Job Purpose

  • Coordinate the participation in external remuneration and benefits surveys and provide the HR Department with benchmark data analysis. Coordinate Global Mobility assignee calculations and monitoring of third party payments including tax payments and agreed services.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

  • The post holder works under the auspices of the Agreements & Market Survey Lead and the Head of Compensation and Policy. 

  • Qatargas operates in a complex HR/Compensation environment. This presents particular challenges in conducting/participating in remuneration surveys and analysis of market data to balance the competitiveness of the package to different markets and nationality demographics.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

  • Coordinate market research of compensation, benefits and allowances, including assessing trends in reward methodologies by participating in local, regional and international compensation and benefits surveys conducted by external agencies. 

  • Analyses international and regional compensation and benefits survey reports and market trends and practices and prepares reports for presentation to HR Management and Company Management showing relevant trends and the Company’s position in relation to the market. 

  • Benchmarks internal jobs/roles through preparing a job list for job matching to external market data provided by third parties.

  • Provides a report of consolidated salary benchmark and survey data provided by external agencies on a biennial basis.

  • Prepares, conducts, analyses and reports on internal compensation surveys both within Qatar and Company global offices.

  • HR Focal Point for all international assignees in relation to determining the individual Foreign Service Allowance for each assignee, monitoring the medical insurance and emergency evacuation contracts and ensuring all international assignees are tax complaint in host location by working closely with international accounting firm.

  • Extensive negotiating with parties regarding provision of information and services and ensuring work is delivered as per requirements and strict adherence to timelines regarding tax matters to ensure the Company remains 100% tax complaint for all international assignees.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

  • Collects data, information, and provides services and support regarding matters related to market surveys, international assignees, Third Party payments and tax compliance, internal and external to the Company.

  • Administer HR Third Party payments process via the SAP system, by creating relevant purchase orders, service entries and by validating service requests submitted by the business to ensure compliance with Agreements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent.

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • 8 years’ HR experience, including 3 years exposure to compensation and benefit surveys and market analysis.

  • Exposure to SAP HR and Purchasing Modules.

IT Operation Engineer, Vodafone, Doha, Qatar

 

Job Description

Role purpose:

The L2 IT engineer will be part of the IT Operations team, managing VFQA IT Nodes Billing/Invoicing/Charging/Reporting/CRM/Order Management/Inventory/Mediation and Channel. Roaming Operations and reporting platforms, maintaining a 24/7 superior network KPIs with high availability of 99.99%, achieving quality leadership in a very competitive market. Being a multi-vendor environment, he/she has to perform vendor management for incident management and SLA negotiations as per the Vodafone policies. IT L2 Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and 2nd level operational support of the IT stack applications.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

  • Expert knowledge of IT call flows and scenarios as per 3GPP, GSMA IR, IEEE and ETSI standards, outstanding troubleshooting skills using internal/external tracing tools, wire shark, etc... 
  • Analyze daily and weekly health checks reports for IT domain and proactively responding to degraded KPIs and alarms within the acceptable SLA limits. 
  • Responsible for maintaining E2E measurement data and network KPIs within agreed OLAs & SLAs, ensuring network reliability and availability with minimal MTTR through promoting strong incident and proactive problem management practices.  
  • Provide on-site level 2 operations and maintenance support when needed, Incident and Problem management, applying proper corrective actions to restore the service.  
  • Manage technical product catalogue (Update, create, delete products in BSS stack)  
  • Backup and restore application and DBs  
  • Do regular patching and software upgrade activities  
  • Create and manage DevOps pipelines  
  • Run Billing and Invoicing cycles  
  • Do Order trouble shooting  
  • Run regular data reporting through CDRs and DB tables  
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) through Major Incident Reviews (MIR) with the Vendors and update KEDB documentations. 
  • Participate in carrying out Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and Major Incident Reviews (MIR).  
  • Develop method of procedures for various IT services and change requests, utilizing automation scripts to simplify operations (Example: Shell, Expect, Python, Perl...).  
  • Deploy & Integrate new nodes, execute & oversee acceptance process (BRM, CRM, UIM, OSM ,OCOMC, OC3C,ECE,Channels, etc...), support IT teams in various projects.  
  • Execute and validate SW bug fixes, release upgrades and expansions.  
  • Responsible for IT Audit, Operational performance, Capacity, Trend, Risk and Gap analysis.  
  • Participate in an on-call Rota and flexible working hours (Night shifts as required) 
  • Do backup and restore for DB and applications

 Key performance indicators  

  • Zero related incidents due to non-standard implementation of security protection and missing notification.  
  • Support customer operations to meet Customer TTs in SLA.  
  • Assure network resilience is in place and trigger action points once we start breaking the resiliency due to traffic increase 
  • Guide and Mentor L1 IT Team

 

Skills

Core competencies, knowledge and experience  

  • Knowledge in Oracle product BRM,CRM,UIM,OSM,OCOMC,OC3C,ECE,Channels,OKVM and any other domain based on the request. Support L2 e etc, with knowledge of Kubernetes  
  • Previous working experience in network operations center (NOC) will be an advantage  
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, Server HW, Architecture, Containerization, Virtualization  
  • Preferably ITIL foundation certified with good understanding of ITIL Service Operation like Incident Management, Problem management etc.  
  • Good background of Oracle DBX stack, Knowledge on RODOD is advantageous.  
  • Basic knowledge on Roaming & interconnect  
  • Good knowledge in Kubernetes and OKVM  
  • Good knowledge on DevOPS tools( Jenkins, Nexus, ELK, Docker)  
  • Good knowledge about Oracle DB and Oracle Linux  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Team player with ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, self-motivated personality and eagerness to learn.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:   

  • Graduate in Telecom/Data/ Computer Networking Engineering or in any relevant domain. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing IT components with telecom networks.  
  • IP knowledge is advantage (CCNA certification)  
  • Knowledge on Telco cloud networking, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and software defined networking (SDN) will be add-on. 
  • Preferably ITIL foundation certified with good understanding of ITIL Service Operation like Incident Management, Problem management etc.

Safety Officer, AECOM, Qatar (6 months assignment)

 Job Summary

  • Serving as the field/project point of contact for SH&E matters.

  • Identify AECOM, Project and Legislative requirements and align stakeholder’s compliance.

  • Conduct daily inspections of contractor’s activities to ensure compliance with contractors SH&E Policies, plans and other obligations.

  • Undertaking daily visual inspections, reporting issues and submitting observation findings to the Contractor, via project reporting system. Follow-up the close-out within established timeframes.

  • Coordinate and attend site SH&E meetings. If required, this may include chairing and recording of meetings.

  • Submit safety inspection reports to the Resident Engineer and/or project leads and engage their support.

  • Review risk mitigation documentation` such as plans, procedures and task specific Safe Work Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

  • Check SH&E requirements in method statements, risk assessments and permit to work procedures submitted by the Contractor and that activities are in line with the safe work methodology.

  • Check appropriate maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety equipment.

  • Check site security, fire, first aid and welfare facilities and procedures appropriate to the works are provided and adequately maintained.

  • Assist in the Investigation of all incidents and near misses and report in accordance with the client requirements and AECOM procedures. Ensure that necessary preventative measures are identified based on the worst potential consequences and that these measures are applied effectively.

  • Set a high personal example of Health & Safety at all items.

  • Upstream report regularly to Project and SH&E Leads

  • Attend risk assessment training. Request other relevant training as appropriate.

Minimum 5 years experience
