Your day to day

As a Leisure/Recreation Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the recreation team to provide guest services at the resort pools, outdoor playing areas, kids club, and beach, as well as cleaning recreational areas. Some of your daily tasks include:

  • Provides excellent and warm service to guests at all times, ensuring they are always comfortable and satisfied around the recreation facilities.
  • Assist with resort activity program as required
  • Be aware of daily weather, pool temperatures, tides, jellyfish, oil spill at the beach, and other external factors that may affect the safekeeping of hotel assets and guests/employees alike.
  • Understands and strictly adheres to the Rules & Regulations established in the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, and Health & Safety.
  • Ensures that all maintenance issues and hazards are reported and rectified immediately for the safety of guests.



What we need from you

Ideally, the candidate should be a graduate from Hospitality College, possess relevant experience, or previous internship in a guest-facing department in the Hotel Industry (5-star resort preferable). You should be a positive, sportive, and proactive individual with an outgoing, and approachable character and with a high aptitude for customer care.

About the role :


Rental Reservations Manifest Execution
1.    Run daily reservations manifest for all branches in Dubai and Northern emirates with correct allocation of vehicles as per substitution matrix to dispatch vehicles as per requirement to all branches.
2.    Managing driver’s allocation for all transactions of vehicles. Dispatching reservation vehicles with time frame minimum 30 min in advance.

 

Rental Delivery and Collection.
1.    Manage vehicle delivery to customers- Contact customers and assign drivers
2.    Collect vehicles from customers – Contact customers and assign drivers
3.    Ensure all documents are collected and submitted as per agreed process. 

 

Walk Up
1.    Ensure 30% of total check outs for the day are provided as Walk up vehicles
2.    Liaise with the Yard team to ensure adequate stock of clean vehicles are available at all times.


Huddle Board update
1.    Update Huddle Board in each shift to ensure all correct data is up to date & huddle done daily with drivers & other associates to share important points.


Reporting
1.    Send an updated report of all required transactions (Delivery, Collections, movement of Cars, Inventory etc.) on a daily basis to the supervisor/manager.
2.    Email the Shift Handover document to the supervisor/manager at the end of each shift


Breakdowns assistance (After Office Hours)
1.    Attend to customer queries concerning service and maintenance after office hours i.e. from 08:00 PM to 08:00 AM and all day on Friday 
2.    Attend to Breakdowns and emergencies after office hours i.e. from 08:00 PM to 08:00 AM and all day on Friday.

 

Customer complaints and Resolution
1.    Ensure all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to ensure customer satisfaction.
2.    Where required customer challenges are escalated to the Supervisor/Manager as per process agreed.
3.    Ensure that professional communications are upheld at all times by Email, Phone & Verbal. This is with internal and external customers.


Driver Management
1.    Reporting any lateness or sickness of drivers to the operations supervisor.
2.    Ensure all drivers assigned as per the schedule of vehicle requirement and there is no downtime in driver’s shift.


Lease Pro Management
1.    Ensure all transfers is done correctly. Check in and check out in appropriate branch. Open NRTs is closed on daily basis.
2.    Inventory of Ready to Rent and Walk in branch on daily basis to avoid ageing vehicles.

 

About You :

 

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: 
•  
  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•    Knowledge of MS-Office i.e. Word and Excel and other applications desirable
•    Good knowledge of roads and locations in the UAE and RTA legislations
•    Professional communication and presentation (written and verbal) skills
•    Excellent customer interaction skills


Minimum Experience:
•   
 Over 2 years’ experience in working in the automotive industry – Rental industry is desirable

Job Purpose

The job holder ensures the customer's satisfaction by performing quality servicing and repairs, on all electrical components of a commercial vehicle (Truck and Busses), as per manufacturer's specifications

Job Responsibilities

Functional

  • Identifies the customers' requests, analyses them with Supervisor/Foreman, and refines the diagnostic process to identify problems
  • Performs the requested work, in line with manufacturer's methods (recommendations and operating procedures) to ensure efficient use of time and quality
  • Communicates with the foreman during the work to inform him of the check results and of his work, and also to ask for his help or assistance and assists Technicians as needed.
  • Observes the safety rules defined for the equipment, instruments and products to avoid any work accident
  • Observes the work time set by the Foreman in order to meet the standard productivity requirement
  • Carries out, on his own initiative, minor work not requested by the customer to improve customer service
  • Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues, as necessary
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment
  • Adjust functional parts of electrical devices or control instruments, using necessary tools

Operational

  • Places protective equipment on the vehicle (if not already done) to avoid any scratch in the vehicle body.
  • Prepares the tools, equipment required to complete each task and ensures all components at the periphery of the work location are in operational condition.  
  • Performs safety inspections and completes the quality control sheets and necessary test documents. 
  • Undertakes the requested work in accordance with the work order.
  • Identifies additional work, non-conformances and rapidly communicates them to the Foreman and documents the incidences on the work order. 
  • Informs the Foreman of any incident which might cause a delivery delay. 
  • Prepares, under the foreman's responsibility, the supplies outward sheet for parts to be replaced and transfers them from the Spare Parts to service as required
  • Perform selective sorting of waste, within the frame of the applicable rules.
  • Prepares the vehicle for delivery by ensuring all equipment and accessories are in place and the vehicle has been cleaned, returning any damaged or old parts to the customer if requested.

Procedural

  • Observes the work schedules and times set by the Job Controller / Foreman.
  • Applies the manufacturer's directives and the safety rules.
  • Searches for information in the available documentation (technical manuals, repair booklets, supplier’s data).

Qualifications

  • High School and above
  • Preferably 3 years Diploma (OR) 2 year I.T.I in Automobile

Experience

  • 3 Years as auto service center with handling team of technician 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Carries out basic Maint Serv, PDI and other Minor Gen Repairs like brakes, Suspension, Elec systems etc.
  • Proficient in repairing all Mecanican and Electrical components of Commercial Vehicle
  • Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools 
  • Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it 
  • Equipment Selection — determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
