A&M’s Travel, Hospitality
and Leisure Practice
Our
highly respected pan EMEA team is built on deep industry sector expertise with
a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business
problems and deliver dramatic and sustainable business performance
improvements. The Travel, Hospitability and Leisure (THL) practice provides
clients with solutions to complex business issues in the key areas of
large-scale transformation and restructuring, pre-deal commercial and
operational M&A advice, post-merger integration, carve-out, 100-day
improvement plan, quantified EBITDA / cash improvements, comprehensive
bottom-up assessment, market and portfolio strategy, feasibility studies and,
interim leadership. The team brings unrivalled experience from both in-industry
leadership roles and advisory roles and works hand-in-hand with sector experts
in related A&M expert practices, such as Financial Due Diligence (TAG),
Tax, Valuations, and Disputes and Investigations as one team for clients.

cases also a proven and successful track record as a senior level executive in

The Opportunity
We
are looking for a strong leader to join us at Managing Director level, who working hand-in-hand
and as a member of both our EMEA THL leadership and Middle East regional
leadership, will be a major voice in defining the go to market and building an
advisory team specialised in Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure in the Middle East at a
time when A&M are heavily investing in this sector and region. You will
manage and deliver client engagements, win new business, and develop a world
class team.
You
will be experienced in operational and / or commercial solutions that address
businesses critical issues either in an advisory capacity or taking the reins
in an interim C-Suite role. You will operate at EMEA level and, leveraging
A&M’s brand and expertise, help shape and build a differentiated and best
in class consulting services. The successful candidate will:

Lead the development of the
Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure team in the Middle East by engaging with
prospective clients and developing enduring senior level client relationships
·
Serve as a member of the Travel,
Hospitality & Leisure practice leadership in EMEA
·
Build the A&M brand and profile
by successfully winning and delivering client assignments and managing project
teams to exceed client expectations
·
Contribute to thought leadership and
the development of the practice by raising the profile and our reputation with
clients and internally across other teams
·
Be an influential leader on travel,
hospitality and leisure topics including growth and strategy, operational and
commercial performance improvement, M&A, turnaround and restructuring
·
Provide a significant contribution to
practice building activities such as recruiting and training both leaders and
junior team members
·
Identify and manage key relationships
with owners, operators, national stakeholders, and investors / lenders
Technical Competencies &
Experience
We
are looking for a sector leader who are interested in taking on the new
challenge in leading and shaping the future of the dynamic team at A&M. You
will have an opportunity to work alongside inspiring leaders and act as a
trusted advisor to Boards, CEOs, and C-level executives to drive the strategic
transformation agenda and programs to fundamentally turnaround businesses and
put them on a sustainable growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with

challenged and ambitious. As a Managing Director, you will cultivate and foster
new businesses and be part of shaping the future of the practice.
You
will have a demonstrable deep knowledge of business transformation, a broad and
varied blend of operational and consulting skills, an entrepreneurial approach
and well-developed networks. We are looking for candidates with several of the
following attributes:

Evidence of delivering major
transformation, performance improvement, operational restructuring or
M&A-driven projects
·
Evidence of converting business
contacts and leads into sustainable, profitable revenue streams
·
Developing and executing a specific
strategy focused on target clients and distinctive go-to-market propositions
·
Experience and consequently a robust
network across the Middle East and Europe of investors of all types – owners,
operators, national stakeholders and investors / lenders
·
Broad operational experience in the
Travel, Hospitality and Leisure industry combined with advisory experience from
a leading professional services firm
·
A track record in supporting and
driving the relationship and sales management process
·
Proven record of delivering state of
the art solutions to an evolving sector
·
Analytical rigour, preferably with
financial and / or diligence experience
·
Clear determination to deliver the
latest thinking in a highly competitive advisory marketplace
·
Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging,
and unpredictable environment
·
Experience of living and working in
the Middle East
·
Fluency in English is essential and,
fluency in Arabic is highly desirable
