What you will be doing 

 As an Architect with GUERLAIN MEAI, you will be working closely with a team of enthusiastic, creative and hands on designers to lead retail architecture projects from planning till execution. You will be harnessing your project management skills along side your creative design skills to ensure successful project outcome in line with the international brand's guideline.

Job Responsibilities

  • In close alignment with HQ and the Merchandising Manager, develop retail concepts for the brand.
  • Work on multiple projects, from initial brief to installation, collaborating on cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
  • Following the international brand’s guidelines and project brief, determine requirements, timeline and prepare cost estimates to meet project budget.
  • Develop and put together mood boards, material boards, concept presentations and design briefs.
  • Prepare layouts, preliminary sketches and 3Ds; review the projects before presenting to Global Headquarters.
  • Review and approve technical drawings, design specifications, cost estimates and construction recommendations.
  • Train and guide suppliers/contractors to meet the adequate quality on projects, ensuring that dimensions, materials and finishing are in line with design concept during on-site inspections.
  • Ensure efficient time management, project planning, coordination of resources and follow-up on projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in efforts to elevate brand’s image and awareness; create new processes and best practices for the Merchandising team.

What you'll need to succeed 

  •  University Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Proficient experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Suits and Sketch Up.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; preferably in Luxury Retail industry
  • Project Management Professional certificate is a plus
  • Open tp travel across MEAI 10% of the time

Contract Administrator / Manager, Fugro, UAE

 Job Purpose

As direct support to the Project Manager/Director, the Contract Manager is responsible for the proper administration of the main contract with Fugro’s clients:

Specifically, such professionals would:

  • Oversees the administration and communication of all elements of contractual terms and conditions from award through contract close-out and final settlement;

  • Ensure timely cash collection from the client;

  • Examines project budget and delivery schedules;

  • Support Procurement department in preparing prepares bids, specifications, and contractual flow-down;

  • Pursue any project-claim related matter (inclusive of any litigation as required);

  • Ensure the timely issue of Insurance Certificate and Bank Guarantees as well as cancellations;

  • Liaise with relevant Project Controller and Project Coordinator

  • Ensure proper minutes of the meeting are recorded.

Organizational Context

  • Support Project Manager on strategic projects.  Liaise with Legal, Procurement, Project Controller as well as Project Coordinator. 

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure proper execution of the Main Contract

  • Identify Project Risks and Minimize Project Exposure

  • Ensure timely cash collection

  • Support Procurement on subcontracts/POs (flow-down and negotiations)

  • Provide Support on Project Claim and Litigation

  • Manage Project Communications and Maintain proper contractual records

Education

  • Master - Law degree or Engineering/Quantity Surveying/other Construction-related degree with post-grad legal training.

Working experience

  • 7 Years minimum of Project experience with EPC companies.  Offshore Project experience would be a plus.

License/ Certification/ Qualification/Language Proficiency

  • Law Certification

  • Should be proficient in English

Skills and Qualifications

  • Communication:  A Contract Manager must be able to communicate ideas effectively to the company, to the other parties involved in the contract and to stakeholders to keep everyone apprised of contract-related matters.

  • Negotiation: Negotiation is essential for a Contract Manager, as it’s their job to get the most benefit to the company possible out of any contract considered.

  • Confidence: A key aspect of successful contract management is confidence. It takes a strong attitude to successfully negotiate and execute contracts, as well as an understanding of when to walk away and when to stand one’s ground.

  • Finance Skills: In order to evaluate whether or not a contract is good for the company, a Contract Manager must have the necessary financial/commercial skills to determine exactly how the company would benefit.

 About the Job

The jobholder is responsible to lead, drive and execute the digital communications strategy and programs, contributing to global and regional communications strategies and plans to promote Borouge’s industry positioning and business success locally, regionally, and across the world.

