Fulfill Nahdis hiring needs based on the set manpower plan through job posting on Nahdi career page and the implementation of the assigned recruitment plan Position Nahdi as employer of choice through proposing participation in recruitment events and conducting the onboarding process


Accountabilities

Recruitment Plan:

  • Set the recruitment action plan including the sourcing channels and the hiring steps through the alignment with the annual recruitment plan to fulfill the assigned manpower plan
  • Execute the assigned recruitment plan through sourcing screening short listing interviewing process and its logistics and the followup on conducting the technical interviews with the technical managers in order to fill the targeted vacancies ontime 
  • Implement the OnBoarding process starting from the employment form logistics documentation till the probation period to ensure employee retention and to enhance Nahdis image as employer of choice
  • Propose and manage the recruitment events agenda in order to brand Nahdi as employee of choice and to fulfill the business with the required manpower
  • Maximize the candidates flow on Nahdi career page through job posting in order to fulfill the business with the required manpower 

Employee duties are not limited only to the abovementioned Accountabilities heshe may perform other duties as assigned

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Legal Counsel, fluent in both written and spoken English and Arabic, to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We will also consider candidates in Abu Dhabi, UAE

 

This critical role will act as an advisor to KEO's senior management and assist the General Counsel identify and manage the legal issues and affairs of KEO and its associated interests across the GCC and Europe.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Assists in the co‐ordination of KEO activities, in conjunction with the engagement of external legal counsel (as appropriate), related to any litigation, arbitration or other legal proceedings in which KEO is involved.  Assists in determining the need for further external legal advice.
  • Reviews RFP/ITT Terms and Contract Conditions and prepares KEO draft qualifications.
  • Reviews tender/contract insurance requirements (in conjunction with Finance Division).
  • Reviews Letters of Award or Contract Documents for the appropriateness of execution including preparation of any necessary contractual amendments.
  • Drafting, preparation of and advice concerning JV Agreements, MOUs, LOIs, LOAs, NDAs, Client/KEO Services Agreements, KEO/Sub‐consultant Agreements, and other Third Party Agreements.
  • Assists in negotiations with the Clients, Consultants and Contractors, on contract terms and conditions and on all project related issues of contractual significance.
  • Assists in providing advice to KEO senior management on claims and contractual issues including, bonds, insurances, indemnities and so on.
  • Negotiations with Clients, Consultants and Contractors on contract terms and conditions and on all project related issues of contractual significance.
  • Liaises with and assists the Business Services Departments of KEO with their contractual / legal needs.
  • Assists in preparing proposals for new Claims Management /Claims Review services appointments.
  • Participates in publication of legal/contractual articles as part of the firms marketing strategy for the  Claims Management and Dispute Resolution Services.
  • Prepares and executes contract amendments / supplemental agreements and Variations as required.
  • Provides contract interpretation and guidance in contract administration during the course of live projects, e.g. to ensure that any formal Notices that may be required under a Contract are properly and timeously sent.
  • Provides contractual assistance in the preparation of major claims to be submitted by KEO to clients or other parties.
  • Provides contractual assistance in the defense of claims against KEO made by third parties.
  • Peer reviews, prior to submission, any significant claims prepared by KEO project teams.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of KEO’s legal and commercial risk policies.
  • Assists with invoices review and approval.
  • Pursues payment (Claims Managements Services).
  • Assists with projects close out.
  • Assists in overseeing KEO’s litigious disputes and manage the appointment of external legal services providers.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 8 years' career experience with a Bachelor of Law or equivalent. Masters level qualification will be viewed favorably. Experience working in the construction industry is required as knowledge of construction terms and principles is a pre-requisite in this position. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is also essential.

Job Scope

This position is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the management teams of Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC), and its joint venture companies (JVCo’s), on a variety of corporate, commercial, operational and strategic legal matters.

Job scope

  1. Balancing conflicting business demands, producing high quality, practical and commercially oriented legal and compliance based advice in response to tight deadlines, managing allocated outsourced work and communicating effectively to ensure clients are fully informed of progress towards the resolution of problems and the completion of their projects.
  2. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and documents (including but not limited to general terms and conditions (whether customer or supplier in nature), corporate sales agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other general commercial contracts relating to the business, including complex transaction documents such as joint venture agreements and ancillary documents) to ensure that the company’s best contractual and commercial position is attained. The ongoing maintenance of contractual templates is key.
  3. Providing timely, yet substantive, Labour Law advice to the Human Resources team on a broad range of local law labour matters.
  4. The ability to manage a small legal team – specifically including the development of junior lawyers.
  5. Working with, managing and negotiating effectively the use of outside legal counsel acting on behalf of EKFC and its JVCo’s.
  6. Develop and implement the legal and compliance framework for EKFC and its JVCo’s.
  7. Develop and implement a reporting framework for regulatory requirements, where applicable.
  8. Lead and implement the definition of legal policies whilst keeping abreast of legal developments and best practice globally.
  9. Responsible for the legal budget and ensure that this is effectively managed within the corporate guidelines and targets.
  10. Establishes effective relationships with customers and staff, networks effectively within and without the organisation and relates well to individuals at all levels.
  11. Focuses on customer needs and satisfaction, sets high standards for quality and quantity and consistently achieves set goals.

Education Qualification

  • Law degree and completion of a postgraduate professional such as the Legal Practice Course (LPC), Bar Practice Course or their equivalent.
  • Admitted to practise law in a recognised jurisdiction.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience is required with a minimum of five years PQE.
  • Experience in a corporate in-house legal department or law firm.
  • Experience in a leadership role within the Legal function
  • Experience in developing compliance monitoring programs

Skills

  • Specialised knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: (i) corporate law; (ii) commercial contract law; (iii) finance law; (iv) transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures); and (v) the management/development of a legal team.
  • Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills. Arabic preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
  • Ability to manage both day-to-day operations as well as project work
  • Ensuring that professional knowledge is sufficiently maintained and applied by monitoring and reviewing legal publications and changes in legislation and sharing updates with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-border stakeholders (specifically in relation to EKFC’s JVCo’s).
