Employment: Full Time

We have been exclusively assigned by our client, a large international food company based in Oman with over 5,000 people across the Middle East Region.


The business are a prominent food business, that run a large Sales & Distribution operation in Oman.


Our client are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supply Chain & Logistics Manager who can help with the workload demands required for the regional business unit in Muscat, Oman, with the main objective on proficiently managing the warehousing, transport and demand planning. This position entails a high level of responsibility whilst the successful candidate will report directly to the COO.


This role is at times demanding and thus requires a resilient and composed individual who is able to handle the pressure of deadlines daily so as to ensure of successful delivery and efficiency.


Roles & Responsibilities include but limited to;

- Relationship building and nurturing with partners to ensure improvement on cost control.

- Coordinates optimal policies & procedures whilst modelling compliance

- Managing warehouses in compliance with Supply Chain, company policies and legal requirements.

- Overseeing warehouse and distribution operations..

- Interfacing with Sales Management and strategically ensuring stock flow from warehouses

- Productive communication between all process functions including warehouses and BU’s, Planning, Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance & HR.

- Monitor efficiency of warehousing and distribution operations using productivity and financial KPI’s

- Responsible for ensuring that inventory controls are managed, to meet targets

- Ensure team briefings take place on a daily/weekly basis in designated warehouses to ensure all information is properly cascaded to the team

- Contribute to the recruitment process and ensure induction and motivation of the team is happening in his designated warehouses.

- Managing a a team of around 150 people by identifying needs and providing relevant training to drive efficient production & work performance across warehouses. Motivate, guide, coach and empower team members to achieve and perform effectively as a team.

- Using productivity and financial KPI's to ensure efficiency of warehousing and distribution operations

- Responsible for ensuring that all Health & Safety, hygiene guidelines as well as warehouses security.


Requirements

In order to be considered for the role our client requires the successful candidate meets the following criteria;

- Is currently working as a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager

- Must have experience in working for a food related company previously, minimum of 2 years food distribution/Supply Chain experience.

- Previous managerial experience essential, minimum of 5 years managerial experience

- The candidate is open to re-locating to Oman where this role is based

- Candidate living in Oman is desirable, but not essential

POSITION SUMMARY

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC) a BAE Systems majority owned Joint Venture, as Supply Chain Operations Manager, based in Tabuk.


The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for the management and direction of all Supply Chain Operation within the Capability including Physical Logistics, Priority Management & Physical Asset Management.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES


They are responsible to the Head of Supply Chain for all aspects of the Supply Chain products and/ or services provided of the Pt 145 element of KFAB Supply Chain.


They are also responsible for the co-ordination of all appropriate areas to ensure compliance with the relevant governance requirements for Continuing Platform worthiness and Maintenance regulatory frameworks, of both the Customer contracts, and Platform Maintenance Function. Ensure motivation and effective utilisation of workforce, adherence to SHE, Quality and internal/ external regulations. In addition, they are also responsible for the delegation of authority to other approved signatories across their platform/ business area as required.


Other responsibilities include:


Ensure the effective leadership of platform related Supply Chain activities by setting delivery targets, monitoring progress and developing performance improvement programmes.


Responsible for management reviews; the assessment of escalated issues for impact on Continuing Platform worthiness, operational/process performance and generating effective resolution, or sponsoring escalation to senior management, as appropriate.


Ensuring all platform related Supply Chain activities are appropriately documented and the appropriate records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based).


Ensure all platform related Supply Chain activities are performed by suitably qualified, experienced and authorised personnel. Lead the integration of all Supply Chain activity within the business and in particular the engagement of key stakeholders at all stages of the process.


Lead the platform related Supply Chain’s compliance with the associated procedures and standards, as applicable, including compliance with the regulatory exposition. Drive and implement change as required, whilst ensuring compliance.


Lead the application of Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management and Safety Assurance within the platform related Supply Chain, together with the proactive analysis, mitigation and management of Hazards.


Ensure all platform related Supply Chain activities are compliant with the SMSCMC Governance and Assurance framework. Ensure Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits are supported by Supply Chain personnel. Manage audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide information into the relevant reviews. Generate, deliver and implement effective improvements to overcome any non-compliance and monitor effectiveness.


Able to demonstrate a detailed understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Platform worthiness and Maintenance Regulatory framework, and ensure any Regulatory-driven changes are implemented. Lead platform related Supply Chain’s compliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc.


Contractual Requirements – Lead compliance with all applicable contractual requirements, e.g. through support to contract reviews, and ensure communication and implementation of any changes into platform related Supply Chain activities, as appropriate.


RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION


Experienced and competent leader at this level. Requires broad supply chain knowledge, a full understanding of the applicable Regulatory Framework, expert competence within Supplier Management, Priority Progression (MICAP) and Physical Logistics including a understanding of the relationship with interfacing/ contributory areas.


Also requires:


Strong quantitative, analytical and project management skills/experience, with Lean management principles.


Effective, highly credible communicator with strong interpersonal skills. 


Requires broad product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the relationship with interfacing / contributory areas.


Ability to analyse and interpret data.


Comprehensive understanding of current IT software packages used within the Demand Management discipline.


Good understanding of Project Management techniques.


Understanding of the Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes within BAE Systems and the operating Customer.

Wood is currently looking for a  Procurement Manager to work on the engineering and project management services in Saudi Arabia our Al-Khobar office


Work on Procurement Procedures and Work Practices

Maintain the Project Procurement Execution Plan

Work with Licensors, Clients, and Wood secrecy agreements

Update and maintain Project Supplier Lists

Check that supervised personnel carry out assigned duties in accordance with job descriptions

Input all progress data to Material Management System and ensure these are up-to-date

Develop contacts with Suppliers' personnel. Maintain the respect of Suppliers and their representatives by adherence to code of conduct and business ethics, corporate policies, procedures and work practices

Maintain awareness of the materials supply situation including area sources, price levels and current deliveries. Advise the Commodity Purchasing Manager and / or Manager Purchasing of possible new sources of supply

When requested contribute to current and projected price and delivery trends

When requested carry out spare parts co-ordination activities in accordance with the Project Procurement Execution Plan

When requested by Commodity Purchasing Manager attend monthly cross project commodity meetings

Skills / Qualifications

Education to A-level standard, preferably with Business or Engineering knowledge

Degree in Business or Engineering (or similar)

Minimum 15 years’ working experience on Oil and Gas projects for a general Engineering Service Contractor

Project purchasing experience

Direct purchasing on a global basis

Ability to prepare negotiation strategies / techniques and participate / lead negotiations

Good knowledge of project procurement execution (start to finish)

Good knowledge of Oil and Gas supply chain or related supply chain
