Worley is currently looking for an experienced Senior  QA/QC Engineer to be part of our team on a project in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

 
Quality Management


Work with the Construction Team to ensure:

 
• Construction Management Plans and dependent systems and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with the requirements of the WorleyParsons Project Management Process (WPMP) and Enterprise Management System (EMS) consistent with specific location, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Construction personnel are suitably trained in project plan requirements and to access and apply dependent systems, procedures and reference materials via the Project Web Site, EMS, WPMP and the Knowledge Communities as applicable.
• Site inspection personnel (and where applicable their employers) and vendors activities meet OneWay expectations and are undertaken in conformance with applicable WorleyParsons, regulatory and contractual HSE obligations.
• Effectiveness of construction quality planning to ensure that process controls and prerequisite product and service verification and inspection arrangements are established and resourced for the project consistent with criticality, statutory and contractual obligations.

 
• Effective planning and implementation of site design control processes including; design data control, site queries, design change implementation, field engineering and redlining/as-builts etc. and associated verification, validation and review activities.
• Effective implementation and coordination of receiving inspection and disposition of non-conforming materials and equipment.
• Effective implementation and verification of contractor construction inspection and testing activities.
• Effective implementation and verification of inspection and test programs associated with commissioning.
• Compilation, review/approval of construction and commissioning quality records as the basis for mechanical completion and handover of completed work.
• Effective implementation of site non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action management processes.

 
• Establishment of an effective risk based audit program for construction activities.
•  Effectiveness of project management review programs including collection analysis and reporting of project performance measures.

• Participate in the global quality learning community initiative to enable quality professionals to communicate with each other and receive updates on latest developments.
• Support in-house education, promotion and awareness programs relating to sound quality management practice and WorleyParsons quality strategies.
• Facilitate the implementation of existing and new company processes and capability enhancements across the Construction Operations.

 
• Determine areas of potential improvement and, in consultation with the Location/Project Quality Manager and Construction Team facilitate the implementation of improvements to address these areas and evaluate the outcomes of the improvements.
• Facilitate independent review/certification of construction Quality Management Systems in line with Corporate, legislative or customer requirements.
 

 

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Metro Rail , or similar, industry.

• A recognized degree or equivalent qualification/experience

• Experience in the same or similar role, including thorough understanding of the principles and practice of Quality Management and the implementation and improvement of construction quality management systems.

• Demonstrable capabilities in quality planning and resourcing for projects to ensure they are suitably resourced with sufficient and capable quality management expertise.

• Experience in managing a team of quality practitioners.

• Experience in Project/Construction Quality Management.

Supervise the overall day to day, performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the designated onshore project to assist in obtaining maximum productivity, efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation upholding all aspects of compliance and standards and adhering to budget and other applicable criteria

Conduct field verification to determine the preliminary routing of the pipeline and be able to recommend the most economical route.

 • Must be able to study pipeline area classification and determine the required design factor.

 • Must be able to prepare line pipe and pipeline fittings specifications and prepare material purchase requisitions.

 • Must be familiar with the design and specification of scraper trap launcher/receivers, intelligent scraper/pigs, scraper passage indicators and mainline valves.

 • Must be able to lead and give direction to a team of junior engineers and designers to generate or work on pipeline deliverables and drawings. 

 • Must perform miscellaneous pipeline calculations such as pipe road crossing, pipe wall thickness, pipe elastic bending, safety instructions sheet, hydrotest pressure, hydraulic analysis, etc.

 • Prepare pipeline construction scope of work, hydrotest procedure and other necessary pipeline reports.

 

Candidates must be a Mechanical or Civil Engineering graduate with a minimum of ten (10) years engineering and design experience in onshore cross country pipelines used for transportation of Crude  Oil, Refined Products, LPG, NGL and gas including production pipelines transporting sweet, sour crude oil or gas.

Candidate must have a broad knowledge in pipeline related international codes and standards such as API 5l, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8.

Must be computer literate and have hands on experience in CADD software such as Intergraph Microstation, PDS and also AUTOCADD.

Knowledge in use of GPS equipment and in-plant piping design is an advantage as is familiarity with Intergraph SmartPlant software.

