Primary Objective

 

Project Performance

  • Liaise with location and project management as the HSE and Quality focal point for all aspects of project delivery.  
  • Provide support for the successful set up and mobilization of projects. Assist with the identification and appointment Risk, HSE and Quality project resources. 
  • Assist in building solutions for projects and intervene and troubleshoot on projects where performance indicates this is required, or as requested by leadership. Help build and deploy actions plans and provide short-term ‘hands on’ support for projects as needed. Ensure that project specific fatal risks are identified and effectively managed. 
  • Provide specialist advice and support including conduct of investigations, response to customer and community complaints, assessments, risk assessments and provision of other subject matter guidance and support. Escalate as required to the project manager, location leader Director and performance issues that are left unmanaged. 
  • Facilitate implementation of assurance processes and tools by actively visiting work locations and sites to assess the risk and effectiveness of assurance practices in place. This includes conducting regular HSE conversations, assurance leadership interactions, assurance talks, training sessions, implementation of assurance measures, promotion of safe work practices and ensuring interest & awareness of assurance is maintained at all levels. Check supplier evaluation and inspection programs as appropriate.
  • Coach, influence, motivate and empower others with regards to assurance and the achievement of Worley Life safety and wellbeing programs such as the Life Saving Rules (LSR). Understand and communicate the assurance performance, strengths and weaknesses of any project visited to the Project Manager and make recommendations and offer advice.  
  • Gather end of project data to validate and improve assurance benchmarking for estimates.

 

Customer Advocacy and Proposal Support

  • Engage with customers to ensure that customer assurance expectations and requirements are met. Build relationships with customer counterparts, customer operational and project personnel.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business development, support pursuit efforts, assist with development of proposals, and work to ensure estimates include adequate assurance allocation. Assist with customer pitches when required. 

 

Risk

  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk management activities within the locations and projects, particularly for any significant changes or major decisions, and provide advice and support. 
  • Facilitate functional and project risk workshops, reviews and discussions as needed and assist with development and achievement of risk mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that business opportunities are properly evaluated regarding the risks involved and that appropriate approvals are achieved, treatment plans considered and transitioned to delivery teams.
  • Support office and project R3 planning, preparation, drills, and other activities as appropriate. Assist with office and project emergency management as needed, journey planning, injury management and evaluation of medical providers and clinics.

 

Insight and Influencing Action

  • Take a leadership role within the location businesses and seek out and elevate any areas of exposure for both the business and for individuals. Participate in operational meetings, including Monthly Project Reviews.
  • Communicate relevant and timely assurance information to the right stakeholders. Contribute to continual improvement and achievement of stated performance objectives by raising awareness of trends, risks, and emerging themes; and by setting, tracking, and reporting upon leading KPIs. Understand the assurance performance, strengths and weaknesses, and the culture within the business and drive action. Make recommendations, offer advice, liaise with and influence personnel.

 

Billable resourcing allocation

  • Ensure competent and fit for purpose assurance personnel are appointed that can meet the requirements of the project, contract, and customer expectations. 
  • Ensure all billable assurance personnel within your jurisdiction have an indication of future project opportunities. Communicate with other Business Partners to identify possible opportunities.

 

Assurance Planning and Improvement

  • Support the Regional Assurance Plan through conduct of assigned assessments. Facilitate effective implementation of non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action management processes.
  • Support strategy and improvement initiatives by providing input and assisting with development of materials as requested. 
  • Assist Locations to understand assurance requirements and deploy applicable parts of the strategy. 
  • Role model and promote corporate responsibility and diversity and inclusion across offices and projects.
  • Assist offices to maintain quality management systems fit for ISO 9001 certification, and if needed for safety and environment certifications. 
  • Provide support to offices as needed, particularly to offices not overseen by another assurance resource. Ensure small projects with field work have assurance support to manage risk and deliver successful assurance outcomes.
  • Assist to identify training needs and deliver training on assurance systems and associated business processes as required. Steward improved uptake of the Worley Assurance System by leadership, operations, and delivery. 

 

Team Development

  • Lead the professional development of assurance personnel within your jurisdiction and provide coaching and mentoring to encourage professional growth. 
  • Ensure all assurance personnel, including billable, within your jurisdiction have a personal development plan underpinned by KPIs reinforcing the individual development planning.
  • In conjunction with the appropriate management, recruit and allocate assurance resources to ensure that the business and projects are adequately resourced with sufficient and capable expertise.

 

Networks 

  • Collaborate to share best practice, lessons learnt and improve knowledge management. Contribute to the success of relevant internal networks.
  • Provide opportunity for sharing of assurance personnel where their areas of subject matter expertise can provide value added support across your jurisdiction.
  • Compliance 
  • Stay abreast of emerging assurance issues and legislation. Keep the business updated with relevant requirements, and assist with compliance to assurance legislation, and where applicable customer assurance requirements. 
  • Actively promulgate Worley Life and the Worley way of working, support the implementation of new company systems and programs as they come available. Aid personnel in their understanding and correct interpretation of Company business processes and systems

 

 

Qualification(s) Requirement:

 

