RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles such as MRP, Inventory planning & control.
  • Monitor the movement of materials and maintain inventory levels.
  • Responsible for handling aging inventory and work with other locations and distribute where the material is in demand.
  • Manage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Reviewing the Price, Lead time, and all other MRP attributes as required so that the system is kept up to date.
  • Address demand-related issues in timely and effective manner.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV company and HSE policies and procedures.

  • Have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar field.

Senior Nuclear Specification Engineer, Nawah Energy Company, Barakah, UAE

 

Job Description

Develop and implement the Nuclear Procurement Engineering (NPE) processes, policies and procedures, and provide technical support across core engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control) in performance of NPE activities.

Catalogue Development

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:  

  • Develop and maintain component Bill of Materials to ensure procurement readiness.
  • Develop and maintain all NPE data including material masters in SAP to enable efficient inventory queries.
  • Identify and catalogue critical spares to ensure all materials are accounted for in the inventory. 
  • Review data collection and cleansing processes in NPE to validate fidelity of records.

Product Development

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Review NPE evaluation results for material and services to determine the safety class, technical and quality requirements, and storage requirements for generic specifications, to enable efficient replacement of high volume inventory. 
  • Review the critical characteristics, verification method, and acceptance criteria for commercial grade dedication of items for use in nuclear applications to ensure they meet nuclear criteria.
  • Verify Item Equivalency Evaluation results on alternate replacement items for obsolete plant components and parts to assess validity of proposed replacements.
  • Verify and perform cost savings efforts by using technical expertise to identify technically equivalent alternate procurement strategies.

Supply Chain Support

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Assess technical discrepancies identified during material receipt inspection and implement resolutions to ensure operational excellence.
  • Provide input into critical characteristics and technical criteria to Quality Assurance (QA) Division to support supplier evaluations and commercial grade surveys.
  • Participate as technical expert in support of vendor audits and surveillances to meet quality standards.
  • Identify and disposition of counterfeit, fraudulent, and suspect items to ensure quality.
  • Assess bid evaluations and supplier deviations identified during contract procurement phase and implement resolution to minimize supplier risk and reduce costs.
  • Conduct plant walk-downs to identify plant components and obtain information needed to support accurate procurement.

Design Engineering Support

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Perform reverse engineering across core disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls disciplines) as needed to identify replacement options in support of Design Engineering. 
  • Support design change across core disciplines as needed and act as an NPE expert when interfacing with Design Engineering.

Continuous Improvement

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Develop, update and implement NPE procedures and processes to ensure adherence to standards during implementation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform special assignments in support of the continual improvement of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) NPE process.
  • Perform benchmarking of industry leaders to improve NPE processes.
  • Perform self-assessments of NPE processes and performance to ensure compliance with procedures and identify gaps to industry best practices.
  • Provide support for NPE audits by internal and external QA organizations to ensure organizational excellence.

Health and Safety and Security

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Follow all relevant company’s Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance in all aspects of work as per sound management practices. Apply these policies and procedures to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health and safety of the employee; the environment; and various individuals who may be affected by the employee’s acts or omissions at work.

Inventory Manager, VRAI, Dubai, UAE

The Inventory Manager is responsible for demand planning and managing all finished jewelry, polished diamonds and packaging inventory. The role will manage all aspects of inventory across all VRAI showroom locations, 3PL, diamond polishers and vendor partners with strong cross-departmental partnerships between merchandising and production teams. 

Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all polished diamond, jewelry, packaging and other inventory at VRAI; including VRAI showrooms and corporate locations, and vendor partners.
    • Own demand planning and work with diamond polishers to secure right inventory at the right time
    • Own monthly and weekly inventory counts and reconciliations across locations.
    • Ensure inventory is tracked accurately, transactions are timely, and that inventory is reflected in the system correctly to avoid unnecessary adjustments.
    • Manages the integrity of inventory data utilizing ERP systems.
    • Work to continuously better the cross-departmental tracking between the diamond fulfillment and production teams. 
    • Assists in the transfer/moving merchandise between the global inventory locationsOversee inventory cycle counts across all VRAI locations and partners.
    • Collaborate with merchandising manager to align inventory levels.
    • Partner with vendors, and production and product development teams to ensure diamonds, findings and packaging are properly allocated for Made to Order and bulk orders.
    • Support PR and marketing on PR opportunities, new eCommerce partners, as well as influencer gifts and giveaways.
    • Manage returns back into the system as stock or loose diamonds as needed.
    • Monitor and track damaged stock levels with the diamond team.

Qualificatons:

    • 5+ years in an inventory and demand planning role with specific experience in multi-category, multi-channel tracking of unique and bulk SKUs.
    • Experience within the jewelry industry and managing polished diamonds is a must
    • Materials management experience or equivalent combination in leading and managing manufacturing/supply chain organizations.
    • Knowledge of and experience working with an ERP system to maintain inventory (NetSuite preferred).Experience in accounting reconciliation and vendor management.
    • Demonstrated Project Management skills
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience developing, implementing and communicating new processes and tools

About the Role

  • Ensure there is a greeter at the entrance to handle yellow bags to all the customers.

People Management and Development

  • Motivate and support the team to achieve their objectives by ensuring they understand the company business plan and objectives. 
  • Be Train the Trainer for the department and ensure all the co-workers in the department are trained in Product Knowledge, customer service training, Concept training, H&S trainings

Assistant Technician - Chillers & Plants (Mechanical), Serco, Dubai, UAE

 The Job Opportunity

The purpose of the role is to carryout preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on various types of chillers individually or as part of a technical team, within a designated area whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the operations.

Key accountabilities

  • Ability to work in harsh outdoor conditions (cooling towers maintenance)
  • Ability to use automatic tubes brushing equipment and pressure washers
  • Ability to use refrigerant vacuum pumps and refrigerant recovery machines
  • This position requires a very good level of spoken and written English.                       
  • Ability to perform safely and correctly the following on Refrigeration equipment and systems:
    • Electrical /Mechanical Isolations and LOTO
    • Planned preventative maintenance (PM) routines
    • Corrective maintenance (CM)
    • Breakdown maintenance (BD)
  • Inspect, diagnose and perform major and minor repair work on chillers, motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, valves and related equipment. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, engines and compressors.
  • Able to correctly setup and use Mechanical test equipment and interpret the test results to include
    • Manifold Gauge
    • Vibration Analyzer
    • Clamp Meter
    • Temperature / Humidity Meter
    • Vacuum Gauge
    • Refrigeration Leak Detector
  • Knowledge in the use & interpretation of Local and International Mechanical Standards and Regulations.

  • Holding of valid UAE driving license is desirable.                                       
  • Must have minimum three (3) years' experience within chiller repair related environment or similar and preference for those with experience in central & district cooling plant equipment maintenance.
  • Should be fluent in written and spoken English and have ability to communicate with staff, stakeholders and customers in oral and written English.
  • Should have working knowledge in Ms Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint, Outlook) etc.
