About the role

As a Maintenance Helper, you are responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor by fabricating, repairing, installating and other related tasks pertaining to carpentry/electrical works to meet operational requirements. You will maintain good facility, housekeeping and appropriate equipment/tool for proper handling and you are responsible for ensuring Health and Safety procedures are in place while doing all tasks.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

    Assist to fabricate/repair/install gondolas/display stands, shelves, counters, locks and other wooden furniture/ items that are required by several departments/sections.
    Support and meet the requirements of various departments/sections to maintain good housekeeping and smooth office operation at all times.
    Support other department requirements as the need arises from time to time, i.e. transfer of furniture from one location into other location, repairs of gondolas, drawers, locks etc.
    Facilitate request from departments/staff regarding maintenance issues to ensure action is taken immediately by maintenance team.
    Assist in maintaining fixtures and fittings in all F&B locations of Qatar Duty Free, providing a safe and attractive appearance for customers, passengers and staff.
    Assist in repairing all fixtures and fittings where and when necessary maintaining the appearance of the outlet and allowing the operation to function.
    Provide information of reported faults and recommending course of action to rectify the fault to Maintenance Supervisor for immediate response.
    Ensure that all units, both wall and floor, are fully maintained and general repairs affected where necessary.
    Ensure that all repairs are carried out with immediate effect to minimize the disruption needs of the operation.
    Handle electrical components such as changing bulbs, repairing wires, installing/uninstalling gondolas fixtures, wall units etc.
    Assist in connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components with supervision and control by Maintenance Supervisor to avoid any errors.

JOB PURPOSE

Hawk Aircrew Instructors (AI’s) are responsible to the Hawk Aircrew Instructor Supervisor (AIS) in the following key roles:

    Human Factors and Flying Safety academics and support.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The AI is to receive training and maintain competency on the following systems / competencies:

    Hawk T-165 Aircraft and Mission Systems (AS and MS).
    Hawk T-165 Full Mission Simulator (FMS) Console.
    Hawk T-165 Integrated Procedures Trainer (IPT) Console.
    Learning Management System (LMS).
    Flight Pro.
    Human Factors and for select AI’s, Performance Coaching.

Under the guidance of the AIS, the AI is to:

    Deliver Officer and Aircrew Training (OAT) technical and non-instructional academic events.
    Operate the FMS or IPT console in support of IFF or IKT synthetic training or currency events.
    Develop and maintain IFF and IKT courseware utilizing the Learning Content Management System (LCMS).
    Manage Aircrew Technical Document library, database and facilitate Aircrew Document Set (ADS) amendment process.
    Develop and publish the daily Hawk flying and ground schedule utilizing Flight Pro.
    Deliver Human Factors training and where qualified Performance Coaching to O&AT Trainees and personnel where appropriate.
    Assist KFAB Flying Organisation staff as required with Syllabus development.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

    Ex-Military Instructional Aircrew who have operated in a crewed environment.
    One of the following qualifications; Qualified Weapons Instructor (QWI), Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI), Qualified Navigation Instructor (QNI), Instructor Weapons System Operator (IWSO) or hold an Aircrew ground instructor qualification.
    Able to deliver clear and concise ground school lectures, briefs, presentations and reports.
    Able to conduct ‘Train the Trainer’ activities to ensure continuity within the functional area.
    IT literate with the current Microsoft Office programs and tools.
    High standard of spoken and written English language to International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent for non-native speakers.

Desireable

    Previous instructional experience with RSAF or GCC personnel.
    Qualified Human Factors Facilitator or Instructor.
    Qualified Performance coach.
    Experience in Training Management Information System (TMIS) or Flight Pro.
    Able to apply the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and be conversant in:
        Training Situational / Needs Analysis capture, development and creation.
        Syllabus development.
    Conversant with the following document sets:
        RSAF Manual (RSAFM) 15-XX series for Aircrew Training and Currency.
        RSAFM Flying Order Book (FOB).
        Aircraft Flight Manuals, Normal and Emergency checklists, Weapon checklists and performance data manuals.

    Use standard tools, power tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot systems, repair and/or replace parts. Operate ground support equipment.
    Interpreting and working with engineering drawings and provide accurate reports to Bombardier engineering when required.fectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status as well as being able to read, write and communicate to an understandable level in the English language.
    Using information systems such as (computer skills).
    Ensuring that all incomplete tasks are handed over at the end of each shift in accordance with the approved procedures.
    Report hazards, incidents and occurrences through the delegated reporting process and to the supervisor in a timely manner to ensure safety, security and quality of product is assured.
    Ensuring good housekeeping practices
    Perform other duties within his capability as required.

Qualifications
 

As our ideal candidate,

    You have completed an accredited aircraft maintenance degree and hold a basic GCAA and/or EASA B1 license (no limitations).
    You have working knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
    You have up to date understanding of the requirements of Part-66
    You have a minimum of 5+ years of line and/or base maintenance experience on Bombardier Business Aircraft

    You have knowledge on EWIS, CDCCL, SMS and FTS
    You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations
    You have a driver's license (Manual transmission approvals)
    You can effectively communicate in English both in written and verbal form on individual task status
    You can use standard tools, special tools and to operate ground support equipment
    You can work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
    You can identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions
    You have experience understanding critical tasks
    You have basic Microsoft Office skills

Purpose of the position:

The primary role of the position is to supervise ground operations on the dedicated airports in the network of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi and manage the setup of new locations.

 
Responsibilities:

 

In line with regulations is responsible for management and supervision of ground operations:

 

    Ensuring that ground handling operations and activities are conducted in accordance with the conditions and restrictions of the AOC and conducted in compliance with the applicable regulations and standards (PART-OPS);

    Lead and manage the start-up operations of all new stations;
    Liaise with Airport Development and Purchasing Department to ensure that services of catering suppliers, fuel suppliers and handling are available as required;
    Manage the ground handling team in activities across the network as required;
    Maintain timely contacts with other departments within Wizz Air and to outside organisation and contractors in relation to their tasks and responsibilities;
    To liaise closely with Wizz Air marketing to ensure that all signage at airports in line with Wizz Air marketing strategy;
    To liaise closely with airport management to ensure that Wizz Air best interests are served in relation to any airport developments;
    Maintain up to date the compliance of Ground Operations and Passenger Handling Manuals and ensure all Ground Operations Managers and subcontracted handling partners are trained to its Safety and Compliance Standards;
    Ensure provision of safety, security and compliance training for supervised staff (in the scope relevant to their functions).

 

Requirements:

    Completed university or college degree is a must
    Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    Business mindset and ability to synthesize information into recommendations
    Good oral and written presentations skills
    Team work and strong interpersonal skills
    Fluent spoken / written English