  • The ideal candidate will possess either an engineering degree and/or an equivalent diploma from an accredited college or university.
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 15 (Fifteen) years of total minimum experience post qualification in either HSE, quality or risk experience within the Oil & Gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry, with exposure to heavy oil projects
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years industry relevant experience including in a site-based project HSE, quality or risk role on large or complex projects involving procurement and contractor management, facilitation of leadership meetings, formal workshops, learning sessions, risk assessments.
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum experience of 5 years in a related designation / specialty.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience implementing ISO 9000 and 14000 series and International Standards relevant to the Oil & Gas industry
  • It is an added benefit if the candidate is a Certified Contracts Manager by any reputable professional organization.
  • Must also have excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and potential clients and capable of independently negotiating complex contractual issues

JOB PURPOSE

Develop presence and share of Self Service and New Channels by planning the right execution standards, developing the optimal trading terms and working with the field team to execute.
Develop and roll-out New Channels expansion plan
Manage the Self Service Channel CDA and customer support plan
Manage the key accounts in both Self Service and New Channels
Manage new channels, and lead his team in accordance with sales plans to achieve/exceed objectives in terms of execution, gross and net revenues, market share and people development targets.
Train and coach sales team to enable them to deliver and execute AOP targets.
Achieve and exceed sales fundamentals and volume targets by implementing company plans, and recommending tests/programs for business improvement in SS & new channels.
Update database to measure SS & new channels performance against key business objectives. Use this data to analyse the business and develop future action plans.
Work on volume forecasting for SS & new channels.
Lead the growth agenda of New channels, and come with new initiatives that can develop the business.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1 Financial
• Control of MEED statements of account and follow up with the customer reconciliation with finance team on monthly & quarterly bases (as needed).
• Follow up on MEED payments and make sure they are posted in our system on time.
• Follow up on credit limits compliance to ensure that all customers are within their assigned credit limits & terms.
• Manage ss and New channels profitability, by aligning on selling prices and support with your line manager and finance.
• Follow up with customer & finance department to ensure proper implementation of the following:
- Customer Incentives
- Credit notes implementation & posting
- Monitor short deliveries & returns
- Sales team incentive schemes
- Customers Contracts payment on time, while managing/deducting the non compliance

2 Control & Planning
• Working as a link between Field & internal department (i.e. Finance…etc.) and Leverage the channel operating processes to ensure that field are aligned to relevant activities and execution standards within the allocated accounts.
• Plan and Follow up with the final activities and its implementation in the market by the filed within the allocated accounts through complete reporting system that compare between the achievements & the planned figures.
• Control of contractual documents and maintain an updated summary of all CDA’s
• Ensure that HHT is implemented correctly across the regions by gathering and updating the system with the required data (customers, routes, barcode…etc.)
• Plan all new channels development projects

Customer & Sales Data Management
• Prepare monthly sales reports by SKU comparing the plan Vs. actual
• Maintain sales history data for performance analysis.
• Maintain the monthly/quarterly targets and break it down by customer.
• Ensure that customer pricing/ CDA terms are agreed to support the agreed business goals, based on principles and that any changes are based upon an objective business case and are approved by SSFL Management.
• Plan AOP and cascade down the execution plans, while leading the implementation and the budget for the New channels and SS channel
• Customer administration. Specifically:
• Prepare periodic reports covering customer performance versus target, implementation of the account plan and the outlook for the balance of the year.

Review
• Undertake store checks alongside account visits to understand the real category / SSFL situation and to monitor compliance to agreed activities.
• Join finance in their visits to Organized Trade customers when conducting accounts reconciliation.
• Evaluate key activities/ promotions (combo) to determine what works best as a basis for future plans.

• Organize, control and motivate team to achieve sales targets within the agreed profit margins.
• Select, train, develop and follow-up sales personnel to the standards (FLSMP) necessary to meet the current and long term needs of the department.
• Monitor changes in the market situation and legislative requirements, and recommend or implement action to meet circumstances as required.
• Represent the company at senior levels within the customer base to ensure the image of SSFL is maintained & enhanced and as an aid to achieve sales targets.
• Ensure proper execution for all new product initiatives.
• Ensure proper execution of all merchandising and operational priorities.
• Key Field Sales KPI's to include: reaching distribution targets (depth and breadth - capture additional points of sale); Upgrading execution on primary placements both in quantitative approach (space fair share) and qualitative approach (location + appearance).
• Manage administrative & control agenda within the field to include: maintaining control over the main
KPIs - ensure the Execution of KPI's per Store; insure effective monitoring and processes are in place, implement and insure compliance with accounting, inventory, and control procedures; resolve service & supply issues with affected parties; design and report the results/activities of the sales force.
• Ensure proper roll-out and sustain the implementation of Best Practice Tools within the Region.
• Perform periodical market visits to insure proper sales and shelf execution.
• Attend to customer complaints and insure smooth and prompt delivery to all customers.
• Provide coaching, feedback and one-to-one sessions to direct subordinates.
• Motivates sales team to achieve high results and better numbers.
• SSFL Control Agenda & Control Responsibility:
• Understand the objective of the control
• Maintain Process documentation that is complete and accurate including
(i) narratives, (ii) flowcharts, (iii) test scripts
• Evaluate the effectiveness of controls assigned to them
• Maintain an audit trail to evidence execution of the activities, sufficient to enable re-performance by independent 3rd party
• Lead the remediation efforts for a control deficiency
• Provide results of testing to Process Owners.
