Job Description

Consulting Partner helps our clients reform their operations and support their business by providing intuitive guidance and consulting advisory. They partner with our customers who wants to invest in change and improvement and needs help as to where and how. They also undertake projects on behalf of the client’s business when it lacks resources or motive to perform them in-house. Consulting Partner has first and foremost a broad knowledge of the many facets of business and market forces of Energy Industry. The ideal candidate will also possess great problem-solving skills to provide solutions and recommendations that will increase profitability and efficiency and comes with a background in Energy Industry either Upstream, Midstream or Downstream. The goal is to contribute to the clients’ long-lasting success so that our reputation can expand along with our clientele.

 

Responsibilities – Primary:

  • Lead industry capabilities and consulting practices for regional market cluster to prioritise, develop and scale compelling customer value propositions – while leveraging existing offerings and incubating specific offerings relevant for the market.
  • Develop a market development strategy and plan for regional cluster in consultation with account focal points, practices, service line discipline leads and business unit leadership.
  • Own and deliver on a business plan for the regional market with focus on account development, revenue growth, consulting delivery, impact (pull-through) revenue, bookings, revenue investments, margins and operating parameters of utilization, practice SG&A.
  • Drive proactive and structured market development efforts as per plan with due emphasis on partnerships, marketing outreach, advisor relationships, start-ups & venture networks,
  • Lead delivery of transformation and consulting business in the region, and oversee execution of integrated solutions as needed.
  • Build and nurture customer and partner relationships in a structured manner while providing thought leadership to the account and delivery teams in the region.
  • Lead a consulting core team for the region representing various capability areas, and provide line management for the core team engaged in blended roles of supporting growth and consulting execution. Leverage existing teams and recruit new talent as per business plan and investment frame.
  • As a senior member of the business unit, provide inputs for strategy formulation, competency development and investments. Support replication of regional successes and customer value propositions across other market clusters.
  • Be functionally accountable to Managing Partner of Energy BU, and matrixed to Wipro’s Regional Business Leader (X-Sector).

- Communicate with customers across different channels (phone, email, chat)

Lead - Wastewater & Reuse, Atkins, Abu Dhabi, UAE

 Atkins, an SNC-Lavalin company, is a world-leader in engineering and design consultancy and construction; we have the breadth and depth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects. The Infrastructure division is currently seeking to appoint an Lead - Wastewater & Reuse to join our Water team in Abu Dhabi.

We have an extensive portfolio of international projects, helping our clients address asset creation, process improvement and plant optimisation needs. Our locally focused teams incorporate expert electrical, ICA, process, mechanical and civil engineers who provide a multidisciplinary approach to solving our clients’ problems in creating, managing, building and investing in water and wastewater infrastructure.

Detailed role requirements:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience in providing technical consultancy services (mainly feasibility studies) in water sector infrastructure for private, public sector and/or multilateral international finance institutions clients.

  • Experience in the Middle East is highly desirable.

  • Experience in the design, optimisation and specification of municipal and industrial water & wastewater treatment technologies 

  • A good understanding of chemical and energy consumption of municipal and industrial water & wastewater treatment processes with experience in optimisation

  • Experience of technical advisory inputs in preparing feasibility studies to determine the preferred option for project procurement and delivery.

  • A good understanding of the water sector that offers potential for growth and private sector investment, including but not limited to technical merits, policy and regulation, delivery and or supply chain.

  • Awareness of the fundamentals of international PPP or Project Finance transactions – particularly funding & financing; stakeholders; documentation; risk classification and transfer; revenue streams; and success factors.

  • Experience in contributing to the assessment of technical risks and priorities associated with project development, in the context of project feasibility and procurement; due diligence; assurance; or monitoring and evaluation.

  • Competent in the delivery of detailed technical analysis in reports and presentations to clients.

  • Capable of working with minimal technical supervision while demonstrating:

    • A high standard of numerical, technical, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.

    • Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities.

    • A high standard of report writing skills which require minimal proof-reading and peer review.

    • A range of report writing and visual and verbal presentation techniques.

    • Capable of working with a diverse range of technical and commercial staff and their outputs.

    • Ability to work under pressure and assimilate and convey information against challenging time constraints.

Responsibilities 

  • Support the bidding and delivery of technical-commercial infrastructure finance advisory services in the water sector (predominantly desalination and wastewater treatment), to include but not limited to providing techno-commercial inputs to PPP and other forms of project or transaction advice and feasibility studies.

  • Carry out technical analyses and assessments for utility scale water infrastructure projects, and develop reports to a high-quality standard, with particular attention to structure, clarity of argument, grammar and presentation.

  • Work with senior members of the Atkins team to appropriately liaise with clients to ensure efficient and effective delivery of service and customer satisfaction throughout the project delivery.

  • Support on a technical capacity other members of Atkins teams to hold client meetings and workshops to facilitate project discussions, present findings and progress project solutions.

  • Ensure that the lead advisor and / or project manager is made aware of all developments on the commission that could influence the commercial and compliance outcomes. 

  • Undertake technical analysis that will lead on preparation and conclusion of technical service propositions to clients.

  • Support the planning and delivery of broader business development opportunities.

  • The ability and willingness to travel and work overseas for short periods of time may be necessary for this role.
