As a Drilling Services Application Engineer, you will ensure Baker Hughes can deliver flawless execution through involvement in pre-planning, Job execution and post-job analysis.

As an Applications Engineer - Drilling Services , you will be responsible for:

·       Working with assigned Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesman to understand the client's well construction or production objectives as well as the commercial terms for Baker Hughes(i.e. outcome based contract, line item contract)

·       Performing offset/similar job analysis to understand application hazards and incident potential

·       Designing a Job program, including risk mitigation plans and contingency plans, that can meet the client's objective and maximize revenue potential and future job assignments for Baker Hughes.

·       Working with the Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesman to ensure any risk of meeting the client's objective is communicated to the client using the appropriate channels

·       Comparing job as-planned versus job as-executed and document any lessons learned to ensure opportunity for continuous improvement

·       Participating in incident investigation when required, ensuring end to end process, from job planning, preparation and execution is considered to determine the incident root cause and drive appropriate corrective actions.

·       Have a Bachelor's in Engineering.

·       Have 5+ year of experience in application engineering in Drilling Services

·       Have thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements

·       Have problem-solving, process improvement, analytical and leadership skills.

Your Role – International, Challenging and Future-Oriented!

The job holder is responsible for providing a single point of contact (key account function for all real estate related topics on country level) and thought leadership for SRE related matters in Saudi Arabia. This is achieved through day-to-day contact with local Business Management; external contacts and SRE management. He/she carries overall responsibility for the SRE portfolio, SRE’s financial result and SRE employees. Will also represents the SRE stakeholder in terms of SRE global strategy and business mandate.

The role will have direct reports to the SRE Regional Head MEA and to the in-country Executive Management

·       Senior contact partner for all real estate related topics within the country: Representation of SRE interests with all business contacts

·       Adherence and implementation of the general agreement between SRE and RC. Securing of approvals and reporting to SRE MEA Regional Head, Regional Company Management and Operating Companies.

·       Entrepreneurial management of real estate business: Provision of space and services at market conditions in line with SRE’s business structure.

·       Development and implementation of space concepts for customers in cooperation with SRE MEA. Definition and controlling of maintenance programs.

·       Driving continuous improvement of real estate costs for internal customers

·       Development & realization of the country real estate strategy in coordination with SRE MEA Regional Head

·       Management of real estate business according to the SRE HQ Standards & Processes and SRE MEA Country Targets

·       Managing and Sourcing SRE’s related services in cooperation with SCM Department as well as steering and controlling of Suppliers

·       Organization and people development in coordination with SRE MEA including the Management and coaching of the SRE country organization

·       Ensure legal ownership representation to local authorities and total adherence to local statutory regulations and local laws

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid!

·     Academic degree in Engineering or Management ideally with Real Estate focus

·     3-7 years’ experience with at least three years of the following real estate fields: Asset Management, Portfolio Management, Project Management with previous managerial responsibility for several direct reports, with the ability to take on additional assignments over time; hands on approach

·     Expert knowledge of Real Estate market in the country as well as its mechanisms

·     Customer oriented with capably of operating and liaising at all levels including Managerial, Operational and Technical skills

·     Expert knowledge in multiple corporate real estate disciplines, e.g. Asset Management, Property Management, Facility Management, and Procurement of Real Estate Services & Legal aspects, Vendors & Service Providers, and External landlords & leases

·     Proven commercial skills within the areas of budgeting, Forecasting and Savings

·     Knowledge in Strategic RE Management, Location Concepts, Construction, RE Development and RE Property Purchase, Lease and Sale Proceeding, Contract Management, Business Administration and Project Management

·     Team Management skills and organizational development; ability to organize and manage the activities with excellent team player, communication skills and cooperation with external partners/teams

·     Experience in a managerial role responsible for several direct reports, with ability to take on increasing responsibility over time, hands on approach

·     Complementary Trainings, Education, Certifications in the financials and/or business administration is of an advantage

·     Fluent in English and Arabic; additional languages are a bonus /beneficial

Responsibilities

·         Manage the UOP service relationship with customers in region

·         Build strong relationships with each customer’s personnel across several levels of the organization

·         Become knowledgeable of each customers’ refinery/plant configuration, processing goals and strategies

·         Determine how UOP products and services might be applied to meet customers' processing goals

·         Collaborate and Support CSO business to meet service financial targets.

·         Oversee all customer service interactions with UOP and ensure necessary agreements are in place.

·         Visit customers’ sites regularly for in-depth discussions and consultation on current operations, process performance, and any other issues relating to UOP technology transfer. Proactively engage customers to obtain and/or review operating data to enable value added technical support

·         Manage the troubleshooting efforts for the assigned customer base with the help of UOP’s Technical Service Department personnel as necessary to ensure that timely, accurate and effective support is provided to maintain overall customer satisfaction

·         Support new unit start-up and catalyst reload activities, determine and coordinate work scope and schedule for UOP site-support

·         Work closely with UOP CSO counterparts to share customer intelligence and develop specific strategies to target, win and retain future business, as well as prospecting for new business opportunities

·         Promote the development of the UOP in-country service presence by support of activities such as, but not limited to, mentoring of new locally hired CDP engineers, and development of UOP training products and facilities in country

·         Work with customers and legal to draft and finalize the applicable service agreements

·         Assist in collection of receivables

·         Prepare meeting and activity reports and maintain customer account plans and SFDC.

·         Assist in preparation of, and participate in, UOP Regional Technical Symposia and Sales Meetings

Qualifications

·          Bachelor's degree in business, science or Chemical engineering.

·         Significant experience in Refining and/or Petrochemicals and/or Gas Industries Experience within a technical role, with some exposure to direct sales. Candidates with strong exposure to Hydroprocessing and Reforming technologies would be preferred.

·         Ability to manage and influence others with a demonstrated capability to collaborate with people and organizations while driving results.

·         Able to collaborate with cross business-units to prioritize actions and resources.

·         Provide timely and concise information to others and using clear and thoughtful oral and written communications to influence, negotiate and collaborate effectively.
