Description

    Implement and follow the optimal staff structure according to the stores’ needs and productivity targets by coordinating the distribution of budgeted hours and headcount and ensuring their compliance with applicable local laws and regulations
    Manage the recruitment process, enhance selection tools and methods, conduct interviews as well as implement inductions and on-boarding processes.
    Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently implemented (employee handbook, standard operation procedures, uniform procedures, working hours, staff lockers and the staff room procedures…)
    Implement employee relations programs and evaluate their effectiveness (exit interviews, employee surveys, absenteeism and turnover rates…)
    Implement the disciplinary policy based on the disciplinary action matrix, ensuring the alignment with the local labor law
    Ensure that workplace health, safety and security comply with local laws, regulations and company’s code of conduct
    Train, guide and motivate shop managers to develop their teams and manage talent ensuring that employees have the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to meet current and future business requirements
    Coach managers on conflict resolutions and handling employee issues to increase productivity and boost employee morale.
    Follow up on the completion of Performance Development Plans (PDP’s) and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP’s) through various learning activities and manage the performance appraisal cycle

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
    Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus
    Proficiency in MS Office
    Train-the-trainer (TTT) and Coaching certifications are a must
    2 to 3 years of experience in HR within a retail company

Scope of Work :     


Fully understand and embrace Six Senses company vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host’s duty.
Adhere to all Six Senses brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.
Maintain effective relationships with department and division heads. Consistently follow up on all recruitment matters with the relevant division or department heads to ensure all vacancies are filled in a timely manner.
Review all applications received on a daily basis. Respond to all that are not suitable within 3 days of receipt.
Interview all suitable candidates in a timely manner, no later than 1 week after receipt.
Where a position is vacant forward pre-screened applications and interview notes to the relevant department or division head, as appropriate, for further interview.
Maintain a register of active applications, including a tracking system to ensure all active applications are managed and followed through in a timely manner.
All applications must be managed in a reasonable time frame. An acceptable time frame is 2 weeks from receipt to final interview.
Once final approval for hire has been received from the General Manager, prepare the package proposal, job description and employment contract and email to the applicant along with the list of relevant documentation required to prepare for their hire, including work permit information for expatriate hosts.
On receipt of the signed contract, for expatriate hosts, liaise with the new host to complete the work permit documentation and submit to the Government Relations Officer for processing.
Arrange through the resort’s travel agent for the issuing of the new host’s airline ticket.
Arrange for overnight accommodation and all other transport arrangements for hosts arriving in Muscat.
Review all internal applications received and liaise with the host’s department head and receiving department head to interview and approve applications.
Advise all hosts of the status of their application for transfer or promotion - successful or unsuccessful, and file the internal transfer application on the host’s personal file.
Update the vacancy list as Host Requisition Forms are received ensuring the list is current at all times.
Email the vacancy list to Home Office recruitment on a weekly basis to ensure the Six Senses Careers website is updated.
Maintain a log of all current vacancies, including a list of all applicants under consideration and the status of their applications.
Prepare advertisements for approved publications as required.
Research potential websites and other publications where positions may be advertised and make recommendations to the Director of Human Resources and Training, including the relevant costs.
Complete any other duty assigned by your manager.
Arrive on time in full uniform in accordance with the company grooming guideline.
 

 

Qualification :     

 

Position Requirements:
Human Resources qualification or equivalent years of experience in a human resources office.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Thorough understanding of the job requirements of hotel/resort positions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

    Communicate with the Client’s representatives continuously regarding Project Progress and areas of concern.

    Assist the Project Director in leading the Project Management staff in assessing variations and claims and report the technical position of the proposed variation to the Client.
    Advise the Project Director of any foreseen slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.
    Review weekly and monthly reports as presented by Design/Supervision Consultant(s) and Contractor and present to the Client comments of non-compliance, and/or area of concern and corrective actions.
    Coordinate with the Design Manager during the detailed design stage of the Project to ensure Design Compliance with Client requirements avoid any cost impact.

 
Qualifications
 

    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
    At least fifteen years of experience in a Construction Management role.
    Experience working on PPP and EBC/Turnkey projects is a must
    PMP, CIOB, RICS, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
    Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
    Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including excel and word.
    Excellent command of written and spoken English.
    Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
    Excellent communication and organization skills.

Job Description

To provide Civil & Structural Engineering design and drawings in support of Major Engineering Projects

Responsibilities

Provides design and drafting services for major engineering projects of the department covering overall plant civil engineering design in adherence to standard industry practices and company and international technical standards.

Checks drawings and designs produced by Engineering Consultants and other Contractors to ensure that they meet the highest technical standards of accuracy, consistency and dimensional controls.

Assists in preparing Civil, Structural and Building project requirements and technical specifications for project of the Engineering Division to ensure projects are executed efficiently and with best engineering practices.

Visits project sites and liaises with Operating and Maintenance Department personnel to collect information necessary to define design requirements, constraints and physical dimensions.

Works and liaises with Contractors, Vendors and Consultants to co-ordinate design requirements by conveying company standard requirements and methods thus ensuring conformity and quality of work delivered.

Applied all procedures with regards to archiving of engineering drawings and other technical documentation with the Company’s documents management systems (EDMS) to ensure that stored information is secure and can be tacked/traceable for future references.

Assists in preparing, updating, implementing and controlling design and detailing standardization of Civil, Structural and Building aspects, maintains integrity of engineering documentation by providing ‘As-built’ designs for Engineering Data Management Systems (EDMS) so as to ensure uniformity in construction projects executed by Plant Engineering Department.

Assists in developing and maintaining Civil, Structural and Building engineering database from historical information, international codes and standards etc.

Qualifications

B.Sc in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent with practical experience in workshop and construction practice.

Minimum Seven (7) years’ experience in design drafting in the office of an Engineering Consultant, Manufacturing or Maintenance Company in the Oil & Gas or petro-chemical industry.

Shall be able to develop a thorough knowledge of Engineering Department and Company standards and procedures.

Shall be highly proficient in the utilization of Auto-CAD and other relevant software tools and shall have a sound working knowledge of computer aided drafting techniques.

Should have sufficient knowledge of construction, modification and repair methods, materials and job sequence encountered in implementation of engineering project works in related disciplines as well as industry wide codes and standards.

Good working knowledge of MS Office package on Windows Operating System. Exposure to specialized Civil, Structural and Building Engineering design software is preferred.
