The Strategy and Development group maps out where we’re going, what that means, and what it looks like. Our Research team analyses the industry so that we’re never playing catch-up and have an insight to expected trends and passenger forecasts. The group translate strategies into plans and projects.  Research are responsible for the overall airport capacity for both DXB and DWC, this includes seasonal capacity declaration through to long term future capacity requirements based on insights from the Forecasting team. The wider Strategy and Development group creates the strategy so that we’re agile enough to respond in a fast-evolving industry.

What you’ll deliver

  • You will be responsible for all of our analytical activities associated with the Forecasting Team and Aviation Business Development department which includes: Traffic Forecasting (Tactical through to long term), Aeronautical Revenue Forecasting, Air Service Development Analysis, Historical data Reporting, Cargo Air Service and General Aviation development.
  • You’ll be managing critical research to support the business, covering forecasting and customer insights
  • You’ll be responsible for business development targets and tactical plans to retain, improve and expand air service
  • You will continuously work with the team to develop and integrate the overall airport market development strategy
  • In summary, you will manage the annual forecasting, lead analysis for expansion purposes and act as an interface for revenue optimization projects

 

What you bring

  • You’ll be educated to Degree level in a relevant business discipline such as Commerce
  • You should have at least 6 years’ experience at a major airport or airline
  • You’ll have comprehensive experience of forecasting, network planning and air service development
  • Advanced expertise within Excel and PowerPoint is essential

The Role

You will have the following responsibilities:
•    Help the HR Services Lead to provide day to day support and guidance to the HR CEEMEA team
•    Workforce administration for assigned offices/segments
•    HR Process design or adaptation in accordance with our global common model
•    Support HR business process owners with documentation of processes
•    Work with the HR Services Lead to enhance Human Resources technology solutions to create efficiency and productivity gains, optimize resources and enhance the colleague and candidate experience
•    Perform HR transactions in all applicable HR systems, answering HR and employees/managers inquiries and process requests according to specific guidelines 
•    Deliver internal workshops and provide training to colleagues around HR processes and HR systems
•    Participate in ad-hoc projects as and when required
•    Take minutes and follow up on action items for meetings
•    HR Administration for the UAE and Saudi offices:
o    Review and produce employment contracts 
o    Draft standard correspondence throughout the employee life cycle such as confirmation of employment, changes to terms and conditions or salary certificates
o    Maintain hard & soft copy colleagues files, ensuring these are up-to-date and accessible to other members of the HR team when required
o    Serve as the primary contact for HR systems questions and/or issues
o    Responsible for administering absences, benefits and medical & life insurance for the assigned offices
o    Update and maintain employee handbooks. 
o    Partner with Payroll regarding changes in information or data inaccuracy for all Middle East colleagues    
o    Create and distribute data management reports 
o    Organize onboarding trainings for new colleagues
o    Assist in the tailoring HR communications to local business according to cultural needs (e.g., welcome emails)
o    Coordinate with local Office Services, Finance, and other Corporate colleagues as needed
 

 

 

The Requirements

  • Prior experience in a HR administrator role (with a focus on managing data entries in HR systems) will be appreciated
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English
  • Ability to multi-task and to be a resourceful and effective problem solver with attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Strong Administration Skills
  • Ability to work independently and function well in a team and matrix structure
  • Technical proficiency with HR databases and Microsoft applications
