Job Purpose
Manage, plan and support the business to meet its business objectives and goals through the delivery of innovative, creative, efficient and cost effective integrated communications strategies and solutions that are aligned to regional business and customer needs. Develop, manage and implement a fully integrated communication plan for a portfolio of Emirates Group companies or Support Services, in partnership with the CC team of Shared Services, Specialists and Agencies. Job Outline: - Develop marcomms plans with the Group businesses or Support Services in collaboration with client departments and other key stakeholders in and outside CC (eg, CC Specialists), and incorporating appropriate research on the client markets and customer behaviours. - Be the single point of contact between the business and the CC team to ensure that all briefs and projects are aligned across the business and across CC disciplines so as to maximise return on investment, and develop trusted advisor status through excellent customer (internal) relationship management competencies. - Build strong collaborative relationships with client departments, also with CC management team, to respond to client tactical needs as well as meet strategic objectives. - Understand the commercial business needs and wants to enable client departments better influence on how budget is spent in line with their business needs. - Specify and commission market and customer research, in collaboration with Shared Services, so that deliverables to the business are aligned with their needs and corporate marcomms solutions can be tailored as appropriate. - Ensure that all projects are project managed to the standards set by the Corporate Communications project management framework, to ensure delivery of assignments within scope, time, quality and cost and maintain the CC Project portfolio for the client portfolio. - Stay fully aware of, and report on, business performance, competitive trends, and emerging industry trends that effect the performance of the brand and company reputation so as to be able to advise on how to adjust short, medium and long term strategies and plans. - Ensure accuracy of communications briefs for specialists and agencies and ensure that the outputs provided meet CC's clients' requirements or objectives and are on-strategy and are cost effective. - Effectively manage and utilise the services of all agencies, and other suppliers servicing the business, and manage internal and external resources to ensure cost management and operational efficiency targets are met without compromising quality and standards. Participate in agency performance evaluation and selection. - In collaboration with Manager Account - Dnata & Group Services, Specialist services agencies and other sources of knowledge lead advocacy and education about marcomms best practice among business stakeholders so that they are fully aware of how best to leverage all forms of marcomms.
Qualifications & Experience
Marketing & Media Communication.Other : 8+ Years Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : In Marketing or Communications. Experiences in an international advertising agency as an account manager or as a Marketing Communications Manager with an international organisation. Experience in the airline/travel industry is preferable.

Job Overview

Lead Civil Structural Engineer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.

In your role you will execute civil structural design deliverables in projects in a safe manner, within budget and schedule and with quality.

You should have a desire to work on multi discipline local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by leading assigned discipline designers and engineers.

Lead Civil Structural Engineer shall be technically qualified (Bachelor Degree in Engineering with 15 years’ minimum Oil & Gas experience and Min. 8 years in Lead role) in civil and structural.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Act as Lead and interact with the project engineering manager for solving technical problems arising during project development
  • Ability to review and understand Client's technical documentation and requirements, interpret topographical and geotechnical survey inputs, carry out detailed site surveys, verification and data collection;
  • Must have good knowledge with various design codes such as ACI, ASCE, AISC, BS, Eurocode and extensive experience with ADNOC / Shell DEP standards
  • Must have good knowledge and understanding of civil, structural and architectural drawings.
  • Must be able to develop framing concepts and civil layouts
  • Must have knowledge in blast resistant and resilient design
  • Able to organize inputs and supervise for preparation of civil, structural and architectural drawings, material take offs and calculations.
  • Must be able to develop calculation report for various steel and concrete structures such as, equipment structures, shelters, pipe racks, substation buildings, control buildings, service building, etc.
  • Must be able to develop drainage calculations
  • Mandatory software skills in STAAD Pro, Mat3D, Ram Connections, AutoCAD and Microstation.
  • Knowledgeable with Autodesk Robot, IdeaStatica and Tekla Tedds is a plus.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Tekla Structures
  • Understand the interface within multi-discipline project
  • Should take full responsibility of proper and timely execution of project deliverable ensuring full compliance with quality management system and any project specific contractual requirements.
  • Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management teams.
  • Coordinate within members of civil structural discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients and third parties.
  • Participates in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out.
  • Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, material quantity and budget control
  • Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects
  • Is able to produce proposals for projects which involve man hour and schedule estimates for civil structural discipline
  • Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas
  • Cooperating with other engineering disciplines, customers and subcontractors locally or overseas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with 15 years minimum Oil & Gas experience and minimum 8 years in Lead role
  • Good verbal as well written communication skills, leadership and coordination, analytic and pro-active approach competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
  • Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak of project.
  • Willing to do extensive site-surveys during project execution.
  • UAE local experience is added value.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in the English language

  • Accountable for all workshop activities and scheduling, supervise workshop personnel and field engineers in the workshop. Ensure equipment quality, readiness and utilization levels.
  • Supervise on-site installations, maintenance and equipment or screen testing as required. Rig audits as required to ensure quality is maintained to ensure quality is maintained. Carry out / oversee rig surveys for new sales or rental equipment, compile rig survey reports and liaise with clients.
  • Ensure workshop cost controls are in place, tools are tracked and that installation materials are reused.
  • Liaise closely with the General Manager and Country Managers within the region to ensure that on-going operational issues are met in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Handle technical issues in a prompt and efficient manner. Compile technical reports.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and ensure timely repair. Ensure all field equipment is in good condition, operated efficiently, maintained properly and correctly installed.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and labour law.
  • Champion the shift towards nationalization of personnel in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Carry out training of Brandt field personnel and also rig crews, etc as and when require. Ensure a high level of technical competence amongst field personnel.
  • Ensure housekeeping at the base / workshop is in line with NOV standards at all times.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and no unnecessary risks are taken which might cause injury to personnel or damage to company / client property.
  • Carry out toolbox talks, safety meetings and distribute any new technical or safety memos to personnel at the rig site.
  • Actively ensures his own health and safety, together with that of fellow workers at all times.
  • Mentor and role model for all Dubai employees - work ethic, appearance, timekeeping.
  • Supports as required other NOV Brandt locations.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks and duties, as requested by management.
  • Supervises and has effective control of personnel including implementation of company policies regarding timekeeping, holiday planning, performance reviews and disciplinary procedures.
  • Reporting requirements include maintenance logs, equipment passports, non-conformance reporting, job cards, equipment checklist and commissioning, QA/QC reporting.
