Your Role – International, Challenging And Future-Oriented!

· Working as project design engineer within project execution team to support Project Manager for substation design.
· Responsible for engineering of new and existing distribution networks including material list / bill of materials and accordingly preparing the drawings for customer approvals.
· Maintain engineering register, prepare submission drawings, and ensure approvals from customer, clarification of comments, drawing updates and getting final dossier approval.
· Liaising with factories for engineering clarifications.
· To be able to prepare new, existing drawings, markups, modifications for primarily for Transformers, Medium & Low voltage, control & protections, bus duct and cabling systems to fulfill the customer specification and requirement. Knowledge of Civil and MEP systems
· To be able to configure hardware and optimized design for Medium Networks to fulfill the customer specification and requirement.
· To work out the material list of control and protection for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchgear.
· Preparation of cable engineering, interconnection diagram cable list etc.
· To be able to optimize the control and protection philosophy in line with the customer specifications
· To be able to report design variation to superior and project manager
· Support and co-operate with the equipment manufacturers during manufacturing process

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid!

· Have experience primarily for Utilities and Oil & Gas projects
· Understanding specifications and requirements of the customers in LGR
· Well versant with PC application software (Microsoft office, Microsoft Project, VISIO etc.) specially with engineering software such as ELCAD and AUTOCAD
· At least 6-10 years’ experience dealing within the required Job profile
· Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power)
· Preferable 2 years of collaboration with international teams to fit into the word wide oriented engineering and other organizational structure

Specific Accountabilities

Promote and drive the involvement of Construction in areas of technical design, schedule, preliminary execution planning, and cost estimating.
Develop and maintain familiarity and appreciation of capability and ongoing workload of Construction’s support providers/contractors.
Develop and maintain functional responsibility for all construction and completions personnel in PMC
Overall supervision of construction engineers.
Technical competence of engineering personnel
Inter discipline communication development.
Group communication development.
Prepare man-hour estimate to perform project tasks.
Promote cost reduction and productivity-enhancing initiatives.
Identify and review new technology development which could be applicable in providing more cost-effective facilities.
Technical supervision of project-designated engineers in the execution of their duty.
Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the project
Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the project.

Principal Accountabilities to be added

Ensure that all E&I construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are instructed in and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements
Ensure that E&I construction contractors working within the discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, Specifications, ITP’s, Procedures and Site Instructions
Responsible for the HSES, and quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring construction contractors complete their work in accordance with the project schedule.
Review and monitor the availability of drawings, specifications, job instructions, material deliveries and tools applicable to the particular discipline and area of work
In conjunction with the contractors’ supervision, planning engineers, and the Construction Engineer, develop detailed daily and weekly work plans in accordance with the overall planning schedule
Inform the Discipline Superintendent on specific areas where the programme needs to be adjusted in accordance with site conditions and material deliveries
Responsible for monitoring the discipline and timekeeping of contractors’ staff and labour in a defined work area, identifying any disciplinary action required, and informing the relevant Discipline Superintendent

A degree or Diploma in Engineering with minimum 8 years experience within in major oil/gas projects in similar position.
Having experience working throughtout in construction and commissioning on large downstream pertochemical, refinery projects.
Must have independently handled all E&I aspects during exectuion of large EPC projects preferable in Middle East.
Must be fully aware of HSE standard and practices adoped in Large size project, implementations during construction and commissioning.
Basic computer software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)

Job Description

Perform Licensing and Regulatory Affairs activities and tasks for the safe and reliable operation of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) so that the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) regulatory requirements are met and approvals obtained in a timely and efficient manner

Licenses and Permits Maintenance

Prepare and coordinate the preparation of licensing documents to ensure all technical and regulatory requirements are met.
Prepare or assist in preparing routine license applications to satisfy all applicable regulatory and technical requirements.
Review regulatory topics and develop technical and regulatory strategies to resolve regulatory issues associated with licenses or license applications.
Review, prepare and submit responses to regulator requests for additional information to ensure accurate and timely response.

Licensing Document Development

Prepare and assist in communicating licensing and compliance documents (e.g., reports, responses to questions, presentations, etc.) to meet all requirements and achieve desired outcomes.
Coordinate and assist in preparing licensing documents in a timely manner to be in accordance with approved procedures and processes.
Review and prepare presentations to address topics of interest with FANR.

Licensing Support

Assist in the development of and review regulatory processes and procedures for use by Nawah in carrying out the licensing function.
Support the inspections by FANR by reviewing potential issues, researching licensing basis, participating in self-assessments, and facilitating inspections by active interface with inspectors to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
Review draft regulations and industry operating experience to identify emerging regulatory issues and support the development of strategies for addressing these issues. Suggest cost-effective methods of implementing actions to ensure compliance with new regulations.
Participate in International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) functions or initiatives in area of expertise as needed to improve products and express UAE best interests.
Interface with other regulators as required such as Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD), or outside organizations such as IAEA as needed to provide input or answer questions that are related to the licensing basis.
Support the training and instruction to other departments as needed to ensure organizational excellence.
