Responsibilities:

  • Performs engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

  • Assist seniors in completing design work and production of drawings of complex and large size projects.

  • Be able to develop and check structural schemes including comparisons of alternatives and prepare concept design reports;

  • Be able to prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams;

  • Be able to produce comprehensive, accurate and professional structural calculations.

  • Develop design details (manually and in CAD) for production of drawings.

  • Willing to learn new tools such as BIM and model structures using these tools.

  • Be able to independently & objectively check works produced by another design team member.

Qualifications:  

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university

  • Minimum 10 years experience working on Theme Park/Entertainment/Leisure  Projects

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural engineering team.

  • Commitment to safe work practices

  • Ability to coordinate and meet with the Designers, Contractor’s and Authorities.

Synopsis

Control the entire cargo network (For the allocated region) pricing, customer capacity allocations and route demand forecasts; in order to achieve Etihad Cargo revenue plan 

Accountabilities

•    Setting a seasonal pricing strategy for the region in co-ordination with the regional commercial team; considering the forecasted market conditions and Etihad Cargo business plan. Set the prices by flow, rate type, customer and product. Identifying the need for tactical pricing promotions.
•    Evaluate and decide on the allocations to be granted on the flights considering; flow of business, customer, product and network optimization.
•    Governance and performance tracking of the prices and capacity allocations.
•    Support and challenge the regional commercial teams to achieve their target.
•    Research and analysis of the regional market using different sources of data both internal and external including regional commercial feedback. Based on the analysis provide sales teams with opportunities to pursue to increase contribution; by increasing load-factor, price and or mix of business.
•    Adhoc rate evaluation and approval; considering the latest trends and shipment requirements. Ensuring the basis of the evaluation is optimizing the contribution for Etihad Cargo.
•    Route Analysis – monitoring routes and analyse the performance. Identifying and taking appropriate action so as to ensure load factors are kept at an optimum with the best mix of business. This will include; influencing the Revenue Management system so that the latest trends and forecast are reflected and development of initiatives to improve performance. Tracking the performance of the changes.
•    Construct pricing proposals for participation in Customer global tenders. Guide the commercial management team on the negotiation stance for the meeting. Propose innovative tradeoffs to make it a win – win for both customer and Etihad. Performance tracking of the tender awards.
•    Working in cross-functional groups to support; new product launches, strategic business initiatives and system enhancements.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree 
•    Two years of revenue management, operations, or related experience 
•    Sound knowledge in the application of revenue management principles, Pricing methodologies and modelling, Cargo Revenue Management Systems, Flight Planning

The position of the IELTS Officer supports the role of the LSC Registrar who is responsible for the secure and professional delivery of IELTS tests for the IDP: IELTS test centre, AE109 at UOWD and offsite testing locations in UAE.

In conjunction with the LSC Registrar, the IELTS Officer has a significant role and set of responsibilities directly related to all facets of test day preparation and delivery of the IELTS Test in Dubai and specifically at the offsite test locations.

Experience & Qualification:
Essential:
  • Relevant post-secondary level qualification

  • IWAS\IAM Certified

  • 2 years minimum relevant experience

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the institutional structure of UOWD and IELTS would be an advantage.
  • Preferably have experience in working on IWAS\IAM 
Essentail and Desirable Criteria:

ESSENTIAL

  • Proficient office management skills including computer technology: MSWord, database systems, share drives.

  • A high level of personal and professional integrity and confidentiality in handling test information and materials.

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.

  • Adhere to procedural requirements with an eye for detail.
