Senior Risk Manager, Tap Payments, Riyadh, KSA

The Risk Manager will be the country lead for all operations risk issues, working closely with the group function to ensure operational efficiencies in Risk for the territory.

As a Tapster You Will:

  • Perform operational risk identification and assessment for all business units within the group
  • Implement a strategic plan to prevent, eliminate and mitigate operational risks.
  • Assist Operational Risk Analysts in development of key risk and control indicators.
  • Coordinate with senior management in performing operational risk reviews.
  • Track and monitor operational risk issues for business units by implementing an Operational Risk Register for all business units with risk profiles and targets
  • Report operational risk issues and decisions to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating risk areas across the operational activities.
  • Investigate root causes of operational risks and provide support to mitigate risk.
  • Maintain and analyse operational risk losses across the group
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners by addressing issues/concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain documentation for risk management and risk policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of latest operational risk management techniques and industry best practices.
  • Provide specialist technical support for ORM development and implementation;
  • Drive the development of operational risk management capability, competency and capacity across the operational levels via facilitation, material, and delivery modes.
  • Enabling the First Line and Second Line of defence to manage Operational Risk effectively through provision of advice, tools training and robust independent challenge.
  • Facilitate the embedding of systems that accurately define, monitor, and analyse operational risk profiles, control strategies, and control effectiveness;
  • Apply appropriate risk management methodologies to identify operational risks and define robust critical control strategies;
  • Additional responsibilities as designated by the manager

What You Will Bring to the Party:

  • A Degree in a practical field preferred in Finance, Commerce, Economics and Accounting
  • Experience relevant to 5 - 8 years for leading a risk function in a regulated financial institution or in an international setting (e-money or payment services provider are a plus).
  • Experience in leading a risk function, motivating team members, syndicating, and championing the importance of risk management as an enabler of sustainable business growth.
  • Strong experience in tools and standards in identifying, assessment, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting of risks at the enterprise level.
  • Have experience in conducting risk and control assessment, business impact analysis, root case analysis, defining KRI, assessing products, incident management and investigation, data analysis, and stress testing.
  • Have experience in building and working with operational risk solutions.
  • Experience around business process re-engineering and quality management is highly desired.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to risk and exposure to having worked with regulatory organisations.
  • Highly developed analytical skills with ability to synthesise complex information into quality reporting and presentations
  • Great communicator, quick thinker and confident in decision making.
    Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

  • Directs and controls billing and collections activities in accordance with company policy.

Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, internal and external to forecast sales, refine marketing and sales strategies, and presenting business plans to leadership

Emotional intelligence (EQ), required for productively communicating with different personalities to build and uphold partner relationships

Natural curiosity about new marketing and growth strategies (and supporting technologies)

Must be a logical thinker and detail oriented.

Professional in English Language and preferred with Arabic Language.

Ability to work with internProfessional in English Language and preferred with Arabic languageal and external teams

Must have experience managing change

Ability to extract, analyze, and report data in a consistent and timely manner in support of all sales and marketing initiatives

Must be self-motivated and able to work under pressure of deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
