Land Surveyor

Parsons is seeking a candidate with a desire to enhance the fabric of our community. The Land Surveyor works in the field as part of our construction supervision team performing various surveying activities.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Land Surveyor plans, organizes, and directs work of one or more survey parties engaged in surveying earth's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, or other purposes:

  • Researches previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. Develops new data from photogram metric records. Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control. Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. Coordinates findings with work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with project.

  • Locate in the field: In the field, locate rights-of-way, topographic features, property lines, corners and boundaries. Coordinate Region control surveys.

  • Document management system: Search for, analyze, and arrange to obtain historical survey records and maps and develop methodologies to incorporate these records into a document management system.

  • Permit for survey corner destruction: Approve and issue permits for the temporary removal or destruction of survey corners

  • Field survey maps: Draft, check, file and distribute maps prepared that depict the results of the field surveys.

  • Coordinate critical projects: Coordinate unusually critical or complex projects, which usually involve the use of electronic measuring instruments and a large party.

  • Survey, marine: Coordinate and conduct surveys to establish tidelands, shorelands, and harbor areas.

  • Compute & plot survey data: Participate in computation and plotting of survey data.

  • Survey contracts: Develop procedures and specifications for statewide survey contracts and agreements; administer and approve contract surveys.

  • Approve plots & sites: Approve all right-of-way plots and electronic communication sites submitted to or created by the department for correct technical data and proper form.

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Diploma.

  • Min of 10 postgraduate years of experience and a min. of 5 years of similar work experience on large infrastructure projects

  • Regional experience is preferred.

  • Can undertake complex technical support with no supervision tasks such as drafting, graphic design, engineering support, site inspections, IT network administration, document control, KPI computation

Job Description

You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office, maintaining Front Office and brand standards and maximizing the quality level of products and services to achieve the highest guest satisfaction. This will include managing the performance of the team members: designing, implementing and monitoring the impact of training (including IT systems and guest service procedures) for all Front Office team members, capturing and implementing best current practice SOPs relating to Front Office operation. Manage the functioning of all departmental team members, facilities, sales and costs, to ensure maximum departmental profit. Drive the implementation of all sales and promotional programmes of the property, taking personal responsibility for driving upselling and ensuring the team has the most up to date knowledge of the property.

Senior Sales Engineer - Automotive Replacement, Gates, Dammam, KSA

 As a Senior Sales Engineer you are responsible for:

  1. Responsible for planning, follow-up and development of the sales actions and activities to existing and prospective customers in Saudi Arabia
  2. Assists Distributors in handling Gates product lines. Responsible for the achievement of sales goals and assuring market penetration for all Gates Product Divisions/Markets (Automotive Aftermarket). 
  3. Responsible for all aspects of jobbers, garages and distributor follow-up and for all administrative related activities.
  4. Works with customers on purchasing and technical level to discuss problem areas or business opportunities
  5. To create an awareness of Gates E & S amongst clients and potential customers by providing information on Gates" product range, expertise in providing solution
  6. Understands all aspects of the market and competition. Translates strategies into market specific actions to support the Gates brand and market shares. Market studies are essential to define the right actions.
  7. Responsible for maintaining good commercial relations with Gates customers/prospects and providing them all commercial and technical information to help them to achieve sales budgets.
  8. Provide good Interface between the company & distributors for all required information
  9. Identify distributor requirements and offer Gates E & S scope of supply and explore new areas of business development. Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through effective customer service, technical assistance & prompt after sales service.
  10. In case of contracts to read, interpret & understand all requirements of the customer.
  11. Reports directly to the Geomarket Manager KSA
  12. Managing the expenses related to the assigned budget. 
  13. Implements Gates" sales methods at customers
  14. Performs market studies upon request and collects the required data related to competitive activities. 
  15. To ensure that all company procedures are followed with regard to raising and processing of sales invoices.
  16. Liaise with Supply Chain & Purchasers to manage the appropriate stocking levels (inventory) to ensure that client orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  17. Recommend, develop and maintain the customer database, Daily reports, and Competitors activity in the computer system
  18. Recommend to maintain all opportunities in correct stages so as to have correct information with management to achieve company objectives.
Required Experience:
  1. Requires technical or commercial (with technical background) degree
  2. Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in the similar type of function.
  3. Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize the activities.
  4. Ability to work under own initiative and solve problems.
  5. Experience in managing a customer account and distributors
  6. Must have strong selling skills: previous experience highly preferred.
  7. Willingness to work a flexible work schedule.
  8. Ability to resolve common problems and concerns of customers in a professional manner.
 
Required Skills:
  1. Experience in communicating with a variety of groups/customers at different knowledge levels; strong presentation skills
