​Charterhouse are presently managing a search, to pinpoint a Finance Manager to join a construction consultancy practice, located in Sharjah.

About the role

This role shall take ownership of a broad range of accounting and reporting based disciplines, within the accounting and finance function, in support of a Group the Finance Director whilst managing a small team of Accountants. This role shall be heavily focused towards the financial accounting and book-keeping management matters whilst overseeing areas of financial management pertaining to cash-flow controls, collections and the oversight of treasury related activities.

Functionally, this role shall also focus towards areas of statutory reporting and compliance matters linking to Tax, KYC and any financing agreements whilst also overseeing a consolidation of financial statements and reporting-bases commentaries.

In conjunction, this role will focus towards the oversight of project-based accounting; whereby the tracking and analysis of work-in-progress, and subsequent collections, are monitored and implemented across the project portfolio ensuring strong, accurate and timely collections.

About you

Within this search, the client will look to recruit a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant, whom can demonstrate a strong baseline of up to ten years of experience within a technical accounting role. On top of this, the client is ideally looking for a candidate whom can demonstrate a strong analytical-based skillset; whereby they can undertake any financial modelling and analysis across the Excel platform.

The successful candidate shall also be required to deliver an understanding of project-based accounting and any nuances linking to work-in-progress, billing points and collections, whilst in conjunction support the business in terms of cash-flows and liquidity management. The client will look for an ambitious and diligent self-starter whom can join and contribute a strong “value add” to the role and organisation.

PMC Senior Planning and Project Control Engineer, Wood, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Project Control and Planning Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join the PMC team on a newly awarded project with ADNOC Offshore. Successful candidate shall perform the below duties;

Act as a focal point for the project team (including technical leads) regarding PAF generation, scheduling and progress issues

Be particularly diligent in recognizing and reporting to Project Management potential problems in all phases of the project

Ensure that the schedules and systems are integrated to measure, trend, and forecast the work, and are in place and managed

Contribute to the change management process, analysing and reporting schedule and cost impacts to the project

Developing Project Controls section to the PEP

Responsible for the Project Controls team when required on a project

Updating the proposal schedule to indicate specific milestones agreed upon in the Contract

Identifying special project cost instructions and incorporate them into the project cost report system

Assisting with obtaining alignment between Engineering and Procurement Schedules

Assisting with obtaining scheduling alignment with key construction activities

Ensuring that Corporate Systems are set up and maintained inline with project schedules and changes

Assisting with development of DCNs by highlighting impact on schedule, and assist with related tracking and re-baselining effort

Assembling, analysing, and projecting of project progress, costs, and man-hours including planned, actual, and forecast figures

Translating estimate costs into a project budget segregated by Mustang’s code of accounts

Periodically reporting progress and cost trends and propose action plans for remediation

Supporting Project Controls Manager assisting with corporate and administrative duties as required

Reporting status of project and project controls activities to Project Controls Manager on an ongoing and frequent basis

Assisting in creating an environment suitable for ongoing development of junior coordinators

Assigning resources to project work

Assisting in the continual improvement of the Project Controls processes and procedures by providing Project Controls Manager of any concerns with the QMS

Skills / Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering

Minimum 15 years mainly in oil and gas experience, with 5 years in similar role

Practical extensive experience in planning, project control and scheduling

Expertise on project controls and planning tools

Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Team player with a willingness to share ideas with multi-disciplinary team members

Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Good numerical, analytical and literacy skills with a strong attention to detail

Possess good planning and organisational skills and be accustomed to meeting tight deadlines

Field Service Installation Specialist, Roche, Dubai, UAE

The Position

As a Regional Field Service Engineer Middle East you will operate across different countries in the region Middle East which requires a high share of travel, both locally as well as regionally. You are accountable for installation / relocation of analytical laboratory instruments platforms in order to achieve a high level of service excellence within the region. You are also responsible to contribute to large projects at customer sites and can be seen as the knowledge expert.

The role includes the following key responsibilities:

General responsibilities:

● Installation/relocation of analytical laboratory instruments of Roche

● Technical release of analytical systems for laboratory use

● Focus on installations of large projects that require special attention based on the continuous increase of customer demands and specifications on the instruments that we deliver

● Independently analyze and resolve most questions and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels

● Ensure all regional activities are documented in a manner compliant with company’s quality procedure

Additional technical product responsibility:

● Awareness of new service bulletins, Global Customer Support (GCS) hot news and other forums

● Knowledge transfer and technical resource to other Field Service Engineers

● Support for service coordination at customer as well as general/technical advice to service coordination

Documentation and Cooperation:

● Timely and accurate logging of data according to work instructions and agreements, with regard to activities in the CRM system

● Ensure all regional activities are documented in a manner compliant with company’s quality procedures

● Actively gathering information in preparation for meetings, delivering an active part in these meetings and give feedback of outcome of these meetings to others

● Develop and monitor local reports to ensure the efficient and productive delivery of services

● Actively monitor costs for own Service activities

● Openness for frequent travels both local and throughout the Middle East region

● Excellent analytical, problem analysis and decision-making skills

● Effective planning, organizational and time management skills

● Basic knowledge of IT & Networking

● Effective customer service, written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills

● Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
