 Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking to recruit a Site HSE Officer for one of its ADNOC group of companies projects to be based at site, United Arab Emirates.

 

Successful candidate would be responsible for the following;

    To oversight the activities of the EPC Contractor to ensure that the ADNOC Codes of Practice as per the Agreement are being implemented.
    To oversight the construction worksite to ensure compliance to the approved construction method statements and task risk analysis for the various activities
    To comment and review Contractor proposed method statements and task risk assessments to ensure compliance with the Agreement, UAE legislation and industry best practices
    To conduct HSE and Welfare Audits within the workplace and accommodation camps, contributing to recommendation, then reviewing close out and follow up actions
    To conduct frequent audits and inspections to confirm the effectiveness of HSE programs on critical operations / equipment and procedures at assigned location; present recommendations for improvement; and follow-up their implementation
    To review Contractor generated statistics, reports, and presentations required for management reporting
    To promote safe working systems and procedures and monitor the proper application of the Permit to Work system and associated Task Risk Analysis, as well as other approved HSSE and contractor related policies, plans, procedures and guidelines
    To coordinate and participate in the provision of HSE safety and awareness campaigns from Company and EPC Contractor
    To contribute to the investigation of accidents and incident reporting as per the Company and Agreement requirements
    To validate that any EPC Contractor incidents are immediately reported to EPC Contractor management and PMC HSSE management in accordance with procedures

Skills / Qualifications

    Bachelor of Science in Engineering from a recognized and reputed university
    10 years of site HSE experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemicals Industry
    Must have site shutdown experience, preferably in Habshan or similar sites

Looking for a HSE Engineer and for a 1-year contract in Dubai.

Responsibilities of HSE Engineer :

    Develop a culture to anticipate and prevent health and safety hazardous conditions.
    Conduct HSE inspections (once in a week each site) and AZDP self-assessments.
    Manage reports and present summaries to EHS management with suggested solutions accordance with statuary requirement and SWP of Alstom.
    Working on shared site in required shifts (Day or Night)
    Execute environmental management processes such as chemicals and waste management and pollution prevention.
    Conduct EHS induction for Workers and Staff. (English and Hindi)
    Conduct EHS trainings for worker and staff.
    Preparation of internal and external audits.
    Conduct COSHH assessment and record to be kept with storage.
    Keep the documents and update the record files.
    Ensure incident reporting protocol.
    Coordinate with site execution teams and other stake holders on day-to-day issues.
    Attend EHS Meetings.
    Issue and keeping record of PTW
    Keep record of EHS document in each site.

Requirements for HSE Engineer:

·       Academic qualifications: Degree or Diploma

·       Professional qualifications: NEBOSH IGC or level 4 certification in HSE

·       Experience: Minimum 5 years in HSE

·       Fluent in English and Hindi. (for EHS induction and EHS trainings)

·       Must have report writing skills.

Account Management


I. Maintain customer communication regarding export cargo from various global origins to the Middle East and Central Asia region. This includes and is not limited to:

·        Ensuring that the legalization process was correctly done if this is required


·        Updating customers about sending originals documents as required

II. Work and communicate with internal departments including Sales & Purchasing, Operations, Credit, Transportation, and Customer Service teams to keep customers up to date on the status of their cargo.


·        Ensure the on-time delivery of customer products.


·        Assisting in solving problems and customer follow-up.


·        Provide data for claims when needed.


 


Logistics


 


I. Cooperate and problem solve with carriers, forwarding companies, and other entities requiring involvement in the successful delivery of customer cargo.

·        Familiar with modes of transportation, ocean shipping, and documentation.


·        You need to have general knowledge of Incoterms and contract application.


·        Strong computer skills, in MS Office software and very proficient with computer programs.


 


Language Requirements:


·        The candidate is required to speak, read, and write in English and Arabic fluently.