Principal Rotating Engineer, Sabic, Jubail, KSA

 JOB SUMMARY

To design and develop PDP and FEED Rotating packages (Pumps, Steam turbines, Large Compressor, Multi-stage compressors, etc.), review and verification of engineering on assigned projects to ensure safe, high quality, fit for purpose design in addition to provide consultancy services and studies to the Affiliates, Mega and Site Projects.

 

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The tasks performed include the following activities:

  • To ensure Rotating engineering is aligned with all disciplines, executing the work within budget and on schedule whilst motivating and managing a team of engineers.
  • Assure that Safety is always the first and the most important aspect all work related activities.
  • Assure full compliance of Process Safety Design requirements for the project
  • Local Regulations  – incorporation of local regulatory requirements into the engineering design
  • SABIC Engineering Standard (SES) – Review, update and development the SES
  • To prepare technical part of Invitation to Bid (ITB) document for SABIC's Mega Projects, and carry out bid review/ evaluation and technical bid clarification activities with bidders, technical evaluation reports, bidder ratings and other bidding cycle activities up to the award of contract.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
  • Review the following:
  • EPC discipline documents and deliverables
  • Basic & detailed engineering documents
  • Key documents such as Rotor dynamics and  other mechanical design Reports
  • Act as Rotating Lead on Medium / Large projects
  • Lead Technical Assurance Audits to ensure that SABIC standards, Local Regulations and project specifications and requirements are followed by the Contractor.
  • Responsible for the following
  • Review, development and approval of the project design, calculations, datasheets and drawings in line with the Rotating engineering requirements of the E&PM Technical Authority Schedule.
  • Delivery, cost, schedule, planning and progress reporting
  • Estimating the required Rotating engineering man-hours for a project
  • Managing Rotating engineer’s utilization and productivity                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          
  • Ensure the timely completion of all studies, designs, specifications, drawings and other documentation for areas of responsibility assigned to him.
  • Ensure no Rotating related NCRs during project life
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments and groups as necessary.
  • Evaluate waivers and clarifications of SES within PE&S KPI Targets
  • On an ongoing basis, examine current Rotating Equipment processes to identify and implement Rotating Equipment improvements that will positively impact upon service, safety, environmental and cost performance.
  • Identify other external best practices, scrutinize if it is feasible before it can become a norm.
  • As required, participate in evaluating client's Rotating Equipment performance and make appropriate recommendation
  • Be responsible for the development, coach and mentor of staff working under his control. Advise the Department Manager of deficiencies requiring training for correction. Transfer his personal skills to subordinates.
  • To be competent in the following areas:
  • Deep knowledge of relevant international codes i.e. API, ASME, ISO, PIP standards and Industrial practices and regulations
  • Capability to interpret Project standards , specifications , analyze exceptions when put up by vendors/contractors and to provide technical and engineering support to rotating equipment issues.
  • Comprehensive and in- depth knowledge is essential for handling of all the activities related to development /review of rotating equipment engineering deliverables during basic and detailed engineering phases of major projects.
  • Experience in preparation of Mechanical Data sheets based on Process data sheets for rotating equipment.
  • Experience in preparation of Request for quotations, Material requisitions , evaluation of Technical offers , project specifications.
  • Experience in selection and application of Rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, Extruders and machinery packages.
  • Capability to review and approve Rotating Equipment design i.e.  Rotor dynamics and other mechanical design Reports.
  • Knowledge in Value Engineering techniques/ practices
  • Troubleshooting all rotating equipment-related malfunctions and shall have core strength to carryout Root Cause Analysis of plant's chronic problems and develop the solution for resolving such problems .
  • Work with vendor technical representatives to resolve equipment technical problems.
  • Preparation of proposal for PDP and FEED
  • Preparing technical articles for publication and presentation at conferences
  • Competencies skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English Language
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, planning, communication, analytical and problem solving skills.                    
  • Good presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Procurement and Logistics: Approve final payment for suppliers and check goods received. Monitor POs validity and issue PRs accordingly (SAP), as well as approve G-Links. In addition, provide support to the logistics team. 

Human Resources: Support HR in administrative work such as employment letters, invitation letters, create and update profiles, issue POs for employees benefits, attesting letters from the Chamber of Commerce, etc.

Finance: Management of Petty Cash including track spending, review invoices, prepare monthly reports, request replenishment, etc.
