Grand Hyatt Muscat is seeking an accomplished Director of Sales & Marketing to provide key leadership and strategic direction that will drive results across both the corporate and leisure segments. This iconic property is set on the shores of the Arabian Sea and boasts 280 classically-appointed rooms as well as an array of dining experiences from casual Sports Bar vibes to fine dining Italian. In addition, Grand Hyatt Muscat is the host of some of the largest conference and convention facilities within the city and hence, providing the Sales & Marketing team with every opportunity to drive key business outcomes.

 

This key leadership role requires a creative, experienced and inspirational leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and high level of emotional intelligence to adjust to varied contexts and client needs. Qualifications

 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role in reputable five star luxury hotels, and displays strong traits in the following areas:

Your responsibilities

    Strategy leadership Generates demand in the market that creates growth in line with the global division strategy by ensuring business development and sales activities in the domestic market. Provides market input to global division strategy.

Your background

    Ideally, you'll hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration or equivalent. Education to MBA level would be an advantage.
    At least 5 years of commercial leadership experience in large, complex, fast-pace, matrixed, innovative industrial organizations, with direct management of large sales and marketing teams preferably in system business but also knowledge in product business is preferred.
    Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design and execution of commercial plans and strategies.
    Ability to create and communicate marketing messages and value propositions effectively to the sales and marketing force and customers.
    Experience in dealing and understanding of the global industrial and commercial market, especially as it relates to the ecosystem of channel partners, direct sales, segments, solutions & digital selling, and the evolving e-commerce landscape.
    Strong problem solving, learning agility and ability to deal with shifting priorities and issues. Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects at the same time. Results focused and able to work well under pressure and against tight deadline.
    Analytical and strategic in consolidating data into valuable information for the business to act upon. Capacity to conceptualize as well as operationalize commercial strategies.
    Proven track record in designing and deploying marketing strategies and/or leading and closing large sales deals.
    Demonstrated ability for leading and building organizational capabilities, robust systems and processes and culture of high performance / excellence in marketing and sales. Ability to lead and develop talent with a proven track record of doing so. Experience at working in a “performance based” environment to foster it within the team.
    Entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication skills and senior executive presence. Self-driven with networking, collaboration, and intercultural skills.
    Ability to lead teams effectively, including geographically remote teams.

What you'll be doing

The in-store executive understands Puig strategy (multi-brand approach) and brands’ corporate in-store image and strives for POS Excellence, ensuring impactful & efficient implementation of both permanent and temporary visibility in stores.

Temporary Visibility:

    Execute the trade plan activities by working closely with the marketing and commercial teams to implement new launches and operations (POS accuracy).

    Order the new visuals for all our counters (visual order master file) and ensure successful implementations of all visuals with VMs

    Launch design briefs/simulations and ensure materials matches the merchandising guidelines (color proof, simulations, quotations)

    Audit suppliers to ensure they meet standards on production and implementation.

    Ensure successful implementations by tracking installations and deliveries (Checklist) and submitting quality reports in coordination with VMs

    Compile pictures of all activations per retailer and share the new launces report.

Permanent Visibility:

Handle the retail projects from the brief until the installation with the retail design teams (regional and HQ offices):

    Send briefs and build the retro-planning aligned with the commercial deadlines
    Ensure the project progression (considering the quoting, permit, transportation, local regulations…)

POS Excellence:

    Ensure planograms and POSM is updated in all stores (logo, shelf plaquette, STS) with the support of the VM for every new launch/animation with a special focus on Niche brands and Flagship doors.
    Fulfill instore requests in coordination with sales team/VM (maintenance, electricity, visuals)
    Propose improvements and solutions for temporary and permanent production and installation

Control:

    Define and order all POSM requirements and needs per brand per store (CPS)
    Keep track of stands and update them as per guidelines / based on priorities
    Track furniture in all warehouses and with the suppliers to ensure effective re-use
    Monitor spending/quotations and process payments (instore budget Capex and non Capex)

Various

    Conduct market visits and prepare instore reports (travel to Riyadh, Khobar, remote areas)
    Ensure efficient communication of marketing activities and coordinate activations with all the team

What we are looking for

    Experience: 3 or more years of relevant working experience
    Education: Degree in Interior Design or Business/Marketing
    Languages: English & Arabic
    Competencies: Good communication skills, willingness to be hands-on, deadline-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

Position Overview

Marketing Executive

Contribute to the development of the marketing strategies, understand impact of marketing plans and programs on business outcomes. Stay informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising programs. Finally, act as the intermediary between creative and sales teams.

 

 

Key Tasks

 

    Coordinate strategic marketing initiatives, campaign and plans from the ideation till the execution, including the design and production of marketing collateral, print and digital advertising, magazines, events and others.
    Create and develop content and stories for a variety of internal and external channels that will connect with audiences
    Analyze media trends and assist in the research and implementation of new media strategy.
    Lead logistics execution for all events, sponsorship programs, festivals, etc. including venue organization, materials ordering, scheduling and attendance, database management, etc.
    Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring marketing programs and plans success.
    Manage the content of BanoPuratos KSA website and social media platforms for all entities to ensure that they are current, dynamic, relevant, and in alignment with the marketing strategies
    Keep promotional materials ready during various event and exhibitions by coordinating with graphic department and sales coordinators
    Coordinate the production and effective distribution of marketing materials including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters, others
    Monitor competitive landscape to identify industry trends and best practices
    Identify sponsorship opportunities for implementation as needed for successful event execution
    Act as a point of contact with digital agencies, online service providers, and promotional material suppliers in order to negotiate best terms and optimize the best exposure
    Coordinate and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions
    Keep abreast of latest trends and best practices within the field and share lessons learned across the department

 

Job Profile

 

    3 to 6 years of marketing experience.
    Bachelor degree in Marketing, or any related field
    Fluent in English and Arabic
    Knowledge of web analytics tools
    Ability to develop and manage digital marketing campaigns from the ideation till the execution
