About the job

We are looking for a Dubai-based Social Media Marketing Specialist who will create, promote, advertise and distribute contents for our Companies. The selected candidate will be responsible to engage with our audience on social, build a brand voice and create content that will give high impact to different social media platforms we are available in.


Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

-Plan our brand’s social media strategy

-Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

-Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content

-Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules, considering marketing strategy, web traffic, and customer engagement metrics

-Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

-Work with the Web Developer and SEO Specialist to coordinate content, measurement, and reporting strategies

-Identify influencers and work with them to increase engagement with our brands across social media

-Develop and implement Social Media policies, guidelines, and best practices across the business and systematically enforce them to ensure they are followed on all Corporate and Schools channels, whether managed directly or indirectly

-Define and analyze effective benchmarks through relevant measurement, monitoring & listening tools for measuring the impact of social media efforts in order to determine content effectiveness

-Generate insights and periodical reports of Social Media engagement, performance, user feedback, and online reviews to aid management decisions

-Creation of basic video tours for existing or new properties and participating as the host/speaker

-Learning and expanding company’s reach into other marketing platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, Vkontakte.ru and other platforms as they will be needed

-Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging social media/marketing technologies and benchmark and research competitor and industry leaders in social media


Qualifications:

-Degree in Marketing/ Communications / Public Relations / Digital Media or similar field

-6-7 years of similar experience managing social media content for multiple brands across multiple platforms & channels

-Advanced level of understanding in different social media platforms, content management and analysis

-Top-notch skills in creative copywriting and content management

-Strong ability to think a bigger picture and savvy mind for Marketing

-Highly competitive communications skills

-A good understanding of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics is a plus

-Working quickly without compromising quality

About the team

Careem Pay’s vision is to be the leading digital financial services platform of the region. It’s purpose is to empower people to lead better lives by simplifying their payment experiences and access to financial services. 

As a key member of the Careem Pay team, you will define Careem’s strategy and product roadmap in the blockchain and digital-currency space. This roadmap should support both Careem Pay and the broader set of Careem businesses to make everyday life simpler for our consumers, captains and merchants by embedding progressive technologies into our products and services.

What you'll do

  • Build a view on how Careem can leverage blockchain/crypto to accelerate its journey based on external research and understanding of Careem's vision and ecosystem
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives based on expected impact on Careem's stakeholders (customers, captains, partners)
  • Develop the case for these capabilities and drive leadership alignment on them
  • Develop a view on how to build, buy, or partner to implement the defined strategy
  • Mobilize and oversee the implementation of these initiatives, extraction of learnings from them, and iterating them to PMF
  • Represent this topic internally and externally as the resident expert

What you'll need

  • Domain expertise and/or work experience in blockchain, decentralised finance, and digital currencies/tokens
  • 5-10 years of functional work experience in strategy development or product management -- requirement would in part be driven by time spent in the crypto space
  • Ability to drive cross-functional and cross-vertical project management and alignment
  • Proven ability to self-start with limited upfront information and problem-definition
  • Comfortable with continuous engagement with C-level and Senior Leadership while also owning the details

JOB PURPOSE

Coordinating with Business Units across the Group for the supply of assigned category of spend. Manage the transaction cycle from taking quotations to issue of PO.

  • Basic operating knowledge of software such as: MS Office, SAP and ARIBA P2P
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
