• To assist the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the Housekeeping operations, including the Laundry and the Internal Communication Center, ensuring that the hotel standards and procedures are fully known and followed.
• To ensure that all the rooms are prepared and inspected as per standards and according to guest requests and needs, including the Turn Down service.
• To ensure that the flower decorations in the rooms and public areas are always maintained as per the required standards.
• To ensure the up keeping of all the front of the house, including the hotel entrance.
• To ensure the up keeping of all the designated heart of the house areas.
• To check regularly the night shift for cleaning.
• To ensure appropriate stock level for the smooth run of the Housekeeping and to approve requisitions accordingly.
• To ensure that the inventories of linen, uniforms and other applicable items are done and recorded as scheduled.
• To supervise the Pest Control service as per established areas and schedules.
• To implement housekeeping related HACCP procedures.
• To be involved in sustainable development and to apply energy and waste management.
• To supervise cost control and to suggest saving programs.

• To ensure all linen and uniform management and handling procedures are respected.
• To implement Focus and other financial procedures.
• To supervise and control Lost and Found, maintain records and mail packages to clients.
• To be aware of all VIPs visiting or staying in the hotel.
• To personally inspect VIP rooms.
• To make regular room and public area inspections.
• To follow up on the Out of Order and Out of service rooms.
• To ensure a close co-ordination with the Front Office, Engineering, Food and Beverage as well as the Guest Relation regarding usual and unusual guest requests.
• To review the Night Audit reports related to the Housekeeping.

• Minimum 2 years of experience within the position in 5* luxury properties.
• Must be able to inspect all areas of the property

Job description

The HSE Director and his team will actively drive and implement Health, Safety & Environmental management strategy across all aspects of the project.

He/she will be strategic but most importantly hands-on in nature, and will have the personal qualities and gravitas to influence in a complex-matrix internal environment and with the client. They will have experience in working at a very senior level and will have the ability to network, influence and partner with senior management, project and client-team.

• Drive and implementing the HS&E efforts on the project;
• Implementing and monitoring initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the HSE services and delivery;
• Plan and coordinate continuous improvement HSE actions for all phases of the project to share good practice, feedback experiences and drive best practice, typically through continuous improvement workshops, lessons learnt reviews;
• Manage a team of HSE professionals;
• Oversee and reviewing the HSE requirements of the contactors in matters such as such as contract compliance and permits to work;
• Audit, monitor and report project and contractor HSE performance;
• Review, implement and maintain the management systems for HSE, in line with regulatory standards;
• Ensure the project team follows the relevant legislation, engineering and construction codes and standards;
• Lead, develop and update the HSE policies, plans and procedure to comply as a minimum with the joint venture standards, local and international legal requirements;
• Develop and implement Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP’s), Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP’s) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s);
• Identify hazards and assessing safety risk, developing strategies to ensure products, system and applications are safe and reliable;
• Preparing HSE documents and processes such as Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work;
• Investigate and ensuring action to eliminate the cause of potential non-conformities to prevent their occurrence;
• Report all cases of non-conformity;
• Identify then eliminating the root cause and prevent recurrence;
• Lead the investigation team of serious incident and accident reports;
• Prepare and submit reports and follow-up in preventative and corrective actions.

Profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in managing engineering design development, construction practices, economic principles, international codes, standards, procedures and specifications;

• The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in successfully implementing a culture of continuous improvement in accordance with a Zero Harm philosophy in a hands-on manner;

• NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, IRCA or equivalent

• Experience on mega infrastructure/building/architectural projects is preferred. Must have experience at senior management/director level as well as having extensive experience in client facing roles.

• Monitor and implement the company’s H3SE policies, procedures and programs.

• Make sure of the proper availability and working condition of safety equipment.
• Collect relevant information and report QHSE data.

Context and environment

Position will be based in Dubai-UAE, with regular missions about 50% in IRAK project location:
Strongly involved into the IRAK SOLAR project preparation, monitoring, improvement plan and execution 50% of the time shall be in IRAK project Assistance from 1 to 2 weeks in IRAK for HSE Assistance to the project team and COMPANY Local HSE Team.

Candidate profile

• 10 to 12 years of professional experience involving at least 5 years in a HSE and/or project management position.
• High level of knowledge and understanding of the local regulations for safety and environmental protection applicable in the selected region.
• Experiences in the power sector will be a plus.
• Precision and zero compromise/tolerance approach on HSE and technical excellence must be proven.
• Proven autonomy and ability to manage high level contacts are required.
