Strategy Analyst, Dubai Government Media Office. Dubai, UAE

 Job Description

 

General Responsibilities:

 Participates in the development and implementation of the Strategy and Planning section plans and budgets, in line with organizational objectives.
 Acts upon the Strategy and Planning section mandates, ensuring effective work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
 Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Strategy and Planning.

Research and Analysis Support:

 Gathers and analyses internal and external data and information relevant to GDMO’s operations to facilitate effective decision making.
 Conducts primary and secondary research to source information from public sources and industry databases using various methods to recommend new opportunities.
 Provides research and analysis on best practices and trends among peer organizations.
 Develops analytical models and tools to support required financial, operational and strategic analyses.
 Reviews and recommends improvements in GDMO’s business processes, systems, policies and procedures.
 Provides ad-hoc strategic and operational analyses as required.

Planning and Implementation Support:

 Proposes and maintains the strategic planning schedule and facilitates meetings to enable effective planning.
 Facilitates the formulation, periodic review and approval of GDMO’s mission, vision statements, core values, objectives, KPIs and initiatives.
 Cooperates with finance to enable effective planning and control of implementation of organizational objectives.
 Designs strategic planning templates and presentations to promote standardization and consistency according to GDMO’s standards and methodologies.
 Designs business and process tools to define as well as measure, develop and communicate goals, objectives, strategy, financial targets, and metrics for the organization.
 Cooperates with external parties including other relevant Government entities to ensure that GDMO’s plans are aligned with the local and national Governments’ objectives.
 Reviews the GDMO’s annual financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process and recommends and implements improvements to the processes.
 Provides necessary reporting on the state and progress of planning processes.

Performance Management Operational Support:

 Participates in the design and implementation of feedback and measurement systems to assure implementation of plans at all levels of the organization.
 Reviews and validates GDMO’s long term strategic business plans and short term plans in the perspective of media industry trends to provide recommendations for improving performance.
 Monitors the performance of the various departments to identify potential solutions for improving their effectiveness
and efficiency.
 Conducts root cause analysis based on conclusions from comparing GDMO’s performance with objectives and vision.
 Participates in policy development in the area of performance management.
 Recommends modifications to objectives and recommends new, challenging objectives based on review of current
performance and industry trends.

Project Management and Delivery Support:

 Supports planning and delivery of performance–related projects and change management/transformation initiatives.
 Identifies industry initiatives that GDMO could support (including leadership programs for local media and
Government–sponsored education programs).
 Provides recommendations for allocation of resources for projects and provides information to support project-related
decision making.

Strategic Support:

 Provides regular information and inputs as required to support the work of DG Office and Internal Audit.
 Supports communication of strategic plan and objectives to the staff.
 Provides coaching support to the staff on matters of performance management, including the design of KPIs and
initiatives.
 Cooperates with the Human Resources Section to develop a performance-oriented culture across GDMO.
 Facilitates department reviews and supports actions on new and emerging challenges.

Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Head of Strategy and Planning in order to meet section
objectives.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
 Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred

Skills:

 Good analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills

 Good decision making skills
 Excellent business acumen and understanding of business models
 Experience in working with business partners at all levels of management
 Good organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Insurance Claims Specialist, Alfardan Medical Center, Qatar

Position Summary:

 

The Insurance Claims Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

 

The Insurance Claims Specialist under the direction of the Revenues Cycle Lead will be generally responsible for insurance claims submissions and resubmissions (appeal) based on the agreed contract with each payer in the region.

Key Role Responsibilities:

 

The position holder will be responsible for the below:

SUBMISSIONS:

·         Reviews accuracy and completeness of information requested and ensure that all supporting documents are present

·         Receives requests for pre-authorizations and ensure that they are properly and closely monitored

·         Consults with supervisor or nurse manager to obtain clearance that treatment regimen is considered a medical necessity

·         Processes referrals and submit medical records to insurance carriers to expedite prior authorization processes

·         Manages correspondence with insurance companies, physicians, specialists and patients as required

·         Looks through denials and submit appeals in a bid to get them approved from insurance companies

·         Creates patients’ records and accounts and ensure that pre-authorization information is properly updated in them.

·         Secures patients’ demographics and medical information by using great discretion and ensuring that all procedures are in sync.

 

RESUBMISSIONS:

·         Checks and download the XML Remittance Advice from payer and follow up for any missing remittance advice.

·         Analyzes the rejection from the XML remittance Advice.

·         ending the rejected claims for the respected doctors for justifying the claims if necessary and follow up with the doctors within the specified time

·         Prepares rejected claims for resubmission

·         Makes sure that the final rejection is at its minimal level.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

 

Experience required:  

·         1-2 years’ experience in submission and Resubmission services at clinic or hospital facility in the Region

·         Usage and Basic Knowledge of (ICD 10 AM/CM with CPT and HCPCS)

·         Previous experience with usage of medical terminologies.

·         Previous experience of communication with all the payers /TPA in the region. 

Skills required:

·         Ability to project a professional image, strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements, working knowledge of medical business office procedures and basic accounting, and detailed understanding of ICD-10AM and CPT is important for an individual wanting to work as a prior authorization specialist.

·         Follow up with physician on queries related to medical necessity rejections

·         Maintains level of efficiency in support of timely submission and resubmission deadlines.

·         Meets established minimum productivity and quality standards for each claim.

·         Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers.

·         Collaborate with other departments to assist in obtaining pre-authorizations in a cross functional manner, if required.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Excellent networking, organizational and time management skills.

·         Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.

·         Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues across all levels.

·         Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving customer issues.

·         Demonstrates attention to detail and monitors own work for accuracy.

·         MS office and MS excel skills required

·         Fluent English speaker. Knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage although not essential.

·         Able to work in shifts, weekends and on public holidays with extended hours based on work requirements.

 

Preferred Experience:

Understanding of healthcare industry preferred.

·         Excellent project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. 

·         Must have exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.

·         Highly motivated and proactive, with a “can-do” attitude.

·         Proven experience working in a team-oriented environment.

A Front Office Supervisor assists in management of daily Front Office operations and works with customers and Guests as part of a project used to demonstrate capabilities required in the hotel management sector.


What will I be doing?

As Front Office Supervisor, you will assist in management of daily Front Office operations and work with customers and Guests. A Front Office Supervisor is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Supervise the efficient operations of reception including check in/out procedures
  • Support team members in handling guest requests and enquires to ensure a positive outcome is achieved
  • Ensure that both the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
