Position Description:


We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join the Building Maintenance Division (BMD) of the Utilities & Facilities Department.

The BMD is responsible for providing 24/7 Building Trades and Utilities Maintenance services to Core Area, Corporate Data Center, Industrial and Remote Area facilities, elevators and associated lifting equipment within Saudi Aramco buildings and facilities across the Eastern Province.

The Mechatronics Engineer’s primary role is to oversee service mechanics/technicians and repair teams during the installation and maintenance of elevators and other lifting equipment for the 32 proponents under the division’s scope of maintenance. Over 200 pieces of equipment are maintained by the division.
 

 

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.

You will have seven years of experience in elevator maintenance, including at least five years of experience as a supervisor.

You must be familiar with elevator ASME A17.1 standards and other lifting equipment ASME standards.

You must have experience in operating and maintaining different types of elevators (hydraulic, electrical traction, etc.).

You must be experienced in elevator electrical and mechanical components and their importance in elevator functioning.

You will have the ability to procure and maintain spare parts so no equipment is out of service due to lack of supplies.

You will stay up-to-date with the latest elevators and lifting equipment technology.

You must have experience of pre-commissioning and commissioning of elevators.

You must be able to demonstrate leadership skills to manage contractors under your supervision.

A valid driving license is also necessary.

You must have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Direct and supervise a unit consisting of multiple teams of craftsman engaged in routine maintenance, repair, renovation, alteration, installation and minor new construction work on a daily basis, and during emergencies and after working hours.

Occasionally update management with a brief on special projects or areas of interest or operational concerns.

Communicate regularly with the division head to discuss resource requirements and operational concerns.

Communication daily with unit craftsmen to monitor work progress, issues and concerns.

Perform all managerial functions such as accountability reports, personnel actions, training and development of staff members.

Supervise and provide technical instructions to unit manpower.

Ensure satisfactory completion of work in accordance to the scope of work, proponent requirements and Aramco standards, in a cost-effective manner.

Enforce all company construction and safety standards at the worksite and ensure all workers are properly trained to perform assigned tasks.

Inspect work quality control in accordance with scope of work, proponent requirements and company safety standards.

On a daily basis review daily all time cards, material logs, equipment and other requisitions for accuracy.

Assist Maintenance Engineers in improving work methods, material selection, repair solutions and preventive maintenance programs.

Position Description:


We are seeking an experienced Estimating Engineer to join our Project Management team (PMT). Saudi Aramco Project Management Teams are directly responsible and accountable for the delivery of best in class capital projects assigned to department. PMT is directly involved in executing and managing assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance. This will involve engineering design, procurement and construction of various sizes, types and complexity of small, medium to multi-billion-dollar mega size projects. Some of these mega projects include the Marjan Increment Program, the Crude Oil to Chemicals program, the Gas Compression Program, the Berri & Zuluf Increment and AMIRAL Program.

Project Management Departments manages and executes projects usually from multiple site offices or engineering contractor design offices, geographically scattered throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Estimating Engineer's primary role is to ensure that engineering design, procurement, construction and project completion is done in compliance with the project contract requirements i.e. project schedule, cost, HSE, company standards and procedures. Estimating Engineer role also involves in some cases to review and study modifications to infrastructure, oil & gas processing / handling and utilities facilities. Occasionally called upon to design electrical engineering/construction aspects of new facilities of the types mentioned.
Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.

You will have at least Fifteen (15) years of experience, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in his field.

Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) and no second language is required.

Must have Engineering Design & Construction Estimating phase experience with able to utilize computer-estimating programs, such as Aspentech ACCE, Timberline etc. and be familiar with estimate databases such as Means, Richardson and others.

Dynamic attitude towards project improvements and savings with a PMP Certification is desirable but not mandatory.
 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Development of cost estimates across project lifecycle using methodologies and techniques such as level of effort, factored analogy, detailed take off or parametric modelling and develop project budgets.

Provide overall estimating technical and professional expertise in the resolution of complex estimating problems and coordinate estimating activities as a group/unit leader when required.

Execute overall capabilities in preparing detailed estimates for various types of projects, including multi-billion-dollar oil and gas projects.

Develop MTOs and/or verify MTOs and material, equipment and bulk quantities against P&IDs and drawings.

Prepare multi-discipline conceptual, detailed and definitive cost estimates for Saudi Aramco Capital Projects and will review estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with the scope of work.

Interface with multiple organizations to review and discuss project scope and estimate basis, and consult on company estimating methods/procedures.

Provide technical support in the review of design packages and drawings, and assist project management and contracting personnel with bid analysis and contract negotiations as necessary.

Coordinate with teammates on company estimating methods/procedures and preparation directions.

Keep abreast of changing developments in estimating advances by reviewing technical literature, contact with contractors, visits to construction locations and attending professional and technical meetings.

Demonstrate expertise in working to tight deadlines.

Scope of Activities:

You bring to the role:

Minimum Requirements

    Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering from a recognized University.
    Fluent in English (written and spoken).
    3 – 6 years of professional experience in the upstream oil and gas onshore sector, ideally with a background in working for consultancy organizations executing conceptual, FEED, PMC and EPCM scopes.
    Highly numerate with a good working knowledge of the company and international codes and standards, including API, ISO, ASME, ISA, Shell DEPs, BP GPs etc.
    Conversant with industry standard software such as HYSYS, Unisim, Flare System Analyzer, Pipesim, Phast, Flaresim, etc.
    Experience in onshore gas processing and technical process safety studies for oil and gas production facilities would be an advantage.

Wood is currently recruiting Offshore Engineering Manager to join our Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP) in Al - Khobar, Saudi Arabia. OMPP is a multi - year, multi program venture covering both greenfield and brownfield offshore projects here in Saudi Arabia. The scope of this program includes Engineering & Design, Procurement and Construction Management

    Have commitment to HSSE, policies and procedures of Wood Al Hejailan (WAH) and Client
    Appoint, monitor and provide oversight of all Engineering Discipline Head of Departments (HoD) under OMPP
    Follow Wood Al Hejailan (WAH) / Client engineering procedures and practices and monitor compliance
    Provide oversight of all licensed engineering software requirements and usage
    Liase with other WAH offices with respect to resource managment
    Supervise technical proposal preparation by HoD including monitoring of staffing plans, staff utilization and Saudization targets
    Support Project Management Team in prospect/proposal reviews
    Identify any specialized software or resources that are currently outside the OMPP business plan that must be included in proposal or company overhead
    Develop and participate in key recruitment efforts to promote employee development and Saudization
    Manage direct reports including managing work allocation, training, mentoring, problem resolution, performance evaluation and the building of an effective team dynamic
    Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in department
    Recommends training requirements, has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives, and may recommend that personnel be hired or removed from the Department

 

Skills / Qualifications

    A minimum of a BS in Engineering and good knowledge of discipline codes of practice, standards, and statutory documentation. Solid grasp of discipline engineering practices and techniques and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of discipline projects
    At least twenty years experience in Engineering of which 10 years in offshore oil and gas plus 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in an international organization
    Experience in a senior management role
    Brownfield/Greenfield experience in Studies/Pre-FEED/FEED/Detailed Design for Offshore Projects
    Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; Arabic skills a plus
    Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills
    Team player, fully supportive of the Team
    Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills
