Revenue Manager - Waldorf Astoria Lusail, Doha, Qatar

A Revenue Manager manages the hotel sales and marketing plans by recommending growth efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the hotel is competitively positioned within the local marketplace.

 


What will I be doing?

 

As Revenue Manager, you are responsible for analysing and presenting financial data that will help the Sales and Senior executive teams to make well-informed decisions about potential new business and the market, in general.

 

 

Manage and lead the Team through day-to-day operations, as well as strategically guide the Revenue department to achieve Team and organisational goals
Ensure yield exemptions are investigated and analysed and new business opportunities are identified
Gather and analyse statistics, yield information and all other relevant information in order to identify potential new business, markets and trends, and to minimise risk
Prepare a three-month market segment outlook and maintain on a daily basis by monitoring actual results versus forecast for plan achievement
Complete and analyse month-end reports
Outline risks and opportunities relative to meeting rooms versus Guest room availability to present at weekly meetings
Record and analyse all refused, lost, cancelled and waitlisted business for both Guest rooms and Conference and Banquet (Conference and Banquet) meeting space
Ensure effective information gathering and analysis is conducted in order to identify and maximise on all possible opportunities and minimise any risks
Ensure Team Members have current knowledge for all relevant processes, policies and promotions, as necessary, to perform their duties
Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures
Recruit, manage, train and develop the Revenue Team

Job Description
Finance professional oversees and administer all financial aspects of the Minor Hotel Group's operations. You will be supporting Group Director of Finance to maximize revenue and performance of the hotel, preliminary review of capital expenditure request and providing feedback to properties. To track performance against the annual operating budget and other financial targets of the hotel group, and responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly financial reports for the MH management team together with supporting analysis and reconciliations. You will work according to the policies and procedures that govern the operations of the finance function within MH.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or higher
- At least 3 - 5 years experienced in related work field
- Experience in accounting or finance & accounting in hotel business is preferable.
- Strong analytical skill and problem solving skill
- Understand and able to analyze financial data including profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow statement
- Good skill in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Good Command in English

Purpose of Role

The Accounts Officer is responsible to provide financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data, preparing reports.

ISP Accounts Officer/Purchasing Officer Key Responsibilities

Processes and manages the purchase order and purchase requisitions
Budget checks against the purchase order and purchase requisitions submitted to Finance
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Assist the Senior Accountant with debtors’ collections, invoicing and Accounts Receivable
Assist the Accountant with supplier payments
Facilitates the authorisation of documents between Finance, Senior Administrator, and all departments across the school
Completes external audit by analysing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors
Work as a team member sharing expertise, ideas, and information
Reports to the Line Manager on administrative and personnel issues and grievances
Ad-hoc duties as required by Finance and Administration Manager
Assist with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Conduct regular ledger maintenance
Coordinate annual asset verification program
Manages the master sheet of all contracts and subscriptions across the school
Facilitates the collection of all ASA and Inclusion related information for monthly billings
Other duties and responsibilities

Any other duties that the Principal may from time to time ask the post-holder to perform.

 Qualifications and Experience

Language:

English is mandatory
Arabic is an advantage

Assistant -Buyer -SYMK, Apparel Group, UAE

POSITION OBJECTIVE

  • Plan and select the range, type, quality and quantity of merchandise according to customer demand, trends, store policies and set prices and sell through targets in conjunction with the Brand Manager/GM to ensure they are in line with the budget
  • Carry out buying activities in-line with the brand buying plans
  • Maintain profitable relationships with existing suppliers and monitor the adherence to the contract terms

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy:
  • Drive the seasonal strategies in line with the brand positioning to formulate Gross Margin Plan
  • Develop a fine tuned assortment and investment plan
  • Create the sourcing development plan and action the critical path to deliver timely
  • Negotiate with new suppliers on product pricing, payment terms, cost of freight, provision of training, and the extent of their involvement in advertising and promotions, to decide on placing a purchase order with the supplier for the concerned product
  • OTB Planning – Manage OTB in tandem with the planning counterpart
  • Deliver the seasonal business strategy by monitoring and impacting the critical path, range building and product selection
  • Prepare and manage the buying calendar
  • Formulate seasonal product focus plan with Marketing and VM to drive key product initiatives
  • Focus on holding current business and build new categories
  • Conducting customer focus groups and competitive shopping

Performance and Operations:

  • Analysis and reporting of weekly sales performance at style, range, category and business unit level against range plan. Take in season action to revise production flows and maximize sales
  • Manage TNA plans
  • Implement the buying calendar for timely seasonal analysis and range build
  • Perform regular competitor surveys to identify product gaps, influence lessons learnt and range plans
  • Manage range and product hierarchy and create the seasonal phasing plan
  • Responsible for the ‘The Look’ for the season. Influence product selection, in-store VM as per guidelines and layout planning
  • Keep abreast of market trends and awareness of competitor activities
  • Manage the product training of staff to ensure up-to-date knowledge. Prepare regular trends training and deliver to the business units
  • Review buying feedback reports and provide recommendations to General Manager as to buying strategy for a respective brand/collection

Assistant Store Manager, Apparel Group, Buraidah, KSA

Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE
- Ensuring the highest levels of customer service are provided by retail staff and ensure they have the skills and support required for maximizing sales
- Assisting the Store Manager in efficient and profitable operation of the store, in accordance with the Company policies and procedures
- End to end store responsibility in absence of Store Manager
- Promote the Loyalty Program of the company for maximizing loyalty and repeat sales
- Provide feedback to the Store Manager and Area Manager with regards to employees and products
Key Responsibilities
- Must be fashionable / well-groomed and possess up-to-date product knowledge to ensure minimal stock loss
- Maintains knowledge of new product, trend and fashion directives at all times in order to effectively respond to and anticipate customer needs
- Ensuring the retail staff has the skill to provide highest levels of customer service for maximizing the sales
- Assisting the Store Manager in implementation of operating procedures at the store as per the company standards
- Ensure the brand and company’s policies and procedures are adhered by all the staff at all the times
- Regularly audits own store administration and resolve any issues
- Manage the daily roaster, leave and grievances of the retail staff
- Maintain the visual merchandising standards at the stores all the time as per set VM standards
- Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program of the company for repeat sales
- Provide feedback to the Store Manager and/or Area Manager with regards to the employees and products
- Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of security in the store without any negligence
- Must be updated about the various brands of the group for suggestive selling to the customers
- End to end store responsibility in absence of Store Manager
- Must be physically fit to stand for extended hours and heavy lifting
