Position Purpose:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the HRBP – MENA to ensure all human resources initiatives are aligned to the CHEP – MENA business strategy and objectives. The position holder is responsible for providing transactional, operational and (where necessary) strategic services across all facets of HR in order to support the business to deliver its strategy and create sustainable value for key stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

    Provide day-to-day administration of HR policies, processes and documents and ensure that they are effectively implemented and communicated to all employees in a timely manner

    Support the implementation of the HR Strategy in line with the MENA Business Strategy by identifying the proper initiatives and actions plans required to achieve future business success

    Contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of HR services in order to enable efficiencies across all HR pillars ensuring a strong EVP in place to attract and retain key talents

    Deliver the nationalisation program (eg. Saudisation) to ensure a healthy pipeline of local talent in compliance to local requirements while maintaining our Nitaqat rate within the Platinum range

    Establish strong partnerships with the MELT, key stakeholders and employees by providing them with expert advice and counselling on HR related matters in a proactive manner

    Coordinate every step of the employee life cycle in a consistent manner to improve employees’ experience and make a great impact in helping them realize their full potential

    Leverage data analytics by identifying the right metrics that delivers organization insights and provide recommendations in order to support the business in making the right decisions

    Partner with Centres of Expertise (COE) to support Reward and Talent & Learning initiatives with managers and employees

    Role model CHEP values and behaviors and act as guardian of Company culture and philosophy.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in HR or in a relevant discipline (i.e: management, etc.)

Experience:

    4-6 years related experience in Human Resources preferably within a manufacturing/ supply chain/ retail environment

    Experience of HR systems, Workday preferable

    Sound knowledge of operational HR tools, business environment, labour market, government regulations

Skills and Knowledge:

Job Purpose

- Partner with all areas of HR to successfully execute plans and support initiatives aligned to the people strategy. Work collaboratively across all departments (and other key stakeholders) to enable the team to provide all candidates with a high-quality experience. Evaluate the tools and processes that enhance the employee experience, making recommendations that will generate improvements in impact and/or adoption.

Position Summary

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Functional management
• Ensure effective relationship with HR Business Partner(s) and department heads; advise hiring managers on job descriptions, CATIL competencies, and recruitment approach, selection methods as and when required.
• Facilitate key recruitment activities for each vacant position: review and update key recruitment material such as JD and job ads, sourcing, interviewing and shortlisting candidates, interviews and assessment forms, discussions leading up to offer decision.
• Develop and update fit for purpose recruitment and related processes, aligned with Milaha's set policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure auditability of each process, and be responsible for ensuring no non-compliances.

Team Management & Development
• Manage and guide the recruitment team in meeting recruitment targets by closely following up on active vacancies, having optimal recruitment strategy in place to ensure quality and timely closure of position. Manage escalation from and to the business.
• Guide recruiters to ensure effective pre-on-boarding (documentation and immigration stage), and on-boarding of new hires.  
• Coach subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism;
Employment Offer
• Coordinate with compensation & benefits team to prepare potential financial package (and options); review package options with HR BP and Business; discuss and finalize package with candidate, directly or through recruiters.
• Review drafts of employment offer letters and contracts for selected candidates and ensure all recruitment policies and procedures are adhered to.
External agency management
• Drive direct sourcing, and also maintain professional relationships with external sources of recruitment of Professional staff (such as recruitment search firms, colleges, and other specialized sources) in order to source potential candidates for Milaha vacancies.
• Manage contracts with approved local and overseas recruitment agencies for supply of Production manpower. Ensure all legal and contractual documentation is place for each agency.
• Ensure that membership of recruitment portals are maintained in order to have access to a ready pool of qualified candidates to fill relevant vacancies as and when required
Systems and Reporting
• Coordinate with HRMS team to ensure optimal recruitment systems are in place in order to minimize HR efforts exerted and recruiting cycle time. Continuously improve processes, and be responsible for audit clearance
• Ensure recruitment tracker is maintained, and root cause analysis is conducted. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and resourcing programs, course correct where needed. Provide regular updates to HR BP and Business.
Compliance and audit
• Support internal and external audits of assigned area of responsibility; lead closure of negative observations, minor/major non compliances
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
 

 

Qualifications
 Education & Professional Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or equivalent.

Professional Experience:

Computer Skills:
