Key Roles & Responsibilities

Functional management
• Ensure effective relationship with HR Business Partner(s) and department heads; advise hiring managers on job descriptions, CATIL competencies, and recruitment approach, selection methods as and when required.
• Facilitate key recruitment activities for each vacant position: review and update key recruitment material such as JD and job ads, sourcing, interviewing and shortlisting candidates, interviews and assessment forms, discussions leading up to offer decision.
• Develop and update fit for purpose recruitment and related processes, aligned with Milaha's set policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure auditability of each process, and be responsible for ensuring no non-compliances.
• Ensure consistent application of Milaha competency-based Assessment tools (PI and PLI); provide guidance on interpretation of results, especially as it related to job requirement and comparison of candidates.
Team Management & Development
• Manage and guide the recruitment team in meeting recruitment targets by closely following up on active vacancies, having optimal recruitment strategy in place to ensure quality and timely closure of position. Manage escalation from and to the business.
• Guide recruiters to ensure effective pre-on-boarding (documentation and immigration stage), and on-boarding of new hires.  
• Coach subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism;
Employment Offer
• Coordinate with compensation & benefits team to prepare potential financial package (and options); review package options with HR BP and Business; discuss and finalize package with candidate, directly or through recruiters.
• Review drafts of employment offer letters and contracts for selected candidates and ensure all recruitment policies and procedures are adhered to.
External agency management
• Drive direct sourcing, and also maintain professional relationships with external sources of recruitment of Professional staff (such as recruitment search firms, colleges, and other specialized sources) in order to source potential candidates for Milaha vacancies.
• Manage contracts with approved local and overseas recruitment agencies for supply of Production manpower. Ensure all legal and contractual documentation is place for each agency.
• Ensure that membership of recruitment portals are maintained in order to have access to a ready pool of qualified candidates to fill relevant vacancies as and when required
Systems and Reporting
• Coordinate with HRMS team to ensure optimal recruitment systems are in place in order to minimize HR efforts exerted and recruiting cycle time. Continuously improve processes, and be responsible for audit clearance
• Ensure recruitment tracker is maintained, and root cause analysis is conducted. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and resourcing programs, course correct where needed. Provide regular updates to HR BP and Business.
Compliance and audit
• Support internal and external audits of assigned area of responsibility; lead closure of negative observations, minor/major non compliances
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
 

 

Qualifications
 Education & Professional Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or equivalent.

Professional Experience:
8-10 years relevant experience in HR and/or recruitment, including 3 years leading recruitment function for a corporate organization

Geographic Experience:
Middle East experience

Computer Skills:
Good knowledge of MS Office and job portals

Language Skills:
Business fluent English; Arabic is a plus

Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
Solid knowledge, gained thru hand-on experiences, of end to end recruitment techniques and processes.
Maritime, Logistics, Supply Chain industry experience preferred.
Exposure to best in class recruitment and assessment practices.

Description

    Implement and follow the optimal staff structure according to the stores’ needs and productivity targets by coordinating the distribution of budgeted hours and headcount and ensuring their compliance with applicable local laws and regulations
    Manage the recruitment process, enhance selection tools and methods, conduct interviews as well as implement inductions and on-boarding processes.
    Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently implemented (employee handbook, standard operation procedures, uniform procedures, working hours, staff lockers and the staff room procedures…)
    Implement employee relations programs and evaluate their effectiveness (exit interviews, employee surveys, absenteeism and turnover rates…)
    Implement the disciplinary policy based on the disciplinary action matrix, ensuring the alignment with the local labor law
    Ensure that workplace health, safety and security comply with local laws, regulations and company’s code of conduct
    Train, guide and motivate shop managers to develop their teams and manage talent ensuring that employees have the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to meet current and future business requirements
    Coach managers on conflict resolutions and handling employee issues to increase productivity and boost employee morale.
    Follow up on the completion of Performance Development Plans (PDP’s) and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP’s) through various learning activities and manage the performance appraisal cycle

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
    Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus
    Proficiency in MS Office
    Train-the-trainer (TTT) and Coaching certifications are a must
    2 to 3 years of experience in HR within a retail company

Scope of Work :     


Fully understand and embrace Six Senses company vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host’s duty.
Adhere to all Six Senses brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.
Maintain effective relationships with department and division heads. Consistently follow up on all recruitment matters with the relevant division or department heads to ensure all vacancies are filled in a timely manner.
Review all applications received on a daily basis. Respond to all that are not suitable within 3 days of receipt.
Interview all suitable candidates in a timely manner, no later than 1 week after receipt.
Where a position is vacant forward pre-screened applications and interview notes to the relevant department or division head, as appropriate, for further interview.
Maintain a register of active applications, including a tracking system to ensure all active applications are managed and followed through in a timely manner.
All applications must be managed in a reasonable time frame. An acceptable time frame is 2 weeks from receipt to final interview.
Once final approval for hire has been received from the General Manager, prepare the package proposal, job description and employment contract and email to the applicant along with the list of relevant documentation required to prepare for their hire, including work permit information for expatriate hosts.
On receipt of the signed contract, for expatriate hosts, liaise with the new host to complete the work permit documentation and submit to the Government Relations Officer for processing.
Arrange through the resort’s travel agent for the issuing of the new host’s airline ticket.
Arrange for overnight accommodation and all other transport arrangements for hosts arriving in Muscat.
Review all internal applications received and liaise with the host’s department head and receiving department head to interview and approve applications.
Advise all hosts of the status of their application for transfer or promotion - successful or unsuccessful, and file the internal transfer application on the host’s personal file.
Update the vacancy list as Host Requisition Forms are received ensuring the list is current at all times.
Email the vacancy list to Home Office recruitment on a weekly basis to ensure the Six Senses Careers website is updated.
Maintain a log of all current vacancies, including a list of all applicants under consideration and the status of their applications.
Prepare advertisements for approved publications as required.
Research potential websites and other publications where positions may be advertised and make recommendations to the Director of Human Resources and Training, including the relevant costs.
Complete any other duty assigned by your manager.
Arrive on time in full uniform in accordance with the company grooming guideline.
 

 

Qualification :     

 

Position Requirements:
Human Resources qualification or equivalent years of experience in a human resources office.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Thorough understanding of the job requirements of hotel/resort positions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

    Communicate with the Client’s representatives continuously regarding Project Progress and areas of concern.
    Propose in-house Project Management procedure to comply with Contract requirements and Client procedures.

    Assist the Project Director in leading the Project Management staff in assessing variations and claims and report the technical position of the proposed variation to the Client.
    Advise the Project Director of any foreseen slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.
    Review weekly and monthly reports as presented by Design/Supervision Consultant(s) and Contractor and present to the Client comments of non-compliance, and/or area of concern and corrective actions.
    Coordinate with the Design Manager during the detailed design stage of the Project to ensure Design Compliance with Client requirements avoid any cost impact.

 
Qualifications
 

    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
    At least fifteen years of experience in a Construction Management role.
    Experience working on PPP and EBC/Turnkey projects is a must
    PMP, CIOB, RICS, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
    Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
    Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including excel and word.
    Excellent command of written and spoken English.
    Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
    Excellent communication and organization skills.
