The Job Opportunity

The purpose of the role is to carryout preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on medium and low voltage power distribution related systems and assets individually or as part of a technical team, within a designated area of Dubai Airports, whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the airport operations.

Key accountabilities

Ability to conform to all general and technical safety requirements at all times to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work
Any other work as assigned by the electrical supervisor/duty engineer to achieve the purpose
Can read interpret and describe the functionality of electrical drawings (circuit and wiring diagrams/schematic and layout drawings) irrespective of manufacturer

Tasks’ Experience (Hands-on)

Tasks such as, but not limited to

• Ring Main Unit Functional tests, Replacement of Fuses, inspection and maintenance of internal components.

• MV/LV Transformer functional tests and inspection and maintenance of internal components.

• Intrusive & non-intrusive maintenance on MV/LV switchgears

• Earth Testing Programs

• Thermal image surveys

Asset Maintenance Experience (Hands-on)

For listed Assets, in the capacity as a lead person:

o Periodic Preventive Maintenance

o Breakdown Trouble Shooting

o Inspections

o Condition Assessment

o Condition Based Maintenance

o Corrective Maintenance

o Configuration and Modifications

Specific requirements

High School Certificate or Industrial Training Institute Diploma (3-year duration) in
Electrical Maintenance or equivalent (post high school)
IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent
Current valid UAE driving license is desirable
Minimum three (3) year experience within Structured Cabling environment or similar.
Airport experience is considered as added advantage for this position
This position requires a very good level of spoken and written English.
Ability to communicate with staff, stakeholders and customers in oral and written English.
Working knowledge in MS Office (Word / Excel / Power point)
Ability to perform safely and correctly the following on Medium Voltage (MV) & Low voltage (LV) equipment and systems:
Electrical Isolations and LOTO, Planned preventative maintenance (PM) routines, Corrective maintenance (CM), Breakdown maintenance (BD)

The Senior Planning Engineer reports to the assigned Line Manager and Project Manager.

Job Overview

The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible to focus on and produce quality project planning packages and ensures effective and profitable project monitoring, control and Reporting in all project areas according to company’s quality standards. Only candidates with FEED and DETAIL ENGINEERING Experience from reputable engineering consultancies shall be considered.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, the incumbent will

Perform Project Control tasks including project planning, scheduling on Primavera (Release 15.1)/MS Project/EDDR (Engineering Documents Deliverables Register), risk analysis of project schedules on Primavera Risk Analysis (version 8.7), progress reporting, tasks related to EOT (Extension of Time) claim, cost reporting, cost estimation including cost estimate plan and basis, calculate contingency related to cost estimate by using Monte Carlo based @RISK® Analysis Simulation, project status reporting and all tasks related to back up documentation required for invoicing according to Company's requirements.
Report the project’s gross margin and implement a monitoring and control actions to ensure the target gross margin is achieved.
Work as a right hand to the project manger with sound reporting about the project’s KPIs:
- Schedule (Schedule Performance Index)
- Cost (Cost Performance Index)
- Number of deliverables, activities, subcontracts, software, etc.
Assist in building project control team in Abu Dhabi and be a part of the Company’s global Project Control discipline. These activities includes tasks but not limited to; organizing trainings related to project controls function, sharing ideas for improvements and willingness to accept challenging assignments.
Prepare/check project control documents, work instructions, procedures and plans.
Participate in tasks related to bid preparation, execution planning, man-hours and cost estimates, and participate in sales activities (e.g. providing support to sales for bid preparation) on request.
Analyze engineering documents and prepare CAPEX and OPEX estimates.
Analyze the feasibility of investment proposals by building NPV and IRR models.
Performing active follow-up with all relevant stakeholders (internal/external) in order to get needed information as well as to complete all project control tasks.
Cooperate with other engineering disciplines, customers and subcontractors locally or overseas.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree with total 15 years experience and minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in Project Control of Engineering functions (mainly) and an understanding of the requirements of Procurement / Construction in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
Must have work experience in UAE
Working experience with reputed engineering consultants and major turnarounds is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in English language
Can work on multiple projects.

Job Responsibilities

Provides an all-encompassing Logistics administration service to employees and managers in the following areas:

•   To provide support with contact and arranging of travel to mobilise staff to meet client needs as required by the crewing team.
•   Work closely with UK HR Team

•   Ensuring all costs are captured on the cost capture spreadsheet and correctly approved
•   Any other reasonable task as requested by line management
