Main Duties : 

Brevan is currently looking for a QC Mechanical Engineer for a large offshore carbon steel pipeline project. 

Candidate must have a minimum 3 -5 years experience working on similar offshore carbon steel pipeline projects. 


Minimum Requirement 

• Shall have a valid AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 certification in welding inspection and a minimum of five years’ experience in welding inspection after the certification.

 • Valid CSWIP or PCN certification in interpretation of radiographs or ASNT Level Ill certification in radiography and shall have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in film interpretation after the certification. 

• ASNT or PCN Level II certification in the (MT, PT, UT) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience after the certification. 

• In addition to Pipeline experience (offshore) & Oil/Gas experience.

Job Purpose

Monitor and report the energy practices, updates and status to provide with the needed support for the company plants and operations with respect to energy efficiency. Recommend on energy criteria required for the current equipment or planned projects. Coordinate the updates on Energy Management with the concerned teams to ensure aligned practices.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Energy Efficiency

Calculate the emissions, flaring, energy savings, energy consumptions etc. for all operations and projects to ensure proper tracking of energy efficiency.

Analyse the energy efficiency data to ensure proper performance in line with the company directions.

Recommend and report the energy-related updates and calculations to ensure timely sharing of the updates with the management and related teams.

Advise on any improper or deviation of energy efficiency for equipment, operation conditions, projects or activities to ensure the needful support.

Energy Standards

Develop the energy limits and standards for all assets, operations and activities; transportation, materials handling, machining etc.

Design and recommend the energy reports, forms and templates to ensure proper record.

Maintain and update the energy record to ensure availability of information.

Conduct energy-related audits to ensure the desired compliance by the respective team.

Participate in deploying or developing the Energy Management Systems and Certification in line with company directions, ADNOC Code of Practice, and International Certificates; ISO50001.

Energy Communication

Communicate and train the operations focal points and process trainers understand with respect to energy consumption how their activities and behaviour contributes to the achievement of energy objectives and targets.

Draft and propose different types of communications, on timely basis, for energy related targets and objectives to all relevant personnel.

Develop jointly with training department energy related training materials and annual energy training plan.

Job Description:


Identify concession areas which can be offered to major Oil & Gas entities for hydrocarbon exploration, development and Productions

Prepare documents, data room information etc. for bid rounds and conduct bid rounds in collaboration, reviewing and evaluating technical and commercial documents of offers and formalize appropriate recommendations.

Conclude agreements with the awarded contractors and take all the necessary actions to ensure the commencement of operations as agreed.

Overview / Responsibilities


Wood is currently looking for Senior Project Engineer to strengthen our team in Dubai. This is a home office position.

This is a Home Office position based in Dubai, but will involve visits to the Client offices and/or site in Iraq. Normal working time will be 48 hours / 5 days per week

The contract is to provide engineering and procurement services, for gas processing in the southern area of Iraq

The work may consist of Conceptual study, FEED and detailed engineering and procurement for various brownfields projects in southern Iraq to capture the flared gas and process. Consisting of upstream gas gathering (dehydration and compression), gas processing (NGL and LPG trains), LPG refrigeration, storage and jetty off loading and pipelines

Reporting to a Project Manager, the candidate will be support the efficient execution of the projects to ensure that it is delivered within schedule, cost, and in accordance with the project quality and HSE standards

To lead and manage the project engineering team

To have single-point responsibility for all deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client's policies and procedures

To ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the asset operational needs

To ensure that own actions plus those of the project team are conducted in accordance with the HSE management system

To ensure the efficient delivery of the project within schedule, cost, and quality standards

To ensure in the development of the project schedule and then take ownership once base line is approved

To manage the project risks and responsibility for related actions and close out of such

To manage change control within the appointed projects

To ensure the application of effective business controls throughout the project and in accordance with stated requirements. Controls will apply to all HSE, commercial, financial, quality, integrity, and schedule issues

To prepare individual project reports, interface definition and management, plus liaison with Client project managers

To ensure that technical integrity is fully maintained and that all deviations to project standards/procedures are formally recorded and approved

To identify and cost or schedule reduction opportunities and ensure that these are pursued wherever appropriate

To manage and report of both budget and schedule on a weekly and monthly basis

To manage of all project audit reports, and ensuring that all audit action items are closed-out in a timely manner

To identify and resolove of project issues at the earliest opportunity

To exercise control over manpower and material resources in order to complete the project within budget, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements

To promote a planning - execute - measure - feedback methodology in project engineering



Skills / Qualifications


Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.)

Membership of a recognised professional institute preferred

Shall have worked previously as a Project Manager or a Lead Project Engineer within the oil and gas sector on single projects or a portfolio

Minimum of 12 years' experience in design, construction, and general project engineering in the oil and gas industry

Minimum of 5 years experience of project cost control and planning systems

Minimum of 8 years proven capability in an EPC type company

Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred

Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
