Reporting Line: Director, Financial Controls based in Dubai

Checkout.com is actively looking for a qualified Manager, Financial Control to join our fast growing team in Dubai.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to join a rapidly expanding global company.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated with excellent communication skills and can work to deadlines. You'll manage revenue operations, revenue reporting, billing controls and support other functions required in the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for all revenue recognition and accounting for all legal entities in the MENA region

Responsible for billing and sending out SOAs to Merchants and Partners in the region on an accurate and timely basis

Drive credit control activities for revenue to be collected in the MENA region, including preparation and analysis of AR Aging and active follow-up

Key business partner for the commercial and strategic partnership teams to ensure new merchants and partners are accurately onboarded from a Finance perspective

Assist with financial reporting of the company on an IFRS basis to regional management and to the corporate accounting function

Assist with review of the financial statements for statutory close

Supervise certain accounting functions including but not limited to customer billing, fixed assets, general ledger, payroll, A/P, A/R, expense reporting

Preparation and approval of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

Assist with preparation of regulatory returns and submissions in the MENAP region

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations

Cash flow management – management of outstanding debtors and ensuring sufficient working capital to meet business needs

Provide reliable financial information for key decision making to local management in a timely manner

Maintain documentation of financial process and participate in continuous operational improvement

Participate in any system implementation/ testing projects or enhancements to existing systems or new applications, as required

Other tasks as advised by management

About You:

Bachelor Degree in Economics, Accounting or equivalent with a strong academic record

Licensed Certified Public Accountant

7-10 years proven experience

Experience working with a multinational, tech company including leading accounting, revenue recognition, billing, compliance and audit activities

Big 4 experience is a plus

Up-to-date technical skills and confident preparing IFRS financial documents

Excellent knowledge of Excel and data manipulation

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent analytical abilities

Great teammate with validated coaching competence

Well organized, self-sufficient, hardworking and committed to results

Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment

Strong written and spoken English

Fugro are looking for talented Project Manager’s to join our dynamic team based in UAE. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of projects ensuring an effective and efficient execution ensuring all QHSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met. You will have the opportunity to manage a diverse range of projects.

This job is for you if:

You have extensive experience and thrive off managing complex projects, able to think on your feet and enjoy working in a hands-on, practical environment.

You aspire to be involved in industry leading projects using the latest geophysical/hydrographic equipment across a variety of projects.

You have excellent communication skills and an exceptional eye for detail.

Who you’ll be working with:

You will be working as a pivotal part of a dedicated team of Project Managers, primarily responsible for managing projects, offering advice, and leading site based teams, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with clients through responding to enquiries and active follow-ups on ongoing queries.

Here’s what a typical day would be like:

Communicating with clients regarding on-going projects.

Calculating the daily financials and predicting future revenues and costs.

Author project documentation including project execution plans

Manage contractual commitments to ensure compliance

Conducting quality control on project reports and data.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for proven candidates who are versatile, reliable and efficient at managing complex projects. We require first class communicators that adopt a proactive and systematic approach with a competitive attitude, along with:

MSc or BSc level in an industry associated discipline, or equivalent qualification

Complex project management experience.

Confidence to engage with individuals at all levels.

Marine experience is highly preferable.

Geophysical/Hydrography experience is highly preferable.

Excellent knowledge of the English language (verbal and written).

Knowledge of the Geotechnical industry is desirable, but not essential.

Willingness to travel.

To complement the Regional Procurement Team, we are looking for a Regional Category Manager for the 'dry/chilled/fresh/frozen provisions' category. In this role, you will become a strategic partner and have overall responsibility for creating, maintaining, and improving inbound supply chains for the Wrist Ship Supply organization through building relations with the regional vendor community and create the best possible sourcing position for Wrist, considering total cost price, quality, availability and logistics.

You will have significant freedom in building and maintaining a strong supplier portfolio, initiate and close significant contract negotiations and generally keep abreast of category market movements and consumer requirements.

With reference to our Regional Procurement manager, you will become part a strong Regional team, where you will work close with the sales team in analyzing market data and identify the relevant assortments, based on our customers’ consumer patterns.

The position is based in Sharjah (Dubai) UAE.

Key responsibilities:

Total cost optimization: Analyse purchasing trends, commodity development, execute benchmarking and convert into financial improvement of the business. Search the market for identification of new vendors and opportunities and incorporate those in the business.
Working Capital optimization (Days of Payment Outstanding, Days of Sales Inventory).
Utilize our warehouse capacity with in-depth analysis of sales trend, commodity development and product movement.
Contract coverage and compliance.
Drive and develop category strategy, including objectives and targets and execute on global category strategies agreed with global category manager
Assortment development and execution: Understand consumer patterns and translate the data into new products/assortments and/or new vendors. Optimize assortments and COGS throughout the organization by leading the definition, item alignment and roll out of global and regional assortment programs
Supplier relations management to maximize cooperation.

Qualifications & requirements:

As a person you are result oriented, decisive and action oriented. You manage your stakeholders well and can drive alignment. Your approach is data driven and your decisions are based on facts.
You possess strong negotiation-, communication- and influencing skills. You have a longer experience with global sourcing and a strong procurement toolbox. You have experience in building assortments in cooperation with sales.
Preferrable 5+ years Procurement Category Management experience with specialty in the food category. Preferable experience from working in a global matrix organization.