This role includes; managing Borouge’s website, social media and digital platforms and content for global audiences, and directing and managing communications campaigns, branding matters, public relations, crisis communications, and community engagement across the regional and local markets to maximize reach and audience engagement and meet key stakeholders’ requirements, in line with the company communication objectives. In addition to developing visual content to drive effective communications externally.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Website Development

  • Develop content for various digital platforms and services including the website, intranet, and online social media platforms to maximize reach, and ensure the company image, brand and reputation are well communicated and visible to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze, develop and deliver new functionalities and enhancements to the website and other digital services, including websites, microsites, emails, e-newsletters, SMS / MMS, etc. in order to optimize communication and enhance stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide creative and smart ideas for campaigns and activations which will develop company image and reputation, and Create strong visual content/ infographics to be used in various platforms; i.e. animation
  • Development and maintenance of web content management system and administration tools to effectively organize and disseminate online content.
  • Conduct digital content review and updates processes in order to ensure quality and relevance of content, and collaborate with the content team to address issues.

Digital Communications’ Performance

  • Analyze Digital Communications' operational plans and initiatives; identify gaps and recommend corrective measures to support in strengthening and protecting the company image and reputation among key stakeholders locally, regionally, globally, and internally.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of the website and other social media platforms. This includes managing search engine optimization and providing a content strategy to drive people to the website, intranet, and online social media platforms.
  • Identify trends and insights to optimize spend and performance based on the website and social media performance
  • Conduct performance data review and metrics related to the digital platforms and develops a regular report on digital platforms usage, and recommend necessary actions to improve usage.
  • Measure and report performance on digital platforms including website performance and social media channels and work accordingly to meet Borouge KPI’s and objectives

Online Campaigns

  • Work with other members of the external communications team to produce fully integrated online and offline campaigns.
  • Participate in developing Digital communications plans, campaigns, and initiatives in line with its strategic objectives in order to continuously build a positive reputation, and improve perception among external stakeholders.
  • Manage online digital marketing campaigns including online advertising, plans, strategies, social media content creation, and reporting.
  • Produce digital media content in both Arabic & English for websites, social media, online campaigns
  • Work with different teams to deliver digital campaigns and projects including interactive screen content/ touch screen content.

Digital Communications Management

  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor and partner to Borouge Leadership on digital communications to support the functional objectives, strategies, and plans.
  • Support Management on critical and sensitive reputation issues and communication-related challenges in order to inform effective decision-making.
  • Provide digital communications-related advice to business and corporate functions and assets, as deemed necessary, in order to develop and oversee the execution of integrated communications plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and interventions for business and corporate functions in order to optimize and manage a wide range of digital applications and platforms that support meeting business objectives.
  • Conduct research including analyses of user behavior, and participate in the assessments in order to convey research insights to the relevant internal stakeholder (Business/ Corporate Functions).
  • Develop and nurture strong media relations with key identified influencers and online media locally and globally, in order to create better media opportunities.

Social Media Standards & Control

  • Align Borouge’s policies, standards, and code of conduct with the social media policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Design, communicate, and coach Borouge’s employees and stakeholders on their precautionary and preferred interface within social media.
  • Assess the employees’ communications and social media usage to safeguard Borouge’s image, brand, and interests.
  • Review with the Compliance, Regulations, Audits, and other governance teams the social media’s best practices to ensure proper utilization of company resources.
  • Analyze the trends and metrics related to public perception and social media coverage trends in order to continuously identify opportunities to enhance digital communications strategies and plans and improve Borouge image online.
  • Monitor the social media conversations, respond, report, and engage with the audience to maintain the company image online. 
Minimum Qualification

As a successful candidate, you should possess the following:

  • University Degree in Communications, Information Technology or equivalent qualifications.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities in English and Arabic
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Media, Social Media, Digital Communication, or similar occupations.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge and direct experience in project, branding, community relations, media and social media management, public relations, and crisis communications at the regional and global level.
  • Good knowledge of a wide range of digital platforms including social media, websites, e-newsletters.
  • Knowledge of web content management systems.
  • Good skills in online advertising, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, social media tools, SEO/SEM, and any other relevant digital tool.
  • Good project management knowledge and ability to deliver web/digital projects within cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of information architecture, usability, and site design.
  • A creative and innovative approach to communications with the ability to identify new ways of working and lead the change needed.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Borouge operations and various sectors, and ability to lead the delivery of tailored solutions in line with specific business requirements.
  • Good knowledge of the market and user behavior analysis tools. 
  • Strong written communications skills.
