The position


As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be accountable for implementing competitive talent acquisition strategy devised by the global team for the affiliate and ensuring that the talent acquisition needs are met. You will be responsible for a strategic approach and as a subject matter expert, independently drive talent acquisition activities for the assigned business units. Your focus will be Saudi Arabia & UAE affiliate. However, depending on capacity, multiple geographies may be assigned to you.

 

You will investigate and determine talent needs in partnership with department managers and execute the agreed upon plan for recruitment and onboarding during the year, that will contribute to the long-term growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard recruiting processes. You are required to perform analysis of hiring needs and provide employee hiring forecast.

 

As a member of the centre of excellence, you will implement innovative recruitment practices, plan, and execute global employer branding activities, representing Novo Nordisk Saudi Arabia & UAE employer brand to external vendors and candidates. In addition to the above, you will ensure the compliance with local employment laws and alignment with global TA guidelines.

 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for a candidate with a University degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Sociology or similar and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a multinational environment. You have extended experience of handling different levels of managerial recruitment and running graduate and entry level campaigns as well.

 

  • The successful candidate has In-depth experience using behavioural interviewing techniques and assessment tools and is capable to think strategically and apply analytical skills to the organizational level.

 

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, can take initiatives, work independently, you clearly show the ability to gain trust from all stakeholders operating in a global matrix. Also, because of the primary market in your scope, you need to be fluent in both written/spoken English and Arabic.

 

  • Knowledge of any additional language will be advantageous, and you will have the chance to use it, according to capacity and business needs. You are result-oriented and driven with a flexible attitude, being mobile in the national territory and international as well.
    Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work when the pressure is on.

 Job Overview:

Ensures that there is alignment between people strategies and the existing business' policies and procedures, updating each as required. The employee will work closely with the HR Director in developing and applying changes to the various strategies required by the function, and in line with the goals of the business. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Project specific HR Representative
  • Plays a major role in the management of varied projects throughout the business, actively participating in projects teams, and implementing initiatives while simultaneously ensuring proper communication and collaboration within the allocated functions and with the HR Team.
  • Member of the Project Leadership team reporting operationally to the Executive Project Director, and functionally reporting to Area Human Resources Director
  • Accountable for recruitment liaison with wider ME Talent acquisition group
  • Resource planning and demobilization, including placing/relocating management roles
  • Utilization of HR systems in support of Project and wider McDermott Business within Qatar
  • Facilitating and driving goal setting, performance management and talent development plans
  • Management of staff and contractor rates including coordination of annual reviews in accordance with EMEA and Company requirements
  • Point of contact for all HR matters for entire project team of 360+ employees (at peak)

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Be capable of performing standard analyses on existent people management policies and programs and drawing actionable solutions and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Have an ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and be able to be discreet when dealing with confidential information.
  • Have an ability to form strong connections with others, earning their trust, and hence being able to influence even in the highest-level management in the business.
  • Must also be self-motivated, be proactive going beyond the call of duty and have a keen eye for detail.
