives and practices.

Maintain and periodically enhance the company's performance management procedures and tools.

Monitor and continuously grow the company's incentive mechanisms and offerings.

Provide support to company staff with recurring and ad-hoc requests, processes, and queries.

Maintain and continuously improve practices, tools and incentives that enhances staffs’ wellbeing and company's physical and digital work environment.

Nurture a cultivating company culture through events and activities.

?Oversee talent scoping and onboarding processes to ensure they’re properly executed and up to date.

Maintain, update and backup the company’s HRM data records and documents consistently.

Track OKRs and present periodic HR reports as required by management.

Liaison with relevant partners and stakeholders that aid in achieving unit objectives.

Implement disciplinary and grievances practices as per company policies and labor laws.

Prepare and present periodic HR reports as required by management.

 

Candidate Requirement

5 years experience in Human Resource (tech company background preferred)

Excellent communication skills in Arabic & English mandatory

 

Academic Prerequisites:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any related field.

Sr Manager Demand & Planning, AbbVie, Dubai, UAE

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The individual will be expected to provide Gulf-Levant Affiliate with detailed planning input in order to sustain the entire S&OP Planning process. Through a strategic approach, the Senior Demand Planning Manager will ensure there is agreement between all necessary parties. This includes:

Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.

Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.

Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.

Generate detailed forecast to reflect all necessary inputs and meetings.

Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Administer, integrate, and consolidate sales projections to be presented to the AMT and elaborate reports requested by Region. Reconcile supply, demand and new product plans at both detail and aggregate level and tied to the business plan to be reviewed during the S&OP process.

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer service in order to recognize variances and then adjust the forecast accordingly

Run monthly S&OP Meetings.

Coordinate along with Finance Director, Demand/Financial Planning (ADS), Update and LRP timetables and established requirements and communicate to commercial and support areas, as needed.  Prepare and communicate the various planning cycles calendars (ADS, Demand Reviews, S&OP, as applicable)

Manage sales performance information from the company to support the S&OP. 

Set and coordinate reconciliation meetings with the commercial team to review current forecast, in-market sales, inventory levels and DOH to challenge and ensure the most accurate forecast. 

Document assumptions and market trends discussed in the Demand Review meetings and consolidate the information that is going to be used in the Standard and Operating Planning (S&OP) meeting.

Regular reporting of the demand plan and KPIs.

Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing SKUs, new products, and product phase-outs (volume planning for LBE, Update, PLN, LRP).

Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning

Ensure one set of numbers between Demand Statement, Published forecast and financial LBE

Constantly engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment in lead times, inventory days, liquidation plans and inventory aging.

Work with multiple key stakeholders cross-functionally to align revenue forecast assumptions on a monthly basis.

Decision Support/Special Projects – provide ad-hoc analyses that lend insight into key business drivers enabling senior management to adapt more appropriate tactics/strategy to meet the Plan/LRP objectives.

Ensure production plans are aligned to the commercial forecasts.

Support Finance Director in other matters concerning departmental responsibilities and issues, as well as support the affiliate upper management in strategic initiatives, as directed. 

Lead and develop a strong, high-performing team of direct reports.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 7+ years work experience in corporate environment in similar role in FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, Pharma

Regional experience, more than 1 market

Proven experience in project management cross-functionally

Distribution model background of experience

Minimum 2 years of people management experience   

MS Office advanced user 

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Experience with SAP, JDA, DX Dashboard

Experience with SOX controls and revenue recognition

Capable of handling multiple priorities

Strong analytical skills and independent judgment

Ability to negotiate and influence 

Effective problem solving and decision making

Strong leadership skills

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Solve a variety of issues, such as budget variances, processes improvement, as well as problem solving related with programs and systems used in Planning area.
