Service Engineer, Emerson, Jubail, KSA

Job Description

Service Engineer should have workshop/Field service background and to have previous experience in servicing Emerson Final Control products, Such as: Control valve, Automated, Pressure Management, Actuation and Isolation valves and associated equipment. With a knowledge of the various types of international standards and testing criteria and general knowledge in system and communication used in plant.

Travel within KSA will be required to complete the roles and responsibilities outlined for this position.

Travel outside of KSA may be required on occasion to support the regional service team or to complete training and education requirements

Job Responsibilities

· Perform routine service maintenance tasks in accordance with customer requirements and as directed by designated service lead.

· Calibration, testing and trouble-shooting of Emerson products related to the business unit.

· Perform system start-up and commissioning services as required.

· Assembly of new equipment or repaired equipment in workshop as well field .

· Conduct Customer Service guiding and take ownership for customer co-ordination.

· Complete documentation of repair, testing, assembly activities - cause of failure, actions taken…etc.

· Proactively identify Service / Product opportunities and assist the sales pursuit

· Adhere to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices

· Adherence to all safety, quality, company rules and regulations.

· Participation and involvement in Safety, Quality and Activities Committees where requested.

· Perform any other tasks as and when assigned by the designated local service lead or by any member of the MEA service management team.

Basic Qualifications

Qualified in Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience at valves industry.
Solid technical skills and self-manage to make experienced-based decisions on the job
Clear and effective written and spoken communications in English with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
Willing to travel extensively within KSA and occasionally within the MEA region when requested to do so.
Good documentation & writing skills
Good personal discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer to have experience in fisher valve and Emerson final control products.
Experience with HART and Fieldbus protocol.

Project Overview:

Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete. The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system. Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

SUMMARY:

Sr Structural Engineer to support construction needs of two Deep Underground Stations.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations.
Understands the application of Engineering Department Procedures, relevant Bechtel design guides.
Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
Knowledge of current computer applications for engineering and design including appropriate knowledge of CAD (both 2-D and 3-D), CAE and relevant Bechtel Standard Computer Applications to perform the work.
Understanding of engineering planning and control methods including computerized methods.
Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices and the economics involved.
Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the particular engineering discipline.
Skill in oral and written communication.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates Construction phase of engineering support for Riyadh Metro Project.
Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.
Performs work using Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) and appropriate 2-D and 3-D computer aided design and computer aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools.
Plans, coordinates or prepares equipment or work specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations for equipment.
Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.
Coordinate technical issues with other departments on projects including constructability requirements and reviews.
Plans and coordinates independent work requiring judgment and experience in the application and substantial adaptation of engineering techniques. Devises new approaches to technical problems.
When delegated, assumes a lead technical role over other engineers or project subgroups for completing specific tasks.
Assists in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and provides input for their performance evaluations.
Prepares letters to vendors and clients.
Reviews bid analyses and makes recommendation.
Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
Performs or assists in the performance of problem analysis and original design.
Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.
Reviews and checks work of subordinate engineers.
Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Essential Technical:

Holds a BS in Civil / structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Possesses 6 or more years of direct structural engineering design and analysis experience on building, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
Experience in developing plans and schedules and conducting and coordinating each phase of structural engineering designs for building, transportation, and infrastructure structures including support to construction.

We are currently seeking a Engineering Manager (Bridge/Structural) who will provide expert design management skills to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. This role is responsible for the review of key projects being delivered, development of concept designs in conjunction with the team as required.

Main duties

Provide leadership and proactively collaborate with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables;
Provide expert advice and demonstrate advanced technical skills, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client.
Demonstrate high level project management skills while accomplishing project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner;
Significant active contribution to the commercial success of projects and the team and contributing to successful business development.
Manage the design change process for roads/highways operations
Review design plans for road works and make appropriate changes as necessary for construction.
Provide solutions to technical design challenges.
Determine calculations for engineering
Create or modify roadway highway plans using Civil 3D.
involved in Geometric Design of Highways- Design of horizontal alignment with spirals, vertical profile, roundabout, intersection and interchange design, calculation of earthwork, preparation of detailed cross-sections, preparation of super elevation data, Junctions and Roundabout grading, parking facility, checking maneouvering of vehicles in parking area using Auto-Turn, Signing & Marking and estimation of quantities.
Preparation of Alignments, profile, Corridors Assemblies (Simple and conditional) and Corridors.
Preparation of Signing and Marking layout drawings.
Preparation of Design report, Bill of Quantities and project documents.
Co-ordination with other project related department and site.

The Role:

Perform design analysis, computer simulations, and packaging validation testing of packaging and container designs.
Create and release material and packaging specifications for new products, and changes to existing products.
Collaborate with external standards organizations in packaging to stay informed of new trends and technology that can apply to the organization

Qualifications:

3+ years total in Package Engineering with thorough knowledge of Supply Chain systems and processes.
2+ years of related automotive industry experience.
In depth knowledge of materials, processes, and application of these as used in shipping container and packaging system design.
High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
Demonstrate strong written and oral communications.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Experience in Packaging testing standards (ASTM, ISTA) - Proficient computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and 3D modeling software (i.e., Pro-E).
Bachelor's Degree required, (Master's Degree highly desired), in technical packaging engineering & design or a related engineering field.
Minor or supplemental education in Global Supply Chain highly desired.
