 Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Dimensional survey are carried out on fabrication structures including all fabrication and marine interfaces.
  • Study the applicable contract documents / standards and specific Dimension Control procedure for projects.
  • Ensure Latest Drawings and Calibrated equipments are used.
  • Coordinate with Dc Supervisor, Sr. Surveyor and Fabrication Forman.
  • Liaise with Client representative and Fabrication Forman

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 1+ years’ experience in surveying. 
  • Good knowledge in Survey Instruments (Total Station). Computer literacy and good knowledge in AUTO CAD latest versions.
  • 1year Diploma in Technical Engineering.

What's the role?

The Legal Counsel will support the Regional Head of Legal and Compliance, and the business, through the management of projects and processes to enable the legal department to operate more efficiently. You will provide proactive, in-depth, legal, business-focused advice to the business, as well as implementing initiatives and processes in order to set standards and reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behavior and responsibility across the business, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will provide support in contracts review, corporate matters and compliance topics, including identifying and risks/problematic clauses, and advising the business on the implications of contract provisions.

What does the role involve?

You will be responsible for implementing key legal processes that relate to legal drafting, negotiations, and commercial settlement agreements, reviewing terms and conditions, procurement agreement, supply agreements and distribution agreements. You will ensure contract close-out, extension, amendment, renewal and manage registration and renewals processes, AGMs, resolutions, and amendments of constitutional documents by coordinating with external legal counsels, authorities and government agencies.

The Legal Counsel will develop, control and implement processes for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, data protection laws, internal processes for contract management, supporting or escalating deviations or gaps in contract agreement vis-a-vis company policies. You will require an in-depth understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and applications while being responsible for maintaining up-to-date corporate information by conducting regular updates, improving the systems and processes through a proactive approach

In addition, you will coordinate with other internal teams and business units in respect of all legal and compliance matters and execution of documents. You will manage legal risks within the business by providing legal advice on all legal matters affecting departmental transactions, and providing operational guidance, aiding in the management of litigation issues such as contract disputes and product liability. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing and providing advice to the business upon request on matters concerning applicable contracts required for operation of the business. Finally, you will instruct and assist external legal partners where necessary identifying potential legal risks and assessing the issues impacting legal risk

 Responsibilities

  • The most important requirement for this position is to own the responsibility for design excellence comparable to the highest international standards and, the delivery of these design solutions to the satisfaction of our clients

  • Position requires a well organized and self-sufficient candidate who is able to seek solutions proactively and sometime independently

  • Position carries the responsibility for appraising, understanding, and planning responses for client briefs through all relevant AIA, RIBA or similar stages

  • To conduct themselves professionally at all times and assure client satisfaction of new and existing clients.

  • Report to Head of Department on a regular basis regarding progress, design, quality, resources, changes, site issues, planning issues etc.

  • Responsible for the correctness and accuracy of their own work and all the work of their team.

  • To plan their project production programme, deliverables and available fee at the beginning of each stage, continuously monitor and ultimately achieve their planned and agree targets

Requirements

  • B. Arch or M.Arch with 8-12 years post qualification experience.  UK and USA -based experience would be a highly valued for this position ( pure Architectural background required)

  • Objective evidence of Creative and Passion for design (relevant international awards, exhibitions, lectures)

  • Employment history in leading, architecturally world- renowned practices would be a plus

  • Providing evidence of having had prime responsibility within an internationally renowned project of high complexity and scale in the last 10 years

  • Working knowledge of British and/or American Standards.

  • High degree knowledge of the following software is considered of primary importance for this position:

    • Rhino/ Grasshopper or similar 3d modelling + parametric suit

    • V-ray or similar

    • In Design

  • Knowledge of the following software is considered a plus: AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • RIBA/AIA certification is considered a plus

Job Purpose

The “Renewables & Energy Storage” product sits within the ‘Energy’ Business Line and  covers projects from the inception stage pre-feasibility studies up to project commissioning and completion including Feasibility / Concept Engineering, Detailed Engineering, Owner’s Engineering and Site Supervision and Commissioning services for the sector.

Job Function

Strategy 

  • Contribute to the overall business strategy of the product.

  • Contribute to new business pursuits that expand the project portfolio and enhances the company reputation. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market needs and trends to deploy adequate competencies, services and solutions in the domain.

Leadership 

  • Direct, oversee, and mentor the team and staff complying with all the relevant policies and practices of the company, including development of sustainable practice operations and effective communication channels and supervisory systems.
  • Mobilize, motivate and support the teams to achieve their targets. 
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and regular goal-setting meetings for all staff reporting to the Product Manager.
  • Manage direct and indirect reports and ensure the development of appropriate skills and career development.

Technical and Financial Management

  • Responsible for Overall execution and Technical Performance of the Product.
  • Carrying out Project Management role for selected Projects
  • Preparation of Annual Product Budget & perform based on the approved budget.
  • Ensuring Ethics Compliance & Process compliance as per Company’s Ethics Policy and ISO procedures respectively, both at Head office Teams & Site teams 
  • Training & mentoring the Managers & Engineers of the Product for their effective performance and transformation to changing customer/market need
  • Ensuring Project Performance, monitoring and Budget Control, Invoicing, Cash Collection and Customer satisfaction for all projects within the Product.
  • Conducting Periodic Project meetings, both Internal /External and MIS to management.
  • Active participation in bidding for and acquiring new business/projects and provision of support to Business development in ongoing tenders.

Technical Expertise and Learning

  • Expertise in product for Engineering & Site Services.
  • Revenue and Cash Flow Management for the Business.
  • Lead the Practice efforts to expand the company knowledge base and market by encouraging and facilitating the team activities, including sharing and encouraging the dissemination of project knowledge, experiences and best practices, and facilitating staff and client discussions.

Relationship Building and Business Development 

  • Help to define and prioritize the market, targets and go to market strategy in Tractebel.

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, additional degree in MBA/PGDM will be preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant managerial experience including
  • Significant experience in team management.
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Business Development/project development experience
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function in teams spread across different geographies
  • Ability to lead small or large teams and deliver defined work packages
